Compare, Despair, Repeat: How Social Media Hijacks Your Self-Worth
We are not supposed to talk about this. That social media is making us miserable. That it's affecting our mental health. That we're outsourcing our self-worth to an algorithm and calling it a Tuesday. In this episode, I sit down with Mari Wuellner — founder of The Crew Life and a multi-business owner who took a three-month social media sabbatical last summer and came out the other side with some uncomfortable truths. We talk about what actually happens when you cut the cord. The withdrawal symptoms (yes, they're real). The faux loneliness that disappears the second you start having actual coffee with actual humans. The "in-between moments" we've trained ourselves out of — the grocery line, the red light, the wait at a restaurant — that we now reflexively fill with scrolling because we've forgotten how to just be.We get into the compare-and-despair loop, the way the algorithm decides your worth on any given day, and the racket of "everyone's an expert now" (yes, we drag Mel Robbins, you're welcome). We talk about hate comments, body comments, and the desensitization that happens when the algorithm serves you a puppy video, then a grandpa with a baby, then a woman being murdered in the street. And we talk about what to do about it. Not in a perfect, Pinterest, ten-step-system way. In a real way.If you've felt like social media is doing something to you and you can't quite name it, this one's for you.About MariMari Wuellner is a feisty entrepreneur, multi-business owner, and founder of The Crew Life Coaching Collective. She opened her insurance agency in 2008, growing it to $3MM in annual premium, and launched her coaching practice in 2017. After her kids kept saying "don't post it," Mari took a 3-month social media sabbatical that revolutionized how she shows up in business and life. Now she helps women design lives they actually want to live—not just perform online. Mari is married to Tom, mom to three kids, real estate investor, podcaster, and avid traveler who believes in living on purpose, not by default.Connect with Mari:Instagram: @mariwuellnerThe Crew Life: www.thecrewcc.comConnect with Danielle:Instagram: @inspiredactionwellnessWebsite: inspiredactionwellness.comCopyright & Legal DisclaimerAll content in this podcast episode is the intellectual property of Danielle Young and Fine, I’ll Talk About It, unless otherwise stated. Finding Your Purpose: Why Your Job Isn't It & How to Live Full Out
Are you confusing your job title for your life's purpose? In this episode, I sit down with Tanesha L. Moody — ICF certified coach, keynote speaker, and founder of Full Out Coaching — for a real conversation about what life purpose actually is, why so many of us are walking around feeling lost, and how to start living what she calls "full out."Tanesha shares her own journey from professional dance and theater, into corporate leadership at Salesforce, Marriott, Disney, and Under Armour, into a layoff that sent her to Costa Rica to learn Spanish and figure out her life. That unraveling is what eventually built the Ignis framework she now uses with her clients to help them find, name, and live their purpose. We get into the difference between your purpose and your assignments, why "that couldn't be me" from the people around you might actually be confirmation you're on the right path, and how to reframe rejection so it stops gutting you every time it shows up. We talk about being multi-passionate, the trap of attaching your identity to your job, and what it really takes to stop "marking it" through your life and start showing up performance-quality.If you've ever felt stuck between assignments, paralyzed by fear of picking the wrong direction, or unsure what your gifts even are — this episode is going to give you a real starting point.About Our GuestTanesha L. Trauma Healing: Why Your Coach Must Do Their Own Inner Work First
What if the coach you just paid thousands of dollars to has never actually done their own healing work?In this episode, I sit down with Jacquie Grillon — trained counselor, speaker, and healer — for an honest conversation about what real trauma healing looks like, and why so many people in the coaching, therapy, and healing space haven't done the inner work they're asking you to do.Jacquie shares her journey from addiction and recovery into counseling, the moment she found a therapist who could actually hold space for her (because she'd done her own work), and why she avoided "mommy daddy work" for years before realizing it was the only road that led back to herself. We get into the parts of the wellness and coaching industry no one wants to talk about — paying thousands for someone to tell you what you already know, the death of mentorship, "post and pray" social media coaching, cult-like online followings, and the way surface-level guru content can actually re-traumatize you while wrapping it in a bow.If you've ever felt burned by a coach, frustrated by performative healers, or like you're stuck in a cycle of seeking help that never quite lands — this one's for you.In this episode, we cover:Why finding a therapist who's done her own work changed everythingThe difference between holistic healing modalities that give temporary relief vs. life lessons that require deep inner workHow to spot a coach with great marketing but no substanceWhy "post and pray" is not a business strategyThe death of real mentorship and why everything got monetizedHow surface-level personal development content can re-traumatize youWhat it really means to hold space — and why most people can'tConfidence on camera, online trolls, and the courage to put your message out anywayAbout JacquieJacquie Grillon is a speaker, facilitator and guide whose work blends radical resilience, deep healing and the unapologetic act of choosing yourself. Psychics, Reiki & the Year That Broke Us
Psychic medium and Reiki master Jackie Ortez joins Danielle for a conversation that refuses to stay on topic — in the best way. They start with the alternative therapy world: what Reiki actually is, why readings are for confirmation not fortune-telling, and why even Jackie goes to other psychics when she needs answers (because we're all biased about our own lives). From there: astrology compatibility, the year of the snake shedding its skin, and why 2025 broke damn near everyone — including Jackie, who got five weeks of shingles trying to push through it. She shares her prediction that 2026 is the rebuild, possibly the collapse-and-reset of the United States at its 250th anniversary, and why the destruction had to happen before anything new could grow. They also get into the Diddy documentary, the falling of false idols, victim shaming on juries, and why social media is a void most of us need to climb out of. Jackie's take: informed, not immersed. If you've ever paid $90 for a reading just to walk out thinking I already knew that — this one's for you.About Our GuestJackie Ortez is a psychic/medium, reiki master who believes that everyone deserves to heal and have a great life.
