Finicky

A podcast that probes into a wide spectrum of financial thingamajigs ranging from the most random to the highly relevant, only to foster an idea among the Gen Z and the Young millennials of India to think about finance. The podcast deals with financial or fin issues that are unpleasant or icky to hear about. It aims to make them bearable even for the finickiest listener. S01E01 Icky Term

In this appendix to the main episode (because I did not want to break the theme or I spoke for way too long there), I will explain a financial term with real-life relevance, that you think you know but you won't mind another explanation on it from a peer. Here, I offer analogies from your school days, pop culture, and basically anything and everything to cover as much field as possible to explain the basics and the surroundings of that term in the easiest manner possible.  Check out this episode to know what is this week's icky term.  Catch me Insta and Facebook @finickypodcast  Cheers, and let's FIN-esse the ICKY-ness of these complex terms.

Sir, I think you have the wrong number

In this episode, I elaborate upon my shower thought that using lakhs and crores or the Indian numbering system of large numbers has obstructed our understanding and perception of wealth in our economy. I believe that if information is not immediately perceivable and consumable, we will simply de-prioritize it, given how much information we consume on a daily basis. Using this logic, I lay down a background that the Indian way of looking at financial figures puts us away from the road to financial knowledge and insight.
