Episode 2 - Coaches as Experts
Do coaches need to be experts in their field to yield successful results? In this episode I talk about two coaches I have met that are true experts in their respective sporting fields. However, one of these coaches was not a competitive athlete in the sport they are currently coaching (Diving). The other coach I talk about was a very competitive Long and Triple Jumper, but he was my throwing coach as a senior at SUNY Fredonia. Both have coached All-American athletes in their respective coaching fields without having the playing experience associated with the events they have had success coaching in.
