Why do we seek to be inclusive and tolerant? Is it human nature or a recent development? Frankly, we are a bit skeptical that anybody truly adheres to a fully coherent sense of what inclusivity means. Given that Christianity is pretty much the most inclusive thing out there because "God so loved the world he gave his only begotten son so that WHOEVER believes in Him shall never die but have everlasting life", why does our sense of inclusivity break down? Where does it break down? And why does it seem to be that the ones who proclaim the most inclusiveness actually  seem to live in an exclusive club? Where is God in all of this? Listen in and we'll go there together.Central Oregon, the Bend area, more specifically Redmond OR, is home to Free Indeed Ministries. Throughout the years they have aided the Church, the body of believers, in issues regarding their friends, neighbors, congregations, churches, pastors, youth leaders, small group leaders, colleagues and co-workers, and family members on issues of same sex attraction, gay identity, pornography and porn issues, transgender, transexual, sexual identity issues and all things to do with sexuality. John, 56, who used to live hard and fast in the Gay lifestyle had spent many years in dejection because of the rejection he felt by the Church and the people of God and is now an active purveyor of the Gospel of Grace and the love of Jesus Christ. While still experiences same sex attractions, he no longer engages in the lifestyle because of the Grace and love of Jesus Christ. However, the message that brought him back was not one that the Church was preaching. So now he and Brandon Visser, 24, spend their days engaging the Church and the people of the world in a conversation breaking down the preconceived notions that Christian culture and LGBTQ+ culture put up against each other, lay the cross in the middle of the gap and help people engage in conversations that otherwise wouldn't happen. John and Brandon give their unique perspective on situations from their experience and the bible. Essentially, Free Indeed is an organization that seeks to equip the Church, to deal with social issues and love the LGBTQ+ community with the love and grace of Jesus without compromising the word, without fear, anger, hatred, or condemnation, and we teach the world to receive that love based on their identity in Jesus Christ. In Christian Culture so often when we are faced with something that makes us uncomfortable or we feel ill equipped to handle it gracefully and scripturally so what happens is you end up "speaking the truth in love" however this doesn't end up being very loving. In this episode we will explore what phrases are most commonly used to minister to those who are same sex attracted, the attitudes behind them, and the effects felt by each. We can all learn a lot from what God tells us to say, We can learn even more when we learn "What not to say".

Are we as Christians called to change someones behavior? What is it about that that is so appealing to us? Does the way you live determine the way God looks at you? Christian culture has a nack for "calling them like i see them" as if we can determine someone's standing with God based on the way a person lives. In this episode we explore the difference between a person's life: who they are as a beloved creation, and lifestyle: what they do with that revelation. What are the implications of judging someone's standing with God based on their behaviors or life choices? What are we attempting to change when we minister to someone? Does living according to the ten commandments mean you are in God's good graces? Does God require you to live righteously so that you can be pleasing to Him? Or are our efforts to please Him futile because theres nothing we could ever do to be perfect? This western culture is all about what you bring to the table. In this episode we will discuss exactly what we bring to the table and what God thinks of it, the efficacy of Jesus' sacrifice on the cross and the real extent of His love, or should I say the limitless reaches.

What is your title? Do you have a societal label on you?From the beginning people have been attempting to label people to put them into categories. An understandable notion. However we are going to explore in this episode the origins of certain labels, where they came from, why they were made, and what they say about people today. Learn what God's label for you is.

A war is being fought. You are on the front lines. The perimeters are set, the lines are drawn, the sentries are out, the armaments are at the ready and at dawn it's either us or them. Sadly the church and the culture surrounding it are these two sides. The Lord says "go into all the world and make disciples". "I am doing that!" you say. Today we explore just how isolated the church can be and how militant BOTH sides are, the reasons behind it, and the solutions or should I say The Solution to the problem at hand. If God loves you all the time, does he love you while you're sinning? How far does God's mercy go? He loves us, but does he like us? And if he likes us does he like us all the time? Today we explore that very question. It's the difference between freedom and bondage. Lets explore this.

You shall either serve the one and hate the other or love the one and despise the other. There's no room at the top for two when considering the throne of our lives. Jesus lovingly warns us about the dangers of letting things creep to the top to replace Him. His love is so overwhelmingly steadfast and consistent that we as human's are drawn to it. But what happens when we get distracted, what happens when the lies we were given as children climb back to the surface? It comes down to choice, do we choose to serve ourselves and our perceived lack or need or allow Jesus to be true to who He is and serve us His love and affection? What does it mean when you hear people say "all my chains are broken, Jesus set me free!" To your average person this doesn't make much sense. But when we examine this question today "how do we become free and what are we free from?" as described by Paul, then you will understand just how free you are in the power and by the blood of Jesus. you are free from guilt, fear, shame, addiction, and bondages, even if you are still in the midst of it. Have you ever felt like "how can God like me? Ultimately its "striving to make God pleased with me" And we talk about the thoughts that cause us to start to spiral and how to get out of them and how we can truly treat God as a close friend who WILL give us clarity on what is going on and how to see things with new eyes. Hello all! We're back! In this episode we will recap some things that have happened since we last met, one of them being how in life as we all know, sometimes things don't exactly go the way we planned. sometimes they look different, sometimes something God told you would happen has been delayed, its been changed from what you thought would happen, or its come about in a completely different way than you expected. In this episode we explore how we deal with when that happens and how to see God's grace in his vision and will for our life.

God so easily gets put into a box within the confines of our human thinking. And over the years we have even gone so far as to put the Gospel in a box. Today we talk about not just the Romans Road but the idea of a Gospel checklist and we take a look at the true power of God in the Gospel. Do you have to make it through every single point of the Romans Road to ensure salvation for the person? Why do we feel like failures or assume that there wasn't a saving faith if all points aren't accepted? All this and more today, come join us!

So often we look at ourselves as being broken and we're so painfully aware of what we believe we can't do. But how often are we taught that we truly can be different? That we can be changed? That we are changed in Christ? Today we explore this question and the story of Nehemiah.

More often than not we look at sexuality as part of our lives when it actually becomes part of our identity because we as humans are sexual beings. So what is sexual identity? The second installment of John and I speaking at The Foundry Church in Bend Oregon with the message of Free Indeed and God's grace. this week we talk about the appropriate responses to our situations and the difficulty of navigating the waters of sexual identity with someone and how we can best represent Christ and his love to those around us.

The third week in our four week series at the Foundry Church in Bend OR. This week we talk about how sexuality has been morphed around and jumbled together in the mind and how love, sex, and intimacy are all truly independent of themselves and can be experienced separately as well as together and how we have been trained to see them as one big mess, and we will talk bout how sex has a much deeper profound effect on us that we realize.

This episode we talk about the things in our minds that separate us from them, Christians from non Christians, believers from non believers, and we see that the evidence for redemption isn't always what we think. Sometimes our pictures of what separates us are actually mirrors into our own perceptions of God.

There are so many things in the world that we grow up thinking define us. This week we expose a few more that you might not have thought of before.
