From Campus to County

As the Dean of UF/IFAS Extension and Director of the Florida Cooperative Extension Service, Dr. Andra Johnson leads a statewide network of more 650 faculty educators and scientist, whose programs and expertise support economic, environmental and community health. In this podcast, Dr, Johnson talks about how his team, represented in small, medium, and large counties, responds to the unique needs of Florida’s 67 counties.    

In this inaugural episode, we are privileged to welcome Dr. Scott Angle, Senior Vice President for Agriculture and Natural Resources at the University of Florida and leader of the UF Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences (UF/IFAS). Now in his fifth year with the University, Dr. Angle shares insights into UF’s legacy as a land-grant institution, the vital roles of teaching, research, and extension in serving Florida’s counties, and the emerging technologies transforming the future of agriculture.
