A conversation with Kanessa Muluneh, an investor and entrepreneur. Kanessa started her first business when she was 19. She’s built businesses in industries ranging from healthcare to sport and gaming, including Rise of Fearless, a battle royale mobile game inspired by African history and set in African landscapes. In this conversation, we talked about how success also requires understanding how to delegate and not do it all on your own, how to understand markets so you’re building products they actually want, how building a platform is also a way to leverage power, and about how investing in emerging markets isn’t always re-inventing the wheel but looking at what works elsewhere and adapting it.
