Through songwriting, she hopes to connect and relate to others.     Gigs Episode 5: Susannah Shell

    We are pleased to present Susannah Shell, a senior business major and singer/songwriter. She started by learning the piano and performing at recitals. She later learned how to play guitar through YouTube and started creating her own songs. This episode features three of her original songs “Cold Front,” “Runner’s High” and “Wild and Free.”

    Gigs Episode 4: Braxton Husk

    Our next spot on "Gigs" is up-and-coming country artist Braxton Husk. Formerly an author with several novels under his belt, he shifted gears into songwriting after picking up the guitar less than a year ago. After his performance of "You Know What You Did" we were lucky enough to be the digital debut of his new single "Butterflies."

    Now in the “Gigs” studio is senior economics student Nico Rey. Filled with vibey acoustic guitar and moving lyrics, Nico’s performance is sure to transport any listener into a new world of music. Nico’s set includes three of their own original songs, “Namesake,” “Thorns” and “Flower/Visions.”

    The pilot episode of “Gigs” features senior communications student Jillian Weeks. A passionate songwriter and performer, Jill has immersed herself in the world of music for as long as she can remember. She joins us in the studio to play three of her own original songs, “Just In Case,” “Friendly Fire” and “Me Again.”
