Gotta Go

Sisters, Molly and Briony Benjamin, try to sit down for a quick catch-up before one of them has Gotta Go. It’s a show for people who are juggling family, work, relationships, and the never-ending to-do list that lives rent-free in your brain. Maybe you’ve got kids at home, maybe they’re older, maybe you’re in that glorious in-between where you can finally drink a hot coffee… but you’re still the one who knows where everything is, when everything is, and why everyone is late. Alongside the laughs, there’s a quiet (but very real) thread running through everything we talk about: how to live a little lighter on the planet without turning your life into a constant guilt trip. We’re looking at practical, everyday choices. the kind that save you money, save you time, and just happen to be better for the environment too. No preaching. No perfection. Just “here’s what we’re trying, here’s what worked, and here’s what made the internet angry.” You’ll also pick up genuinely useful advice; money w

Sidewalk Micro-Feminism, Spooky Ouija Boards and Reading Fairy P*rn

First off, we give a big old shout-out to our Mum, who we didn’t fully appreciate until we had kids of our own.One of us went to an energy healer in Sydney to help with postpartum anxiety. There’s also a really eerie story about a Ouija board which is guaranteed to give you goosebumps. One of us discovered the art of micro-feminism with hilarious results. We realised that our love for AI has catastrophic consequences for the climate and we’re not sure what the solution is.We also laughed about a black-tie filtering strategy for single girls, a legendary family costume-party disaster involving full-body Lycra and the joys of fairy porn.We covered a lot of ground this week, but now we’ve Gotta Go.CHAPTER MARKERS: 00:00 Introduction and Briony’s Sequined Pants01:00 Binging the Kylie Minogue Documentary03:03 Appreciating Mums04:40 Acts of Micro-Feminism08:26 Is it Miss, Mrs or Ms11:46 Dodgy Men and Engagement Rings13:17 The Shocking Environmental Cost of AI Data Centres16:17 Reclaiming Our Brains from AI and Phones18:51 Energy Healing and Clearing Hospital Vibes20:44 The Bondi Shooting and a Spooky Ouija Board Prediction23:41 The Post-Port Arthur Reality and Gun Law Politics26:36 Disillusioned Voters and How Canberra Works29:17 How to Hack a Single Girls' House Party31:54 Best Family Costume Parties and Feral Cats34:09 Micro-Weddings and Destination Bills35:46 Briony’s Garden Wedding and Sisterly Speeches36:44 Career Pivots and Feeling Right on Time38:00 What’s Gotta Go: Sexist Remarks in Politics38:49 Gotta Get: Getting Hooked on Fairy Porn------Supported by Solutions for Climate AustraliaLINKSMicrofeminism Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/p/DZBxYsIqSXU/Data Centre Water Pollution: https://www.tiktok.com/@cnn/video/7642484173759941901You need to have more silly parties:https://www.instagram.com/reels/DXp0Fscj8Ky/China underwater data centre solution:https://www.instagram.com/reels/DY2OlQKKMiT/Mega Data Centres in Australia:https://7ampodcast.com.au/episodes/mega-data-centres-in-bed-with-big-gas-how-fossil-fuels-are-powering-the-ai-boom

The Gas Rip-Off, Sharenting and a Bachelor's Handbag

One of us binge-watched the Kylie doc “for research”.We’ve realised teenagers are now casually doing things that make our entire adolescence look like a long nap.One of us got styling advice that instantly explained every chaotic wardrobe purchase we’ve ever made.We got budgety again, and yes, the gas rant returned (with fresh rage). We also started rethinking what we share about our kids online, and it got dark quickly. We tried not to gag over a new viral hack that shouldn’t exist. We covered a lot of ground this week, but now we’ve Gotta Go.CHAPTER MARKERS:00:00 Intro00:31 Kylie Doc and Cancer Moment02:04 Overachieving Teens Spotlight05:42 Stylist Tip08:29 Sister Wardrobe Wars11:34 Budget Talk and Tax Outrage16:35 Gas Tax Update and What $40B Buys20:46 Cost of Living Outrage22:20 Sharenting Explained23:21 AI Deepfake Dangers25:39 Privacy Rules for Parents26:54 Kids Can't Consent30:35 Rotisserie Chicken Hack32:56 Parent-Friendly Services33:45 Prams and Car Parks--------Supported by Solutions for Climate AustraliaLINKSBianca Adler:https://www.abc.net.au/news/2026-05-20/bianca-adler-becomes-youngest-australian-to-summit-everest/106699918Rose Donald:https://www.news.com.au/travel/travel-updates/travel-stories/aussie-teen-pilot-rose-donald-to-break-world-record-while-raising-more-than-70k-for-charity/news-story/1f2345d723f4d1ab0dde77a1931ab29bRose Donald’s Fundraising Campaign for Little Wings:https://www.littlewings.org.au/pilot-rose-girls-can-fly-fundraising-mission/Spencer - Save Sunrise Glossieshttps://www.instagram.com/savesunriseglossies/reels/?__d=1%3Futm_source%3Dig_embedSharenting:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4QL1FmBaof8Chicken Bag Hack:https://www.facebook.com/share/r/18mjXT5whc/Join us:Instagram: @gotta.go.podTikTok: @gotta.go.pod

Lamb Sandwich Blackouts, Climate Grief and Sleep Schedules

One of us had to apologise for being aggressively helpful The other one’s baby brain fully clocked off mid-meeting… and came back 15 minutes later with a lamb sandwich and zero awareness we were still on the call. One of us went back to her favourite beach and got hit with climate grief that made it all too realWe had a side quest into electrifying your house, green loans, and why “carbon footprint” might’ve been a corporate PR trap.We also had a moment about how nobody prepares you for the relationship whiplash after having a baby.We covered a lot of ground this week, but now we’ve Gotta Go.—CHAPTER MARKERS:00:00 Sisterly Apology00:37 Sleep Schedule Debate03:25 Baby Brain Moments05:25 Airport Security Chaos09:55 Climate Grief Hits Home15:03 Electrify Your Home16:53 Hopeful Climate Wins18:38 Mamdani Wins Early22:20 Communicating Like A Pro23:18 Scone Gate Returns25:26 Money Mindset Origins28:39 Motherhood And Relationships32:39 What's Gotta Go------Supported by Solutions for Climate AustraliaLINKSClimate Anxiety ResourceEnergy Loan SchemeBeach Erosion StoryGold Coast Extreme ErosionMamdani - Fixing the PotholesMamdani - InstagramNew York Child Care CostsJoin us:Instagram: @gotta.go.podTikTok: @gotta.go.podFacebook: TBC!YouTube: (for pod platform only) @gotta.go.podcast

Trad Wife Confusion, Budget Week Whinge and Michael Jackson Ick

One of us was today years old when she realised the Michelin Guide was actually invented by the tyre companyThe other one casually interviewed a world leader and was jealous of their choice in shoes. We got budgety for a minute and agreed housing is cooked, everyone’s whinging, and no one actually wants to be a politician. One of us felt a bit weird about the new Michael Jackson film… because “experience his magic” is a bold tagline when we’re all aware of the allegations. We somehow ended up in a very Australian spiral involving kangaroos under the house, dolphins that are not your spirit animal, and the great tea/scone order debate. We covered a lot of ground this week, but now we’ve Gotta Go.—CHAPTER MARKERS:00:00 Introduction01:15 Interviewing Helen Clark04:43 Australian Budget Week Explained06:41 Women Focused Budget Wins07:46 Housing Market Reality Check13:36 Tax Gas And EV Gaps16:26 Michael Jackson Movie Debate22:46 Flipper Set Horror24:18 Period Shame to Pride26:25 Living With Endometriosis28:47 Tea Making Rules30:51 The Best Way To Eat Scones31:43 Pod Mail Craft Night35:09 Postpartum Body Image37:37 Comfort Over Heels38:19 Signing Off to Feed Baby------Supported by Solutions for Climate AustraliaLINKSBudget: https://budget.gov.au/Unwind Co: https://www.unwindco.com.au/Join us:Instagram: @gotta.go.podTikTok: @gotta.go.podFacebook: TBC!YouTube: (for pod platform only) @gotta.go.podcast

Briony: Circus Tiger Rescue, Stage Four Plot Twist and Finding The Joy

Briony is the main event on the podcast this week and the joy is apparent. But because life loves a plot twist, there are also some truly awful bits. From growing up in a vet practice where her Dad was basically a superhero (including rescuing a literal Bengal tiger at 2am).To over-annunciating her words wherever possible, because proper diction is important. She landed her dream job and produced viral videos clocking millions of views for a living (what a flex). Then Briony got the worst news imaginable and had to endure a cancer diagnosis that no one was prepared for. Spoiler alert, she survives. But the “after” hits hard too: chronic fatigue that feels like it will never lift. Until she finds a life-altering process that sounds too good to be true and somehow gives her life (and joy) back. There’s more here than we can tell you in a few sentences, so press play because we’ve Gotta Go.—CHAPTER MARKERS:00:00 Introduction03:18 Snake in the Car04:37 Circus Tiger Callout07:52 Gap Year and Uni Pivot08:59 Climate Stories on Film10:45 Sydney Work Burnout12:16 Domestic Violence Doc15:51 Mamamia Breakthrough19:10 Symptoms and Diagnosis22:21 Stage Four Diagnosis22:57 Denial And Next Steps28:25 Remission And New Perspective31:15 Chronic Fatigue After Cancer34:54 Lightning Process Breakthrough38:08 Meeting Byron And Love40:43 Purpose Climate And Gratitude------Supported by Solutions for Climate AustraliaLINKSGap Year: https://youtu.be/eKFjWR7X5dU?si=DulKlJzciUxRgsP9Briony’s Video Reel: https://brionybenjamin.com/videos/Big Bad Love - DocumentaryHeels No HeelsIf A Man Lived Like A Woman For A DaySexiest Man In The WorldThe Lightning Process: https://lightningprocess.com/Dr Phil Parker: https://www.youtube.com/@DrPhilParkerBriony’s BookLife is Tough But So Are You:https://brionybenjamin.com/book/Leukamia Foundation: https://www.leukaemia.org.au/Join us:Instagram: @gotta.go.podTikTok: @gotta.go.podFacebook: TBC!YouTube: (for pod platform only) @gotta.go.podcast

Molly: Psycho Goat Survivor, Trendsetter and Crying Over Jam

It’s all about Molly this week and frankly, it’s about time. This will probably be Molly’s favourite episode.A couple of teasers for you:Molly was hopeless with a refedex and outsourced her navigation needs. She’s been planning outfits and setting trends since she was 18 months old and is still waiting for her Hollywood breakthrough. She had dreams of being an adorable goat owner, but her reality was a psycho goat who tried to kill her daily. Her entrepreneurial spirit started young with a travelling massage parlour and Game Boy upsells (weird combo, but her market lapped it up).It was a great time taking a trip down memory lane, but now we’ve Gotta Go.—CHAPTER MARKERS:00:00 Meet Molly Benjamin00:49 Growing Up A Twin01:48 Kid Personality Style03:21 Pet Goat Chaos04:35 Life In Vet Practice05:57 Pulled From School Travel07:23 Early Hustles Game Boy08:47 Gap Year Scotland Uni09:49 Treehouse Show Era12:01 Cutting Off Bad Debt12:21 Bank Job Reality Check12:50 London Move And Goals13:46 Money Gap Wake Up Call15:10 Supermarket Rock Bottom16:01 Starting A Money Club17:55 Building Wealth For Real18:51 Startup Stress And Anxiety20:21 Sisterhood Through Hard Times22:06 Crashing Dates And Wingwoman------Supported by Solutions for Climate AustraliaJoin us:Instagram: @gotta.go.podTikTok: @gotta.go.podFacebook: TBC!YouTube: (for pod platform only) @gotta.go.podcast

Single Sisters Betrayal, Home Battery Flexing and Press Stud Rage

One of us had a sudden, humbling realisation this week… and it involved babies, friendship, and a very overdue apology. The other one had a few thoughts about what new parents actually need from you (hint: it’s not another tiny outfit with 400 press stud buttons). One of us is still grieving a certain era we were meant to have… which was rudely sabotaged by the other.Briony pointed out that Aussies will renounce their stance on renewables if there are rebates up for grabs.Molly appreciated the ego boost when AI thought she was Reese Witherspoon. We time-travelled back to our trip to China, where we nearly got trafficked or cast in a powdered milk ad…the details are still unclear. We covered a lot of ground this week, but now we’ve Gotta Go.CHAPTER MARKERS:00:00 Introduction00:50 New baby etiquette what to actually do for new parents04:20 Sister era sabotage moving in with a boyfriend and third wheeling07:25 Reese Witherspoon backlash11:15 Home battery and solar rebate in Australia14:05 Electric vehicles Australia, hoons on the highway and BYD vs Tesla15:30 China renewables and energy security18:20 Backpacking China story22:14 Gotta Go------Supported by Solutions for Climate AustraliaLINKS:Book:Dinner Ladies:https://www.dinnerladies.com.au/Instagram - EV Saleshttps://www.instagram.com/p/DW1BAvCjPvv/Instagram - new BYDhttps://www.instagram.com/p/DXEp1ySj0dA/Matter of National Security:https://www.abc.net.au/news/2026-03-24/fuel-security-exposed-by-iran-war-but-renewables-offer-an-out/106452696“In every way that we can, we should be reducing our dependence on fossil fuels … whether it’s changing the transport system for the delivery of goods, food and services around Australia to electrified railway systems. Drive Through Everything, Free Money Apps and Pumpkin Pollination

One of us turned 40 this week… and had big feelings about what a privilege it is.The other one is still in newborn land, where time isn’t real, and sleep is a rumour.Molly is campaigning for drive-through everything, because getting eggs shouldn’t require a full logistical plan.We shared a celebrity encounter from the archives that still makes us cringe-laugh, and Briony used an accent Molly will never let her forget.Briony proved that, even though she’s terrible at accents, she has a lot of useful information about the current state of the world and why we shouldn’t be cooking with gas.Briony also had a bit of a sex education lesson, but not in the way you’d expect.Molly wants millions of men castrated…well, not really. Anne Geddes Vibes, Taco Structural Integrity, and a Five-Minute Childcare Fix

One of us discovered that a cute outfit can genuinely improve your mood (science says yes, and so do strangers who suddenly start complimenting you in the supermarket). The other one has started carrying watercolours everywhere and whipping them out at random intervals. One of us did an outrageously extra newborn photoshoot. Shout out to Anne Geddes (IYKYK)Scheduling joy is saving us from the monotonous existence that is parenting young children. We’ve got a list of good news stories to cleanse your doom-scrolling soul. Pandas are involved. One of us goes on a warranted and passionate rant about beer drinkers and why they’re paying more tax than the gas industry. We both casually fixed childcare in about five minutes. A Hunky Celebrity, A Tiny Reptile and An Accidental Social Media Fire

One of us had a close encounter with a very hunky celebrity this week. The other one had a close encounter with a tiny reptile. One of us got the short end of that stick.A few other things happened, which we absolutely had to discuss:Briony started a small social media fire accidentally offending true blue Aussie blokes.Molly yelled at reckless youths on bikes (as is her civic duty).Briony is quite partial to a good ol’ fashion scam and is eager to give all her money away to Australian Post, or perhaps a Nigerian Prince.Molly gave some (not financial advice) about the stock market and how to manage your money in a time where funds might be tighter than usual. Ahem, thanks President Trump. We both realised that we’re Boomers trapped in Millenial bodies (not that there’s anything wrong with that). And we both ate the most delicious chicken burrito thanks to Chat GPT.As sisters with three babies between us, we never have enough time to catch up, but we’re pretty pleased with the ground we covered today.Gotta Go now, see you next week!------Supported by Solutions for Climate AustraliaJoin UsInstagram: @gotta.go.podTikTok: @gotta.go.pod
