Halifax Community College is proud to announce its upcoming Progressive Community Awards Ceremony, which will take place on Thursday, April 6, 2023, at 6:00 PM, in Dr. Ervin V. Griffin, Sr. Centre, located on HCC’s campus. The Progressive Community Awards recognizes individuals, organizations, and businesses in the Roanoke Valley that have made significant contributions to the betterment of the community. Awards will be presented in three categories: Community Bridge Builder, Faith in Action, and Youth Impact. Join HCC in celebrating the people who make the Roanoke Valley a great place to live and work. Mark your calendar and join us on April 6 at 6 pm in the Dr. Ervin V. Griffin Sr. Centre.

Episode 4: Admissions/Enrollment Process
This episode talks about how to get started at HCC. Here are the steps to be admitted and enrolled. 1. Please take the career assessment at: www.bit.ly/hcc_careercoach (Click "Sign Up" in the upper right hand corner before completing the assesment to save your results) 2. Apply for RDS at www.ncresidency.org ( This will dem you IN-State or OUT of State for tuition purposes, please make sure you write down your 10 digit RCN (Residency Certification Number) and the expiration date. Your RCN is needed to complete the CFNC application. 3. Apply for admissions at www.cfnc.org or select the (www.halifaxcc.edu) link on the checklist card. It will take you to the cfnc website to fill out the online application. 4. Apply for financial aid at www.fafsa.edu.gov ( If you are planning on receiving assistance with paying for your class, it should take 3-5 days for it to be received on our campus) If you decide that you will be paying out of pocket you do not have to go through this process. 5. Submit a copy of your signed social security card 6. Submit an official high school transcript or GED/HiSett diploma with scores and, if applicable, official college transcript(s) 7.
