In this episode, Calla and Jenny talk to Joe and Penny Nokes, long time high school leaders at Covenant Family Conference at Mission Springs. For nearly 20 years, Joe and Penny served the families of Mission Springs by ministering to the youth and helping to plan a musical with them. In this episode, Jenny speaks with Alison Holmlund and Kristin Liner, lifelong friends who credit Mission Springs with creating and forming their friendship for the past 50 years. Even though they have lived and worked in different locations—Alison in the tech industry in California and Kristin in the medical field in Texas as a nurse—their bond has remained as strong as their love for the camp that made it happen. Hej Ladies! Episode 04—Donna and Dean Erickson
For this episode, Calla and Jenny talk to Donna and Dean Erickson. Donna is originally from the Sacramento area and grew up coming to Mission Springs with her family. She later settled in Minnesota, where she and Dean raised their family and Donna served as the executive producer and host of the award-winning cooking and crafting TV series Donna’s Day and wrote a weekly syndicated column. Despite the distance between Minnesota and California, she often returned for summers at Mission Springs. Now she and Dean are part of the Mission Springs leaseholder community after purchasing a cabin of their own.The ladies also spend a little time speaking about Mission Springs trees with Emerson Cobbley, currently a naturalist with the Outdoor Education program.

Hej Ladies! Episode 03—Ryan Klint
In this episode, we talk to Ryan Klint who has a lifetime of experiences at Mission Springs—visiting his maternal and fraternal grandparents, working at the flat and Frontier Ranch, and bringing his kids to enjoy summers at camp. At present, Ryan, and his wife Isabel, are working as Wycliffe Bible translators in Mexico translating the New Testament into an indigenous Mexican language alongside indigenous language speakers.

Hej Ladies! Episode 02—Ron and Kathy Berggren
Few couples are as connected to Mission Springs as Ron and Kathy Berggren. Both of them grew up spending their summers at Mission Springs—Ron’s family has enjoyed their cabin since 1931 and Kathy spent her summers at the trailer park until her dad built a family home up the hill in 1980. Both their parents and grandparents were a part of Mission Springs for many years. Then, at one fateful 4th of July service at Cathedral Grove in 1990, Ron and Kathy met each other, went on a few dates, and later were married in the Worship Center the following summer. Both their daughters have enjoyed camps, the pool, parades, and friends since they were little and are now starting to bring their own little ones to keep the memories going at our “happiest place on earth.”If you have questions or comments about the episode, please contact us at [email protected].
