Checkpoint: Turn your eyes to God
Send us Fan MailI was having a conversation with Aaron Sajan about the way God works in our lives. I was fascinated with his apparent peace of mind and clarity in how God communicates to us. I asked if he would come on to my podcast and record some of these reflections and this episode was the result.Aaron Sajan is a 21 year old civil engineer that has recently joined the MGL brothers from Melbourne and has a huge heart for young adult ministry. He has been deeply involved with the Jesus Youth movement for the past four years through leading weekly young adult prayer meetings and various retreats. He has extensive experience delivering talks and often leads worship for both teens and young adult programs. He has a special passion for the Eucharist, Discipleship, challenging young people to respond to God’s call and the need for a conversion of heart. At Hill to Thrive On, we discuss a whole range of topics from relationships, mental health, exercise, politics, the environment, money and even spiritual warfareHill to Thrive On is a show about growing from life's challenges by shining a light, and approaching and growing stronger from our struggles one step at a time. This includes the challenge of dialoging with people from all walks of life. Even those way may disagree with. After all, Jesus dines with Sinners and all manner of marginalised people, while at the same time being abrupt and challinging to his best friends and people in positions of power.

Healing memories
Send us Fan MailHealing painful memories of those who have hurt us is not about letting them off the hook, but about letting ourselves off the hook. Holding on to a grudge can be likened to drinking a cup of poison expecting the other person to get sick. I found a means of healing memories and letting go of the pains of past hurts. It is not easy. You need to go places of discomfort, going in to the pain to find the way to move forward from it. But the rewards are profound as the load lightens and you free yourself of the burdens.Come with me as I journey with Fr Tony Shick on toward the road of freedom from the burden of past wounds.Music supplied by Fr Chris Eaton MGL and can be found at https://open.spotify.com/artist/2VdpVnqtYhSspbfP6MMN21?si=RHR6KsVLQsy2xWSUAqTasgAt Hill to Thrive On, we discuss a whole range of topics from relationships, mental health, exercise, politics, the environment, money and even spiritual warfareHill to Thrive On is a show about growing from life's challenges by shining a light, and approaching and growing stronger from our struggles one step at a time.
