We got a real special one for you this time, folks. Not only did we recap the Oscars, the Dune 3 trailer, & do a Rylan Gosling Movie Draft, but we were blessed with the presence of a Holy Flick Founding Father: THE Paul Patrick. Paul stopped by to give his review of the new Project Hail Mary film, starring Gosling, days before the nationwide release of the blockbuster. He also decided to join in on the fun by participating in our movie games & other topics for the pod. This one's truly a generational episode for Holy Flick. In this super short episode, Holy Flick announces its Oscars Challenge via ESPN Fantasy which is open for all to join in on the fun! I also go over the overall box office performance for 2026 thus far, comparing to other years in the post-pandemic era, & give an update for the ongoing fight for Warner Brothers. After months of back & forth, WB is now no longer moving forward with Netflix & is siding with Paramount's hostile bid. Finally, I wrapped up by briefly giving a no spoiler discussion of the new Peaky Blinders film, The Immortal Man. In our second episode of 2026, Seth & I list off our Most Anticipated Movies of the year & what we think will do best at the box office. After playing our movie games, we then did a Christopher Nolan Movie Draft (!!!) followed by our recently watched, when we heavily review A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms. In our first episode of 2026, Seth & I list our top movies of last year, go through the major categories for this year's Oscars and who we think will win each award (spoiler alert: One Battle After Another is about to sweep), and do our regular movie games. Seth had one of the best blind rankings to date & stabbed me in the back on my list & I had an all-time run in our Higher/Lower game. We probably touched on at least 50+ movies/shows in total so there should be no shortage in what to check out for yourself. Came in with a new game in Movie Draft, where we drafted our 5 favorite Brad Pitt films. Seth reviewed the three films he saw this past Sunday in Caught Stealing, The Roses, & Honey Don't. Canon breaks down the news from the last couple weeks, as well as the Labor Day box office weekend. Another fun outing for you guys!!

Seth & I recorded this last Saturday (I totally forgot to publish this) so we reviewed the Friday Box Office and talked weekend box office for the new Jurassic Park.
