Ted keeps stealing all of Marvins first moments from Marshall and Lily. Robin tries to seduce Barney.

Marshall recaps the most ridiculous (but thanks to Brad, hilarious) court case to the Judicial Panel that's evaluating him to be a Judge. The gang argues over who was the biggest bad-ass in high school. Barney closes the door on the possibility of romance with Robin.

Ted is called out as having no original Stamp of Approval takes. Robin helps Barney hunt for a new strip club, agent style. Brad is back and needs a job, Marshall mistakenly gives his stamp.

We reach the last breakup in the Autumn of...Barney pushes Robin along in dissolving the Nick relationship. Ted and Marshal are on seperate basketball teams in with distinct challenges. Lily's living in a vicarious sexual fantasy world after having the baby.

As the breakups continue, Victoria leaves the show after an ultimatum to Ted. Barney is so desperate for a wing-man he turns to the canine pursuasion. We learn more about Nick, although the title warns us he won't be around long.

Now that Lily and Marshall have a Nanny, they leave the house to enjoy the city just to realize it's a crazy deathtrap. To figure out which of their friends should be godparent to little Marvin (lets face it, it should just be Ted), they host a gameshow to find the best fit.

While Marshall and Lily struggle to find an affordable Nanny, Barney grabs their best option from under their noses and Ted/Robin compete over who has the best relationship.

Artillary Arthur convinces Barney he needs a pre-nup to protect himself in his upcoming marriage. This sets off a domino effect that fractures all of the relationships in the show but only one ends in a break-up. We also get to meet Tug Boat.

We resume with Ted and Victoria's escape from her wedding whereby they clash over the necesity of leaving a note. Quinn finds out about Barney and Robin's past because Marshall and Lily's lack of sleep have rendered them zombies. We meet Robin's new boyfriend with rock hard abs.

Barney stages an elaborate airport magic trick to propose to Quinn; Ted reconnects with Victoria on her wedding day; Marshall and Lily struggle with the exhaustion of being new parents while Robin tries to capture a nice family photo.

Lily goes into labor while Barney tries to guide Marshall on a drunken journey home from Atlantic City. Ted and Robin retell old stories from the writers cutting room floor to distract Lily from her pain. Marvin is born.

Ted tries online dating but keeps running into imaginary Robin. Barney takes Marshall to Atlantic City to get him out of Lily's hair for a weekend.

Barney wants to make every night legendary. Robin wants notoriety. Marshall wants to know who Lily is having sex dreams about.

The men of the show plot out their lives and future expectations in three year cycles to align with rewatching Episodes 4-7 of Star Wards.

In a clever ruse, Barney and Quinn set up the gang to believe they've ruined their relationship. Robin and Ted squable over Quinns apartment and Marshall retells ill advised sex stories about him and Lily.

Barney has the tables turned on him when he decides to court Quinn/Karma and gets gaslighted and his pockets emptied. Robin becomes more captor than guest while staying with Marshall and Lily in Long Island.

Ted puts his heart on the line again for Robin but will ultimately have to move on. Barney discovers Lily and Marshall's hobby of long-term bets for and against the group.

Barney and Ted uncover a new venue for picking up women even though Barney may have found love already (aka we meet Quinn). The couples go on a trip to Vermont where Kevin proposes to Robin, requiring her to reveal her inability and disinterest in having children.

The entire episode takes place on Long Island at the new Erikson home where Barney plays with fire, Coots catches on fire and Robin tries to turn the fire down on her temper.

Without Marshall and Lily in the city anymore, the Manhattan gang find temporary, scary replacements. Lily and Marshall struggle with the intricacies of their new house with bizarre assistnance from Mickey who has worn out his welcome.

At his father's gravesite, Marshall recaps adventures of NYE, where Lily informs Mickey about being pregnant, Ted and Barney open Puzzles in Ted's apartment and Robin gets an on-air position thanks to another Sandy mishap.

Robin's journey through learning she can't have children, told to her fictional future children. Marshall's journey through getting pranked by kids in his new neighborhood.

Lily and Marshall decide they want to keep the Long Island home and move in, Robin decides to #Resist. Barney and Ted contemplate starting a family together.

Barney and Robin deal with the aftermath of their night of deceipt on a boat with the deceived. Ted and Marshall deal with life ticking away as they navigate a weed induced evening at a concert.

A sign outside of McClarrens has the group retelling the story of a hurricane that hit NYC and how the group reacted. Barney tries to shed his Ducky Tie.

Well obviously, the slutty pumpkin returns, in the form of Katie Holmes with all her charm. Lily has pregnancy brain and wants to take her grandparents house in the suburbs as a gift. Barney is horrified to find out he's 1/4 Canadian, in which Robin revels.

All cast members start seeing their parents in their significant other.....quite literally. Ted needs a companion for a Wierd Al concert. Barney tries overcoming many obstacles to have his first shag with Nora.

Ted wants to go on a date without any internet background research. Marshall and Lily want to go into a delivery without any gender knowledge. Both get disrupted by Barney.

Marshall pushed his boss (Martin Short) to fight harder for their cause. Robin and Kevin (Kal Penn) move from therapy to dating. Ted has a disastrous field trip experience with his class. Barney mistakes Nora for being too old for his tastes. All bad story lines, but none as bad as Lily's insistance that everyone has to speak with an air of positivity around her because she's pregnant.

Robin tells a therapist how the blossoming Barney/Nora relationship drove her to assault a stranger as Ted inserts himself into Marshall and Lily's pregnancy.

Barney bets Marshall and Lily that he can pull off all the fancy Hibachi Restaurant moves in exchange for a look and touch of Lily's goodies. Ted recaps his evening with Victoria.

Marshall tries to get an explicit video of him on the Internet removed so his potential employer does not find it, we also learn about Edward 40 Hands; Ted tries to decide whom to take to a ball, with a very special return appearance; Barney continues trying to court Nora.

The whole gang heads to Cleveland for Punchy's wedding where the crowd eagerly anticipates Ted's emotional toast. Lily tries to keep her pregnancy a secret and Robin wonders if she's really done with Barney.

Barney and Ted battle to push the button to blow up the Arcadian; Barney and Robin battle against Ted reuniting with Zoey; Marshall battles against and anticipated stomach poisoning and we get some good dramatic news at the end.

The gang are all involved in the same story, whereby Barney convinces Ted and Marshall to back GNB in the Arcadian battle which ultimately ends Ted and Zoey's relationship.

As Marshall decides to join the "Save the Arcadian" movement as their lawyer, the gang starts to fall apart. The ladies try to mend fences between Barney and Marshall by serving them specific beverages to alter their moods. Ted forces Zoey to stay the night at the Arcadian to dampen her enthusiasm, where they meet the Cockamouse and his/her family.

Barney takes his dad, Jerry, out on the town with his friends and the new personalities he assigns them. Robin runs into an old crush at a bar, leading us to the origin story of the Red Cowboy Boots.

Marshall quits his GNB job to intern for the NRDC with Lily's full and eventually waning support. Ted and Zoey show no support on anything. Barney plays the long-con to get revenge on Marshall. Robin introduces the concept of graduation goggles.

We finally meet Barney's real dad who ends up a disappointment to Barney both in style and absenteeism. We learn that everyone in the gang has a major blindspot in their knowledge and skills.

After Marvin's heart attack, everyone's worried about the health of their heart. Barney's worried that he has one as he navigates his feelings for Nora. Robin dates a dog in human form.

Ted is faced with the possibility that he's the bad guy in the story of him and Zoey after spending time with the Captain. Barney wrestles with his feelings for Nora. Marshall won't throw one at Lily until he solves the world pollution crisis.

Ted hesitantly moves forward into a relationship with Zoey. Marshall regresses into a helpless child in Minnesota. Barney tries to score with desperate women the night before Valentines Day, but instead ends up falling for Robin's workfriend Nora. Oh, and we meet Nora for the first time.

A story surrounding a Katie Perry cameo has the gang playing telephone to catch Marshall (in MN) up on Ted's suddenly convenient feelings for Zoey.

In a very special HIMYM, we attend Marvin Eriksen's funeral and watch Marshall struggle to discover his father's last words and whether they were suitable. The rest of the gang supports him in their own way.

A two-hander whereby Marshall and Lily are dealing with potential infertility and Barny doppelgänger; Ted is helping Robin deal with Sandy problems at her new job. And of course, the worst news and most emotional moment in the entire series.

Everyone's life goal changes with the alternating news about the Erikson's maternity status.....except Ted who is too occupied making a christmas themed movie snack and crushing the details of Punchy's wedding plans.

Tune in to hear Steve and Jen debate whether this episode is horrible or just ok. Ted considers his feelings for Zoey as The Captain acts very murdery. Marshall and Robin go out to dinner to give their characters something to do. Ted has trouble recapping the Barney and Lily story. And of course there's a Mermaid Theory.

The Curse of the Blitz is passed from character to character as the gang tries to carry out Ted's Thanksgiving, with interference from Zoey.

It's Robin Sparkles III Ya'lllllllll!!!! Barney unearths and shares an old Canadian kids show Robin starred in. Lily learns Robin had a best friend from those years with whom she grew apart when the friend had a baby. Now that Lily won't stop droning on about trying to have a baby, her friendship is strained with Robin and she fears the worst. And finally, Punchy in Times Square!!!!!

A night of contests: Ted versus Zoey regarding the new GNB building, College Marshall versus Corporate Marshall in Lily's most annoying turn, Barney versus Robin in Museum hi-jinx. We also meet The Captain for the first time and Barney finds out the real identity of his father.
