HSS UK Slough Fundraising Walk

On behalf of the Slough and Maidenhead centres of Hindu Swayamsevak Sangh UK (HSS UK), I would like to have Asian Start on board with us on our annual fundraising event on Sunday 26th April 2026 from 9.30am to 2.00pm. This year our families, friends and the wider community will participate in a Walkathon to raise money for Alzheimers Dementia Support (www.adscharity.com), a local charity which provides invaluable support to people with dementia, their carers and families in Slough and Langley as well as Windsor, Maidenhead and Ascot. Participants of all ages will gather at Upton Court Park for a walk, followed by a picnic and games. Hindu Swayamsevak Sangh (UK) (Registered Charity 1202635) is a nationwide socio-cultural organization with over 118 centres across 65 towns and cities. We organise regular weekly activities locally for the whole family, including sports, yoga, health and fitness, as well as arts, cultural and educational talks and discussions.   A key aspect of our work is Sewa, (doing selfless service for others) where we encourage volunteering and working on community engagement programmes or service projects that benefit the local communities where we live. Last year, in 2025, the Slough and Maidenhead centres of HSS Sewa (part of HSS UK) worked together to raise a considerable amount of money for Slough Outreach. In previous years, we combined our skills and efforts to fundraise for The Baby Bank (Berkshire),The Thames Valley Adventure Playground in Taplow and The Samaritans of Slough, Windsor and Maidenhead.  We would very much welcome your support and participation in our fundraising walk on Sunday 26th April 2026 and look forward to seeing this event getting covered.
