OpenUpon is a web 2.0 site that is under development by Andy May and Phil Carbone. The site has a focus on geographic data. Being a web 2.0 site, it is being designed so that the community will drive the data of the site. Examples of data the site will contain: mapping out a road trip, to getting local crime information, geo-twitter, looking at Wikipedia, YouTube, MySpace, and Flickr entries by geography (or any other social networking sites). The design is going to focus on easy powerful and dynamic searching with a focus on geo and time. Time is a major fallback of many search engines, we hope to overcome that.
