Human Security in Practice

The evolving concepts of human security, civilian protection, community safety, and citizen security are taking shape in various contexts. Panelists will describe how the United Nations, the U.S. government and civil society organizations (CSOs) are operationalizing the term in diverse contexts. The panel will also compare and contrast the different terminology examining common ground and principles of human security shared across different approaches.
