    Men’s Mental Health Month

In this episode, we dive into the complexities of men’s mental health exploring what it means to create space for vulnerability and emotional expression, while also acknowledging how the perpetuation of toxic masculinity fuels a broader culture of violence, misogyny, and emotional suppression. We discuss how these systems harm everyone, including men themselves, and why healing must go hand-in-hand with accountability. This conversation challenges the idea that vulnerability and masculinity are at odds and calls on men to not only seek support, but to actively work to dismantle the systems that keep everyone oppressed. Check out some additional resources regarding men's mental health here. And remember, if you are experiencing a mental health crisis please call: Maine Crisis Hotline at 1-888-568-1112 or the National Suicide and Crisis Lifeline at 988*

Social Media, Self Diagnosing, and Solidarity

Well listeners, we are back and maybe better than ever?  After some restructuring and re-evaluating, Jordan and Maisy are back in the game and ready to get into it.  While our episodes may be less frequent, our hope is that they'll actually be more consistent.  In this episode, we talk about how social media has created a rise in self diagnosing and the impact that can have on our sense of identity and wellbeing. We also share some insight into how to begin to connect with mental health resources, what to look for in a provider, and how to start to take control of your mental health. Despite going a little off the rails at times, we hope this episode shines a light on how to get the help you need from somewhere other than Tiktok 😬
