There’s a village in North Yorkshire called Black Hollow. Or at least, there used to be. In the summer of 1989, something happened there. A group of children found something they didn’t understand, somewhere they shouldn’t have been, and whatever it was, they left it behind. They grew up. They moved away. They built lives elsewhere. And now, years later, something is calling them back. The Same Deep Water As You is a tabletop role-playing game about memory, fear, and the idea that the past is not finished with you. It’s set in the early 2000s, but everything that matters began in 1989. The tone is slow, psychological horror – rooted in the English countryside, analogue technology, and the unsettling sense that some places don’t let you go.
