The Future (feat. Joie G) [prod. by Rusty Mack]

Although waxing nostalgic can sometimes provide relief while living in the “now,” too much focus on the past can be detrimental. INeedARaze is aware of this, and on his latest single, “The Future,” the Washington Heights-reared emcee is careful to dip into days bygone, chipping away at past mistakes in order not to repeat them. As with his previous release, “Silent Night,” Raze’s latest effort is bathed in cool, jazzy vibes, thanks to some incredible saxophone contributions from Glen Mauser, and go-to producer Rusty Mack’s (of Harry Fraud’s SRFSCL) innate musicianship, coupled with songbird Joie G who provides the song’s hook — giving the new single a sense of grandiosity. Always the forward observer, a fearless Raze drops slick lines like “Don’t know where I am, it’s too blurry / Know where I wanna be so I’m moving in a hurry / Focused on my target so I ain’t got time to worry,” before the third and final act pushes the song into a melodic paradise. High AF (feat. Jaison Spain) [prod. by Rusty Mack]

On the latest single off his upcoming project, 'Please,' New York artist INeedARaze shares an ode to his favorite pastime and, more importantly, his favorite way to cope with all the stress in our modern society.   From its atmospherics produced by Rusty Mack to the stoner chorus, “High AF” may sound proudly, well, high as f*ck—and it is!—but it’s also an introspective piece that dives into Raze’s mental state. In between the clever wordplay and punchlines, he reveals his motivations and need to light up because for him, there’s no place he feels more at home.   And whereas preceding single “Raze the Stakes” was a murderous showcase of the emcee’s pure rapping talents, the Washington Heights native is back on his songwriting tip with “High AF.” The track is a blunted exploration of what makes Raze tick and, of course, his love for marijuana, but it’s driven by melody and focused song structure. It also features strong guest vocals from fellow New Yorker Jaison Spain, who hits all the right notes while embracing the sticky icky on the chorus.   Give the track a spin, and head over to HYPEDDIT for the free .mp3 download. Raze the Stakes (prod. by Rusty Mack)

“Raze The Stakes” is the latest banger to come from bubbling New York rapper INeedARaze, who’s going right for the throat of anyone doubting his talents on the mic. This track represents the latest in his unceasing stream of creativity this year, and it’s an impressive turn from the artist who recently has dropped more melodic mood music.   Whereas preceding singles “Right Thru U” and “Double Dutch” had hooks you could easily sing along to, “Raze The Stakes” ditches typical song structures to showcase Raze’s pure rhyming talents over frequent collaborator Rusty Mack’s gloomy instrumental. And even though we’re not entirely sure what or who inspired this flurry of sh*t-talking, we’d also like to thank them whatever the hell put that fire in his belly.   These are some of the hardest bars we’ve heard from Raze in a minute, though he never goes full aggro. Instead, we’re listening to an emcee who knows how to blend fury with funny, spitting quote-worthy bars including, “Your girl want a plumber, you a handyman (jerk off)/ I turn that sweet potato into candied yams”; and “I could eat a peach like Nicolas Cage.” If you’re unfamiliar with the latter reference, maybe you need to watch Face/Off again.   The release of “Raze The Stakes” also coincides with the announcement that the New Yorker is compiling his tracks onto a playlist, Please, that’ll be here in the next few months. But before then, you can keep this joint—and his other recent leaks, for that matter—on repeat to better acquaint yourself with this rising artist.   Give the track a spin, and head over to HYPEDDIT for the free .mp3 download. Right Thru U (feat. Rob Johnson) [prod. by Rusty Mack]

Inspiration keeps striking New York artist INeedARaze, whose past few months have been filled with crazy-consistent single drops such as “Double Dutch” and “Belly of the Beast.” And that trend continues going strong today with the release of his latest banger, “Right Thru U,” featuring singer Rob Johnson and production from go-to collaborator Rusty Mack (of Harry Fraud’s SRFSCHL). Just as he’s shown with his previous singles, INeedARaze remains on fire with his wordplay and creative lyrical content (“Clear as a crystal/ I’m breaking bad) on “Right Thru U.” As the track’s title implies, we’re mostly here to listen to the Washington Heights emcee’s thoughts on seeing through the bullsh*t thrown our way in life. The importance of meditating on this concept almost goes without saying, but it’s absolutely worth reminding one’s self that all is most likely not what it seems. And as we’ve come to expect on the musical tip, “Right Thru U” is a massive success thanks to the work of Rusty Mack. His layering game is especially on point on this track, as he engulfs the skittering percussion with melodic instrumental bits and cues. Likewise, singer Rob Johnson adds depth to the track’s hook, and you’ll have a hard time not singing along once the track fades (“You ain’t foolin’ nobodyyyyy”). “Right Thru U” is now available for stream , and can be download au-gratis, courtesy of HYPEDDIT—enjoy! Double Dutch (prod. by Rusty Mack)

Just in time to celebrate this holy holiday—well, for the stoners amongst us, anyways—Washington Heights, N.Y.’s own Raze shows love to his favorite blunt wrap on his melodic new banger, “Double Dutch.” The 4/20-centric track is another winning collaboration between Raze and his go-to producer, Rusty Mack of Harry Fraud’s acclaimed SRFSCHL crew. With Mack’s lively and layered instrumental as his canvas, the New York rapper pays tribute to more than just the wraps he’ll be using all day (though there’s plenty of that, too). Raze doubles down on damn near everything within reach, from the women he attempts to bring home to his crib, to all the out-of-state weed he can possibly consume. As he says in the first verse, “Two at one time like I’m losin’ my mind/ Two at one time/ Two at one time/ One in each hand like they’re made to be mine.” As for what exactly he’s doubling down on at that point, that’s for Raze to know (hint: double meanings abound here) and you to figure out.
