Anju Bobby George - A Broad Jump Athlete
In 2003, Anju Bobby George competed at the World Athletics Championship. She jumped a distance of 6.70 meters (21 feet), which earned her a bronze medal. Marie Tharp - A Geologist and Oceanologist
Marie Tharp worked at Lamond Geological Observatory for 3 decades as a geologist. 1977, she created one of the most detailed maps of the ocean floor. Her map of the Atlantic Ocean let people see the ridges and valleys of the seafloor like never before. Margaret Hamilton - A Software Engineer
Margaret Hamilton was one of the few women who worked at NASA. She created software that recognized errors in the space shuttle's computers and was part of the team that worked to get men to the moon in 1969.
