Hello, I'm Dr. Monica, originally from Kenya but now residing in the USA, where I got married and raised all my children. I I am a Christian and my faith is of my utmost importance in my daily living. I have been in this beautiful country for 27 years. i have raised 3 kids in the USA which has been quite the journey. I'd like to take you through my experience of trying to parent "the African way," which is how I was raised. This approach led to significant friction between my kids and my husband.It became evident that I needed to relearn parenting in the context of the times we live in and the culture we're a part of. My journey has been all about relearning. I've made my fair share of mistakes, but I'm here to share both the highs and lows, as well as how I've navigated the challenges of dealing with social media, electronics, and the social influences that have impacted my kids.Throughout this journey, I've gained insights into our children's
