Having been a futuristic bruitism, atypical composer of electronic music, Jean VOGUET pursuing research into the notions of Acousmatic Geophonies & Heterotopias and has always focused on how his works are presented in each environmental & immersivity context. His work on " sound spaces of otherness ", which means the virtual ecosystem in complex structures (the sound materials created by sound synthesis, not originating from organic sound) generate an initiatory musical wandering - outside of time and outside the border - within the unlimited and temporary dimension. Many of his compositions such as « l’Odyssée », « instants sonores », concerts with aircrafts and tractors, have been induced by his concern with the great myths of humanity and poetic nature of human-beings.In addition to performing in various events of acousmatic music, he has performed in live electronic performances, multimediale events … in numerous festivals and international events.

Critical Zone
LISTEN WITH HEADPHONES in binaural version Critical Zone A permeable sonic heterogeneity Inspired by the concept of the Critical Zone, this geophonodesy interferes with sound masses derived, among other sources, from natural sounds that have been reworked into synthetic sounds. Here, sound flows and processes are treated spatially and temporally as ecosystems anthropically upsert by my compositional choices. Somewhat similar, Critical Zone turns out to be an sound anthropo-stage. This is an acousmatic volumiphonic work. A geophonodesy composed of 662 samples spread across 32 tracks. All of its material is from sound synthesis. ©2026JeanVoguet Licence Creative Commons : CC BY-NC-ND 4.0 Deed

« Oneiroi »
LISTEN WITH HEADPHONES in binaural version « Oneiroi » A oniric sonic chimera The relative heterophonic incoherence of the dreams amazes me every time, « Oneiroi » surfs between abstract iconicities and signifiances in an idiosyncratic succession of fictive sonic mental images. This is an acousmatic (dotriacontaphonic) multichannel work. A volumiphony composed of 352 samples spread over 32 tracks. All its material comes from sound synthesis. ©2025JeanVoguet Licence Creative Commons : CC BY-NC-ND 4.0 Deed

« gê »
« gê » A forgotten land, universal, utopian and resilient. In ancient Greek, gê means earth. In modern times, gê is the origin of the prefix geo-, which is used to make up words referring to the earth. gê represents the two aspects of nature: capable of creating harmonious beauty, but also capable of resurrecting original chaos. The earth as a living being is an intelligent system that regulates itself to allow life to develop. Everywhen chaos occurs, such as the disappearance of the dinosaurs or the imminent and inexorable finitude of humankind … there is negentropy and autopoïesis. In this way, evolution and biological development manage to swim upstream in the thermodynamic current, creating complexity, cohesion, organization, resilience and endurance. Life's rare ability to resist and adapt leads all cycles - like autopoïetic machines - to repeat themselves. Everywhen a biosphere collapses, a new symbiosphere is reborn. My work « gê » is a musical reflection of these considerations : – Its first part, Ante, represents the harmonious beauty of life, but also its complexity, and the finitude of all civilization. – The second part, Suspension, refers to the time needed for any cycle to repeat itself. – In the third part : Return, autopoïetics - as everywhen - asserts its resilience and complexity. « gê » pays homage to the philosophers : – Félix Gattari, who developed the notion of ecosophy in his book Les Trois Écologies (Paris, Éditions Galilée, 1989) – Bernard Stiegler and his concepts of negentropy and the contributive or pollen economy. This is acousmatic volumiphony. A geophonodesy composed of 301 samples spread over 16 tracks. All its material comes from sound synthesis. length : 21'45" released July 25, 2023 ©2023JeanVoguet Licence Creative Commons : CC BY-NC-ND 4.0 Deed

In each station of « l’Odyssée », with his acousmatic geophonies and sonic heterotopias, Jean VOGUET explores fictional exoplanets that could exist in the Universe. An initiatory wander marked by 13 Stations, that define a virtual geophonodesy in space-time. _______________________

« Thèkè »
« Thèkè » A light and short flirting syntony with the subconscious, a set of binaural beats in which they can escape beta waves, and the intense focus of activity of gamma power. The 27 samples in this work all come from material I worked on on the fabulous Akai S1000 sampler in the second half of the 90s. ©2011JeanVoguet Licence Creative Commons : CC BY-NC-ND 4.0 Deed

« Atlantide »
The underwater drift of a part of human memory and its sonic " burial ". « Atlantide » was created in Sardinia (supposed to be Atlantis in Nuraghic times, according to Paolo Valente Poddighe) with dancer Kureha Shinjo at the Festival InterAzioni XX in Assemini in April 2007. Then we performed the final version in Japan (Yonaguni, an Atlantis perfume in japanese style ? Cf. research by Professor Masaaki Kimura) in September 2008 at the AACP Festival in Mishima and the MMAC Festival in Tokyo. ©2007JeanVoguet Licence Creative Commons : CC BY-NC-ND 4.0 Deed
