    Altocumulus Lenticularis

So here we are with Altocumulus Lenticularis and it's probably my favorite piano based piece yet incorporating, or I would like to think, some of the directions that Ludovico Einaudi has brought to his music over his past 3 albums. Not that I am in any way saying I am of that level of talent, I am just taking his lead in what you can do with and too classical piano. Anyhow Altocumulus Lenticularis uses some of my go to instruments: Addictive Keys - Grand and Mk1 Hollywood Strings Platinum - I used vintage mics this time and they are nicely noisy :) Heavyocity Gravity Vocalise Heavyocity Gravity Scoring Guitars Heavyocity DM-307 Heavyocity Urban Beets iZotope Breaktweaker I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. Love to you all

    Salt - Remaster

And another remaster! Well why not, when you learn new things its sometimes necessary to go back and look at tracks that could sound better from a mastering point of view. Nothing musically has changed with the structure of the song but I was getting a bit upset by the compression artifacts when things got going a bit, hence the remaster. The instruments are: Addictive Keys EastWest Hollywood Orchestra iZotope BreakTweaker Its at 110bpm in the key of G# maj Anyhow I hope you like it :) Love

    Intertropical Convergence Zone - Remaster

This track was my second foray into Piano music the other being Salt. I must admit to the original recording of the piano being a bit muddy which was wholly my fault for over compressing and using EQ like an axe! I have done better, as I have been experimenting more :) So this is Piano (Addictive Keys) and from 1:20 there is a Solo Cello (compliments of EastWest) which sounds outrageous! Anyhow I hope you like the more open sound of the piano. Love http://jhsmusicproduction.com/intertropical-convergence-zone-new-track-release-jhs-music-productions/

    Intertropical Convergence Zone

This is my second foray into Piano music the other being Salt, but this time I wanted the Piano to stand out and make its vibrations felt. Backing it up from 1:20 is a Solo Cello compliments of EastWest which sounds outrageous! http://jhsmusicproduction.com/intertropical-convergence-zone-new-track-release-jhs-music-productions/

    No Way

So, to be honest, I have no idea what genre this track fits into so I put it as dance but I would not be shocked if dance fan's took me to task as its not a genre I usually explore. But one needs to grow and explore and try new things so here it is. iZotope BreakTweaker Addictive Keys Evolved Mutations 2 Reactor Were the main instruments used and its 132bpm hope you enjoy it :) My wife describes this as "like being assaulted by an elderly lady with a bag of apples"!

    Salt Remix

So this is a remix but only in the sence of the levels. I was listening to the original mix here on SoundCloud and on certain speakers it seemed to be a bit muddy and almost like there was some very harsh limiting going on here and there, which was not apparent at the mastering stage so could be an artifact of the algorithm used in compression. So hopefuly with a fair wind this will be a better mix for SC. Here are my original comments: I have been quite for a month or so playing with some new toys, EastWest Hollywood Orchestra and iZotope BreakTweaker to name the ones that have needed the most time to get involved with. So I thought I would see what I could do with a bit of Piano, bit of legato and pizzicato stings and a modern beat (at about 1:15 ish) Its at 110bpm in the key of G# maj

    Zombie Lift

There are days when you just want a guitar, bass and some drums. This is for that day.

  8. 7

    Serendipity

I was playing about with a Mk1 electric piano and just found this little chord sequence which worked really well with a fretless bass and ebow. I had another listen to this a few days later and was just overwhelmed by bass so I this is a remix with the bass toned down a little. Enjoy

    Slide

Another update from the past using iZotope Alloy and Ozone this time. Based around a relaxed funk beat and a Andy Summeresq guitar sound the whole track seems to just open up now it's remastered. The bass is a fretless though a Fractal Ampeg setup which gives a lovely warm tone (even though I hate the Bartolini pickups in it! yes yes I know all Bass players hate me now lol). Synth bits are a combo of Reactor and Absynth and are largely unprocessed. At the end are a few bars of Reggae beat just to see if it worked, i'll let you decide. Love as always to you all Here are my original comments: Nice little relaxed guitar groove here with some solid bass backup

    Hangman

Hangman is a great 160bpm rock and roll beat with a retro guitar backing and solid bass line. I had a great time recording this and it was one of those songs I never wanted to finish as I was having so much fun with it. Remastered with iZotope Ozone 25/5/2016

    Drunk Metal Gamers

I was asked for a 20(ish) second piece of music for a well know rock blog for a new series on, can you guess, drunk metal gamers. This seemed to fit the bill but I did put a small homage in at the end to Jimmy Page and Roy Harpers fabulous "Whatever happened to Jugula" hope some of you get it :)

    Dark Side Of The Zimmer

Part of my get it done in 1:30 (ish) collection of music. Bit of a driven ambient track that I hope you enjoy. This is the re-mastered version 25/5/16 using iZotope Ozone which really brings the out the depth of the track.

    Cover Of Darkness

So, once again, I have remastered this with iZotope Ozone 7 (probably the best thing I have ever purchased!). I was never desperately happy with the arpeggios around 1:20 so a bit of tweaking of the old Absynth was in order and I think it makes all the difference. Centered the Bass to make it a bit more punchy and backed of the violins. Here are my original comments: Been messing around with this one for a few weeks and then went back to an old mix which I decided was great, so here you go. Enjoy! Driving Bass line with spooky overtones. Main things used are: Bass via SansAmp Bass DI NI Abysynth 5 NI Action Strings NI Session Strings Heavyocity DM307 BBE Sonic Max UAD Fairchild 670 iZotope Stutter Edit Release date: 7 April 2015 Remastered 26/5/16
