Any major transition, from one self to another, is a challenge for the person making the shift. But for someone who’s changing genders, part of the transition occurs on the outside, and has to involve one’s partner. Lovers and spouses experience a metamorphosis of their own as their orientation and identity shift along with their loved ones. Qathi Hart shares her thoughts as she is transformed alongside her partner.
