Guests behaving badly
Not every guest reads the wedding rulebook, and sometimes the booze speaks louder than common sense. In this show, I explore what to do when guests take the mic uninvited, someone brings an unexpected plus-one, or a friend discovers a little too much joy at the open bar. From rogue speeches to iPad-wielding relatives, this is your calm, clear guide to handling Guests Behaving Badly, with good humour, grace, and maybe a glass of water.Presented by wedding photographer Neale James.

Free drinks at the bar?
Do you really have to pay for everyone's drinks? In this episode, we wade into the bubbly (and occasionally boozy) waters of wedding bar etiquette. Should you go all-in with a free bar, stick to beer and wine, or let guests pay their own way once the fizz runs dry? We talk practicalities, people-pleasing, and what guests actually drink most, plus how to avoid the dreaded shot-fuelled dance floor chaos. It’s your day, your rules… but we’re here to help you bend them with grace.Visit Keep Calm and Get Married at https://www.nealejames.com

What to feed your guests?
It’s a slightly longer podcast this, but it’s probably one of the most important. Here’s some advice on what to feed your wedding guests on your big day for the main meal, or at least some musings from two decades of watching people eat, and the faces they make whilst doing so!Slight disclaimer: venues have their own food and hygiene rules, of course, and some of my advice may not align perfectly with the terms and conditions of your venue’s policy to mealtime/s, but it’s a well-meaning guide with a small g, to what seems to work.

Not another slideshow?
In this episode, we’re stepping into the high-stakes world of wedding speeches and asking the big question: should you ever trust a laptop, a projector, and an HDMI lead on your big day? From painfully long slideshows to sound systems with stage fright, we’ll talk about why audio-visual presentations are a gamble, and what to do if you really must roll those dice. There’s humour, a few cautionary tales, and some practical tips for keeping the speeches heartfelt (and mercifully short).Because the best delivery doesn’t come from a PowerPoint, it comes from your heart.

Table planning
Making a wedding table plan sounds simple, until you try it.In this episode, I tackle the Great Seating Chart Dilemma. Who sits near whom? What about plus-ones, family feuds, and that one wildcard table? With tips, gentle warnings, and a splash of humour (I hope), this is your guide to creating a table plan without losing your mind (or the guest list). Keep calm… and reshuffle the cousins.

How to keep calm
Even the most laid-back couples can find their nerves kicking in on the big day. In this episode, we talk about how to stay calm when emotions run high. From setting yourself up for a relaxed morning, to breathing through the wobbles, and trusting the team you’ve put around you. It's not about performing; it's about being present. Whether you're the one walking down the aisle or waiting at the end of it, this is your friendly reminder: nerves aren’t a sign something’s wrong; they’re often a sign something extraordinary is about to happen. The podcast is produced and presented by Neale James, a documentary wedding photographer with over two decades of experience in photographing and filming weddings.
