Someone at the Ponta Luz clinic is paying doctors and nurses to keep Tina sedated, to keep her secretly asleep in bed so she won't talk. What does Tina know? What has she seen? Tina's father, lawyer Patricio Salgado, represents the powerful gas multinationals working in Cabo Delgado, where the largest natural gas field on earth was discovered in 2017. The suspicion is that Tina has been kidnapped with the aim of blackmailing her father. Meanwhile, Damiano discovers that someone from Maputo has followed him to Beira.

Damiano tries unsuccessfully to track down Tina's relatives: in Maputo he beats every possible trail, including that of the Estrela black market. The meeting with the musician Celia leads to a new revelation. Tina has been spotted in Beira, where they think she has been kidnapped.

Damiano decides to leave for Maputo, following Tina’s trail, retracing the days that followed the controversial death of the Mozambican rapper Azagaia. In the capital, Horacio is waiting for him, and with him, a long series of twists and turns.

During an argument between customers he ends up in the emergency room, where he meets Tina.
