Breaking The Habit (Linkin Park Remix)

I started this remix years ago, don't really remember how I got around to doing this but it just came up after talking with a friend about Linkin Park and how the musical direction was changing. There were already hints of the change starting Meteora, and everybody knows the rest leading up to One More Light. Originally this remix was supposed to "rearrange" the song Breaking The Habit into being closer to the style on Hybrid Theory. Never got finished since I wasn't satisfied with my work. In light of the recent news however, on Chester's passing, I got the inspiration and drive to tackle this remix again from the ground up (I lost the original files) and tried now to fuse the heaviness of Hybrid Theory with my own style. Really love how it turned out, two days of creative energy being poured into this was worth it. Hope you guys enjoy my arrangement. RIP Chester Bennington March 20, 1976 – July 20, 2017

    Primordial

This is one of the more personal instrumentals I've ever composed. It's quite clear that I haven't been composing or doing anything related to LEAF XCEED Music Division online, since I've been busy with so many other things in life, as well as with so many other interests. I don't want to repeat narratives I've written about ad nauseum in my blog, but tl;dr is I question myself all the time in so many ways, as well as all the things I'd have thought to be set in stone. That said, this piece was made for me--I imagined my composition style to be stripped down to its very core, just to see what's left of my musical self after having stopped for so long. While you have -very- lazily put together rhythm, bass, and drum sections (I already see people complaining about me pasting the same patterns over and over again), I find myself in melody--melody is king. So after all this time, and all these changing circumstances in my life, my melodies are still here with me. I feel like I've lost a huge chunk of what I learned in the past, but I'm fine with starting back from square one. Not that it's really square one, but I at least am certain that I have crafted one weapon in my music that will never break.

    DualBlade - Military Arts

I made a concept of this remix way back in 2009, along with many others. This was one of the songs I wanted to release for the original Website Releases but never got to finishing (nor was I able to finish it for Soundtrack Of The Underground). Well, until now that is. XDD I'm planning to treat the other betas I have in the same manner. There are just some songs that would be an absolute shame not to get remixed. 2009 Concept: http://www.mediafire.com/download/sna6dipnut7pp6q/Military_Arts_%282009_Concept%29.mp3 Original Song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=otrPfMR_l68

    Arc Lumina - Hoodz - Robyn's Theme

I composed this for a class I took up in my last year at the Ateneo de Manila University, CS179.15A - Introduction to Games and Game Design I. Unfortunately, since we were kinda rushing things and we had a strict time limit, it never got used. Well, at least it's here XDD All concept art for the game, like the album art, was done by Veron Oliva: http://unguidedwinds.tumblr.com

    DualBlade - Scarborough Test

One of the things I've been working on the past few days while waiting for graduation. I forgot how wonderful it felt to put strings, piano and metal together. This is probably going to be the first track of Website Releases III once I get around to making album art or something. Edit: holy moly the stream sounds awful, download for better quality

    Ramon Nario - Hello Panda

Composed for the class: IS 161.6 Special Topics in Philippine Studies: Philippine Music and Culture under Sir Jonathan A. Coo Ateneo de Manila University -------------------- I was asked to compose a sort of jingle for class. It could be about anything, from product advertisements to political candidate jingles, but why would I waste a chance on not promoting one of the tastiest snacks ever with low bass voice harmonies? Probably the spiritual successor to Mashed Potato or something ... -------------------- Lyrics: 12 in the afternoon Break time's starting soon It's time to play Run and hide, slip and slide Tag you're it, you'll never catch me 'cause I'm faster than the wind and light combined And after all that's said and done I need a break from all the fun A snack so good I can't ignore I'll keep on wanting more and more Hello Panda We can share it with each other Hello Panda Chocolates are forever Hello Panda In a little tiny biscuit You'll find treasure and adventure Let's all go together

Arc Lumina - A Promise In Time

The image of a promise, perhaps one of childhood friends, that they will meet again someday. Final version of A Promise In Time! Made it sound less mechanic and more music-box-like, which is sort of an oxymoron but whatever.

    Ramon Nario - Maibabalik

Another track from school. Here's a proof-of-concept of a social justice song for my IS 161.6 - Philippine Music class from the Ateneo de Manila University as well. Sorry in advance for my heavily-accented Tagalog.

    Arc Lumina - Folly

This piece is very loosely based around the Folia. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Folia I made this composition for IS 121.7 - Music: Rudiments Of Music in the Ateneo de Manila University. Unlike all my compositions online, this time around, I actually performed the lead part instead of leaving it to MIDI playback. ... but this is not a recording of that live performance. Still MIDI playback HAHA

Arc Lumina - False Fugue In A Minor

Been listening to an awful lot of Baroque music recently. Tried to compose a fugue based solely on what I heard, so this is technically not a fugue by procedural standards and only something that sounds like it. In other words, it's a poser fugue. Sorry, Bach.

    Arc Lumina - Rain

Yet another case of me doodling in Baroque. Testing a new guitar plugin.

Arc Lumina - The Land Of Ice And Snow (Demo)

Arc Lumina - The Land Of Ice And Snow (Demo) (2014) An idea I made a few days back from one of the more underappreciated songs from what is probably Stratovarius' worst album. It may be the only gem there. The whole song uses the same melody, so this would sound alright when looped.

Ramon Nario - Have It Your Way [ver. RBA]

"It seems you tripped again ..." Composed, performed, recorded & mixed by Ramon Nario. In someone else's bedroom. Equipment used were a Yamaha acoustic guitar, a Nokia E7 & FL Studio 10. We all have experienced this because of someone, and we all have caused someone to experience this. I just decided to make a song about it! If you never knew, RBA stands for Really Bad Acoustic. I'm horribly pitchy in the end, but I'm working on it. This song doesn't have a 2nd verse yet XD -------------------- Lyrics: Hello, and welcome To your safety net again Haven't seen you for some time Skipped a beat or missed a rhyme Whatever, it seems you tripped again Now please don't worry, I am here to help you stand But I really wish you'd learn I'm not always here by your demand We're here in times of trouble But please don't complicate it any more Mistakes are there for us to learn If you need someone to talk to Well, I'm always here But sadly enough, You seem to pay more attention to you What do you want me to do What do you want me to say It seems things are better off your way Have I not told you enough We keep on going in circles now Have it your way Will you please listen to me Just once or twice, you will see My advice will take you far Have I not told you enough We keep on going in circles now Have it your way
