Morgan Reifsteck: College Graduate, Equestrian, Dyslexic
Morgan is a soon-to-be graduate from the College of Charleston with a Bachelor's in Organizational Management and Development. Her journey with dyslexia has been a series of ups and downs. Like many with dyslexia, she questioned why she was being taken out of class and struggled to explain this to her peers. In fourth grade, she attended a school similar to Trident, a school for dyslexia and ADHD that emphasized reading comprehension, relationship-building, and strategies for thriving in daily life.

The short film “Mical” is based on an inspiring true story of tenacity. A seven-year-old boy struggles to make sense of words on the page. But when Mike is diagnosed with dyslexia and the teachers continue to fail him, his mother takes matters into her own hands to help her son fulfill his true potential. Mical premiered at the Manhattan Film Festival, LA Shorts Film Festival, and Maryland International Film Festival in 2020.
