Liberate Your English
by Sarah-Jane
This podcast is not for everyone. It’s for women who know — in their bones — that they are here to change things. Women working at the edges of transformation. Women shaping the future of energy, technology, economics, justice. Women whose thinking is sharp, whose vision is big — and who have learned, slowly and quietly, to make themselves smaller. Not because they aren’t capable. But because they’ve been operating inside systems that bruise women’s voices — especially when those voices come with an accent. I’m Sarah Jane. For years, I worked with extraordinary women who believed their English was the problem. But it wasn’t. The real barrier was fear. Conditioning. The pressure to be perfect. The unspoken rule to be “good”, agreeable, and grateful to be there. So if something in you knows this is bigger than language — If you’re tired of shrinking to be acceptable — If you’re ready to meet the version of yourself who doesn’t ask for permission — Welcome to Liberate Your English. Transactional vs Transcendental Communication
Why do some conversations leave you feeling like nothing really moved? In this episode, I’m exploring the difference between transactional and transcendental communication. Transactional communication keeps things functional, safe and predictable, but often nothing truly shifts. Transcendental communication is different. It opens something, invites reflection, challenges automatic thinking, and creates the possibility for real change. We look at why this kind of communication requires self-trust, courage and presence, especially for women who have been taught to stay polite, smooth and non-threatening.Follow the podcast and explore The Power in You through the links in the show notes.#ConfidenceInEnglish #WomenInLeadership #ExecutiveEnglish #PowerfulCommunication #PresenceAndInfluence #LiberateYourEnglishA FREE SIX MINUTE AUDIO TO TRANSFORM YOUR ENGLISHCONNECT WITH SARAH-JANE:https://www.linkedin.com/in/sarahjane-communication/https://www.thepowerinyou.info/ https://sarahjane.life/

Attention Is Power
What if confidence in English has less to do with ability, and more to do with where your attention goes?In this episode, I’m exploring why attention is one of the foundations of confidence, presence and influence. So many women lose power in important moments, not because they are incapable, but because their attention gets pulled into self-monitoring, self-criticism and fear. We look at how that split in attention affects fluency and impact, and why learning to direct your attention more consciously can change the way you speak, respond and show up in English.Follow the podcast and explore The Power in You through the links in the show notes.#ConfidenceInEnglish #ExecutiveEnglish #WomenInLeadership #PresenceAndInfluence #AttentionIsPower #LiberateYourEnglishA FREE SIX MINUTE AUDIO TO TRANSFORM YOUR ENGLISHCONNECT WITH SARAH-JANE:https://www.linkedin.com/in/sarahjane-communication/https://www.thepowerinyou.info/ https://sarahjane.life/

Magnetic Desire vs Fear-Based Goals
What if the reason you feel stuck in English is not lack of discipline, but the energy driving the goal?In this episode, I’m exploring the difference between fear-based goals and magnetic desire. So many women approach English through pressure, shame and self-correction, thinking “I should be better by now.” But that energy does not create real freedom. We look at why lasting change comes from desire instead, the desire to feel calm, powerful, expressive and fully yourself in English.Follow the podcast and explore The Power in You through the links in the show notes.#ConfidenceInEnglish #ExecutiveEnglish #WomenInLeadership #SelfTrust #EmbodiedCommunication #LiberateYourEnglishA FREE SIX MINUTE AUDIO TO TRANSFORM YOUR ENGLISHCONNECT WITH SARAH-JANE:https://www.linkedin.com/in/sarahjane-communication/https://www.thepowerinyou.info/ https://sarahjane.life/

Why Women Over-Explain, Self-Edit, and Hold Back
Why do so many women say less than they really mean in English? In this episode, I’m unpacking the deeper reason women over-explain, self-edit and hold back. These habits can look like professionalism, but often they’re forms of self-protection, shaped by fear of judgement, misunderstanding and not being taken seriously. We explore how these patterns weaken your message, split your attention and disconnect you from your real voice, and why true power begins when you stop performing, trust your point and let your words land.Follow the podcast and explore The Power in You through the links in the show notes.#ConfidenceInEnglish #WomenInLeadership #ExecutiveEnglish #SelfTrust #EmbodiedCommunication #LiberateYourEnglishA FREE SIX MINUTE AUDIO TO TRANSFORM YOUR ENGLISHCONNECT WITH SARAH-JANE:https://www.linkedin.com/in/sarahjane-communication/https://www.thepowerinyou.info/ https://sarahjane.life/

You’re Not Incompetent - You’re Conditioned
What if the problem is not that you’re bad at English, but that you’ve been trained to doubt yourself inside it?In this episode, I’m unpacking the difference between incompetence and conditioning, and why that distinction changes everything. So many women think their hesitation, overthinking and self-consciousness in English mean something is wrong with them. But often, what’s really showing up is years of self-monitoring, people-pleasing and learning to stay small. This episode is about recognising those patterns, understanding that they were learned, and remembering that what was learned can also be unlearned.Follow the podcast and explore The Power in You through the links in the show notes.#ConfidenceInEnglish #WomenInLeadership #ExecutiveEnglish #SelfTrust #EmbodiedCommunication #LiberateYourEnglishA FREE SIX MINUTE AUDIO TO TRANSFORM YOUR ENGLISHCONNECT WITH SARAH-JANE:https://www.linkedin.com/in/sarahjane-communication/https://www.thepowerinyou.info/ https://sarahjane.life/

The Authority Gap: Why Women Aren’t Automatically Believed
What if being doubted in English is not always a sign that you are doing something wrong? In this episode, I’m talking about the authority gap, that experience of knowing what you’re talking about, but still feeling like you have to prove it more, explain it more, and package it more carefully to be believed. We explore why women are not always granted authority automatically, how this can become even more intense in English, and why it matters to stop confusing cultural bias with personal failure. This is about staying rooted in your expertise, protecting your energy, and learning not to hand your power away the moment somebody questions you.Follow the podcast and explore The Power in You through the links in the show notes.#AuthorityGap #WomenInLeadership #ConfidenceInEnglish #ExecutiveEnglish #EmbodiedAuthority #LiberateYourEnglishA FREE SIX MINUTE AUDIO TO TRANSFORM YOUR ENGLISHCONNECT WITH SARAH-JANE:https://www.linkedin.com/in/sarahjane-communication/https://www.thepowerinyou.info/ https://sarahjane.life/

The Shame Beneath “I’m Not Good Enough in English”
What if “I’m not good enough in English” isn’t really about English at all?In this episode, I’m talking about the shame that can sit underneath so much struggle in English. When one mistake feels humiliating, when hesitation feels exposing, and when imperfect English starts to feel like proof that you’re not enough, that’s not just language insecurity, it’s shame. We explore how shame affects visibility, self-trust and confidence, and why real progress begins when you stop turning language into identity and start creating safety with yourself instead.Follow the podcast and explore The Power in You through the links in the show notes.#ShameInEnglish #ConfidenceInEnglish #WomenInLeadership #ExecutiveEnglish #SelfTrust #LiberateYourEnglishA FREE SIX MINUTE AUDIO TO TRANSFORM YOUR ENGLISHCONNECT WITH SARAH-JANE:https://www.linkedin.com/in/sarahjane-communication/https://www.thepowerinyou.info/ https://sarahjane.life/

From Executive English to Embodied Power
This work was never just about English. In this episode, I’m sharing how Liberate Your English was born, and the moment I realised that language wasn’t the whole story. After years of working with brilliant, high-achieving women, I kept hearing the same thing: “I don’t feel like myself in English.” What looked like an English problem was often something deeper, self-doubt, fear of judgement, nervous system activation, and a lifetime of learning to stay small. This episode is about closing the gap between who you are and who you’re able to be in English, so your voice feels powerful, safe and fully yours.Follow the podcast, and explore The Power in You through the links in the show notes.#LiberateYourEnglish #ExecutiveEnglish #WomenInLeadership #ConfidenceInEnglish #EmbodiedCommunication #EnglishForWomenLeadersA FREE SIX MINUTE AUDIO TO TRANSFORM YOUR ENGLISHCONNECT WITH SARAH-JANE:https://www.linkedin.com/in/sarahjane-communication/https://www.thepowerinyou.info/ https://sarahjane.life/

Why Powerful Women Freeze at Critical Moments
Freezing in English doesn’t mean you’re weak, unprepared, or not good enough. In this episode, Sarah explores why capable, intelligent women can still go blank in the moments that matter most. You’ll hear why freezing is often a self-protection response, what fear may be sitting underneath it, and how to stop turning these moments into proof that something is wrong with you. This is a gentle but powerful reminder that confidence is not about forcing yourself to perform. It’s about creating safety, understanding your patterns, and learning to stay with yourself when pressure rises.Follow the podcast for more episodes on confidence, self-expression, and finding your true voice in English. Perfect English Is a Trap
Are you staying silent because you’re waiting for your English to be perfect? In this episode, we’re talking about the trap of perfectionism and why it keeps so many women stuck, overthinking, self-editing, and doubting themselves every time they speak English. This isn’t really about language. It’s about fear.Fear of being judged, misunderstood, or sounding less intelligent than you are.I’m sharing why perfect English is never the goal, and what real confidence actually looks like: trusting yourself, staying present, and refusing to let mistakes silence your voice.Because your power in English does not come from flawless grammar. It comes from feeling free enough to express who you truly are.Follow the podcast for more empowering conversations around confidence, voice, and powerful communication in English, and explore The Power in You programme through the show notes.#ConfidenceInEnglish #Perfectionism #WomenInLeadership #SpeakEnglishConfidently #MindsetForGrowthA FREE SIX MINUTE AUDIO TO TRANSFORM YOUR ENGLISHCONNECT WITH SARAH-JANE:https://www.linkedin.com/in/sarahjane-communication/https://www.thepowerinyou.info/ https://sarahjane.life/

The Confidence Gap Between Your Languages
Why do you feel more like yourself in your mother tongue than you do in English? In this episode, I’m exploring the gap so many women experience between who they really are and who they feel able to be in English.Because often, it’s not just about vocabulary, fluency, or mistakes. It’s about pressure.Pressure to get it right.Pressure to sound good.Pressure to prove yourself. And under that pressure, it’s very easy to stop expressing and start doubting yourself. In this episode, we look at what’s really happening beneath that experience, why this can feel so personal, and why the answer is not perfect English. It’s learning to feel more like yourself when you speak. In this episode:why English can create a disconnect from your real selfthe hidden pressure behind hesitation and overthinkingwhy this is often deeper than languagethe shift that helps you feel more confident in EnglishListen now and ask yourself:Is this really about my English…or is it about the way I’ve learned not to trust myself in English?A FREE SIX MINUTE AUDIO TO TRANSFORM YOUR ENGLISHCONNECT WITH SARAH-JANE:https://www.linkedin.com/in/sarahjane-communication/https://www.thepowerinyou.info/ https://sarahjane.life/

Your English Is Not the Problem
In this episode, I’m saying something I know many women need to hear, your English is not the real problem. If you are capable, experienced, and highly competent, but still freeze, hesitate, or leave conversations thinking, "That is not what I meant to say," there is a deeper reason for that.I talk about the difference between language ability and felt power, and why more vocabulary, more polishing, and more effort do not always change anything. This is about voice, safety, and what happens when brilliant women are expected to speak inside systems that were never built to fully hear them.Highlights:(01:34) - The moment I say it clearly, your English is not the problem(02:05) - Why more vocabulary and accuracy did not change the real block(02:42) - The difference between language ability and felt power(03:18) - English became the container for doubt, but it did not start there(04:02) - This is not about confidence, it is about safety(04:24) - The real work, reclaiming your voice, not fixing yourselfA FREE SIX MINUTE AUDIO TO TRANSFORM YOUR ENGLISHCONNECT WITH SARAH-JANE:https://www.linkedin.com/in/sarahjane-communication/https://www.thepowerinyou.info/ https://sarahjane.life/
