Today I am joined by the icon Chloe Stevens, a Women's health Physiotherapist and Nutritionist. Chloe is passionate about health & fitness, and has worked within the NHS for 10 years. She also has a consultancy working with Fitness Coaches (like me) to help them understand Women's Health in more detail so that they can provide a better service to their clients. She's had such a positive impact on my life and business already in the time that I've worked with her. Ep. 17 - Stop Seeking Validation From Others
Hinging your happiness on instagram likes, people noticing your new hair cut, or complimenting you on your outfit is a slippery slope. And whilst we all like to hear these compliments, or these 'seeds of validation', all too quickly we can end up relying on these ‘pick me ups’ so that when we don’t receive these words of affirmation, we feel lost, question our decisions, and ultimately not feel liked/successful/happy or 'good enough'. In this episode I discuss my own struggles with this, and shared tips on how I started making steps towards overcoming this sabotaging behaviour and thought process to fulfil my full potential, in the hopes that it can also help you do the same! Ep. 16 - Difficult Emotions & The Big Word for 2024
Welcome Back! First episode in a while, as I spent January focusing on myself and rebuilding after a bit of an emotional Christmas. Feelings of loneliness, self-doubt and financial stresses had my knickers in a serious TWIST which left me feeling quite distressed and I didn't feel like myself. Ep. 12 - A snippet of Amy's journey
Amy's journey to Fearless! Amy started with me in June '21 - Jan '22. She had a short-term goal for a holiday, which we absolutely smashed. Circumstances for Amy then changed meaning she had to go off and trial things by herself for a while. Fast forward to March 2023, she's back knocking on my coaching door, chasing an emotion of feeling amazing, but this time, wanting it to last for life! We took an approach of, yes we've got a holiday and photoshoot to aim for, but how can we make sure we're striving for that 'lifestyle change', so she can maintain that feeling for life. Ep. 7 - Challenging the All or Nothing Mindset
So I gave you the opportunity to pick the topic for this week, and in this episode I discuss the All or Nothing Mindset! A lot of you wrote in, so in this episode I go through the experiences you have shared, and discuss how I would approach these myself and how I would advise clients to tackle them. I discuss things such as the 'I'll start again on Monday' Eating 'bad' foods in moderation How to navigate a meal out whilst dieting without the guilt Navigating difficult situations and staying on track when emotions are high I hope that if you related to some of these issues then this episode is somewhat helpful in overcoming or at least changing you mindset around these different topics. In this episode I run through the fundamentals of building muscle, which include the WHY, HOW and the MINDSET shift. WHY? Why is it important for us to be regularly resistance training and building muscle? HOW?? The key fundamentals that you need to be hitting when it comes to building muscle. MINDSET! What I struggled with when I went through phases of building muscle, and how I overcame those struggles. A lot of people will assume that someone who has visible confidence, has been that way their whole life.. However, in this podcast I discuss how that was very much not the case for me personally.. throughout my teens I was even researching surgeries on how to rectify my biggest insecurity. Ep. 14 - Why focusing on your appearance is the reason you’re not making progress (and how to fix it)
Let me set the scene... You started your diet again, things were going well.. you were ticking things off, but your progress has been slow and you've not seen any changes in the mirror. This is the millionth time you've become frustrated and given up on your fitness journey, because you're not reaping the rewards of your efforts. I get it, it's SO frustrating when you don't see those results. I've been there too. In this episode I share with you the two things I implemented in order to get fool-proof results. How to overcome gym anxiety.. What's the root cause? How can we overcome it? Is it a case of a new environment? Too many people? Fear of looking like a Wally? Not knowing what you're doing? Setting up machines? Or just not being comfortable in your own company? Whatever the root cause, there will be ways of overcoming it. Ep. 3 - I Just Didn't Feel Good Enough - My Pivotal Turning Point in Portugal
So if I'm being honest (and I know I'm no podcast guru and this is only my third episode..) but it's definitely the most difficult one to post.. In this episode I get super vulnerable about a pivotal turning point from my recent trip to Portugal.. whereby Ben Mark sat me and 13 other coaches down to hear from some of the world's most successful Online Coaches, to hear from them in regards to their past and how they were able to get themselves to where they are today. The challenges and adversities they've overcome to become successes. There was one moment with Phil Graham that completely altered how I view myself; past, present and future.. and in this episode I delve into it.. just a little bit. It's still something I'm kind of processing, so I don't drag it out.. but it's definitely something I think I want to talk about in more detail.. but for now I hope you enjoy this snippet. And I hope you realise, by listening, that you're not alone with the feelings and thoughts you have inside your head.. hopefully voicing my own insecurities will help you see that you really are stronger than you think. You're not strange or weird or broken because you have these beliefs, but you also don't have to deal with them alone.. and you're more than capable of overcoming them. In this episode I talk through the pivotal points that got me from being the LEAST sporty person I know, to someone who actually enjoyed moving her body, putting her health first, and creating balance where she previously had none. I also discuss feeling like I don't belong in the gym, how training upper body actually IMPROVED my confidence and made me feel empowered and NOT masculine, and how I'll never be doing a Tough Mudder ever again!!! Ep. 1 - I've bitten the bullet
It's been a journey you know, but I honestly feel like I'm just getting started with what I want to achieve for myself, and I really want to share this journey with you. 2023 is the year where I take no prisoners. No more procrastinating on the things I've said I've wanted to do, and what better way to document and share it all with you than a semi-regular podcast. This is my first episode. I didn't plan it, NGL I was procrastinating slightly from other things (whoops), but I had so much fun making it, I decided to keep it. In a very short 10 minutes, I give a very brief overview into my 28 years of living, and what I hope to achieve with this new journey I'm on!
