    Dave Moody

This week on LIVING IT LOUD: Dave Moody“The Godfather” Dave Moody began his motorsports broadcast career in 1978 at age 17, working as a short-track public address announcer under the guidance of his mentor, former CBS-TV motorsports anchorman Ken Squier. For the next 30 years, Moody manned the PA microphone at one of the country’s most successful short tracks, Thunder Road International Speedbowl in his native Vermont.“I learned at the feet of the master,” recalls Moody. “Ken taught me everything I know about the sport. I would announce a couple of Street Stock heats every week, then report to Ken’s office the next morning for a thorough review of my performance and tips on how to improve. It was an amazing opportunity, and I have made a career from what he taught me.” From his start at that tiny, quarter-mile track in Vermont, Moody expanded his horizons to include weekly stints on the microphone at Vermont’s Catamount Stadium and Bear Ridge Speedway, the Lee USA Speedway in New Hampshire, Maine’s Oxford Plains Speedway and the Airborne Park Speedway in New York. He also served as the voice of the NASCAR North and American-Canadian Tour Late Model Series for more than two decades, traveling throughout the northeastern United States and eastern Canada. “It was a lot of work, but I can’t think of a better way for a young announcer to learn the trade,” recalls Moody. “It was standard operating procedure for me to work at a different track every Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday from Memorial Day through Labor Day. At last count, I had worked at more than 100 different speedways in the United States, Canada and Mexico. At the height of my short-track days, I had more than 600 drivers, cars, hometowns and sponsors memorized for instant recall.”Tune in live each week at 8am MST on Wednesdays (re-air at 6pm MST on Fridays) on AM 1220 KLDC for new interviews with amazing guests from across the country as they share their unique stories because…….EVERYONE has a story!#livingitloud #livingitloudradioshow #livingitloudwithtamibandimere #radioshow #radioshowhost #bandimerespeedway #bandimerefamily #coloradoradio #colorado #denvercolorado #tamibandimere #bandimere

    Danielle Reeves

This week on LIVING IT LOUD:  Danielle has lived in the Littleton area for the past 26 years and spent that time serving in local pastoral roles, fostering and leading church collaborations, and building bridges between the faith community and local government agencies. These partnerships flow out of Danielle’s passion for seeking unity in the midst of diversity, extending Jesus’s invitation to sit at his table with people from all different backgrounds, cultures, and experiences. This prompted the fall 2020 launch of Resilience Church, a community that strives to gather together, walk the journey of faith, and serve the community side-by-side. Danielle holds a Master of Divinity degree from Denver Seminary, an MA in Organizational Leadership degree from Eastern University, and is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Spiritual Formation, Leadership, and Church Planting at Asbury Seminary. She’s been married to her husband David for 31 years and spends most of her free time outside, where she enjoys hiking, kayaking, and hanging out with David, her four adult kids, and their families. Tune in live each week at 8am MST on Wednesdays (re-air at 6pm MST on Fridays) on AM 1220 KLDC for new interviews with amazing guests from across the country as they share their unique stories because…….EVERYONE has a story!#livingitloud #livingitloudradioshow #livingitloudwithtamibandimere #radioshow #radioshowhost #bandimerespeedway #bandimerefamily #coloradoradio #colorado #denvercolorado #tamibandimere #bandimere

    Jack Phillips

This week on LIVING IT LOUD:  Jack Phillips is the Colorado cake artist who was at the center of one of 2018’s most talked-about U.S. Supreme Court decisions.  In a 7-2 decision, the U.S. Supreme Court condemned Colorado’s “clear and impermissible hostility toward [Jack’s] sincere religious beliefs.”  Since then, Jack has had to endure two more lawsuits, each one bringing a new test to his faith.  Both Jack and his wife Debi were raised in churchgoing families, but neither put much stock in what they learned. They started their own family with little interest in anything related to faith, but when Jack and Debi became Christians everything changed.  The very name of Jack’s shop—Masterpiece Cakeshop—not only reflects that Jack designs artistic cakes but is also a constant reminder that he operates his business in service to his ultimate Master—Jesus Christ. As Jack says, “We don’t want God to be part of our lives on just Sundays. Frank and Kaye Peterson

This week on LIVING IT LOUD:    Frank and Kaye Peterson began dating while attending Alameda High School in Lakewood, Colorado where Frank ran track and played basketball, and Kaye was a cheerleader. One of those dates was to watch the Pikes Peak Hill Climb in 1955 at 16 Mile where, due to her enthusiasm for the event, Kaye fainted in the thin air. Despite the rough beginning, they were hooked on Pikes Peak and have been a part of almost every race since.  They were inducted as a racing duo both in the Colorado Motorsports Hall of Fame in 2008, and in the Pikes Peak Hill Climb Hall of Fame in 2014. Unless Frank was in a race car on the course, you rarely saw one without the other. Their relationship speaks of total support and total commitment, both to each other.  Their longtime business, Lakewood Manufacturing, and home is located off South Rooney Road across the highway from where Bandimere Speedway called home for 65 years and it is where Frank, with the help of Kay, has made a name for himself in steel fabrication.Tune in live each week at 8am MST on Wednesdays (re-air at 6pm MST on Fridays) on AM 1220 KLDC for new interviews with amazing guests from across the country as they share their unique stories because…….EVERYONE has a story!#livingitloud #livingitloudradioshow #livingitloudwithtamibandimere #radioshow #radioshowhost #bandimerespeedway #bandimerefamily #coloradoradio #colorado #denvercolorado #tamibandimere #bandimere

    Dave Dravecky

On this weeks LIVING IT LOUD: Dave Dravecky“My story is one of finding hope, courage and perseverance in the midst of dark and overwhelming uncertainty. In 1988, I was at the top of my game and my life. Not only did I have a wonderful family but I was also at the peak of my career, playing the game of my childhood dreams. My opening day victory over the Dodgers was overshadowed later that fall by the discovery of cancer and the removal of half of the deltoid muscle in my pitching arm. After battling cancer in my pitching arm, I came back a year later to defy the odds and pitch once again in the Major Leagues. Despite being told by my doctors, “Short of a miracle, you’ll never pitch again,” I pitched a 4-3 win for the San Francisco Giants that day.  Sadly, my comeback was short-lived. Five days later, I threw “…the pitch that could be heard round the world.” My arm broke. As I tumbled to the ground, I was overwhelmed with pain wondering what is going on in my life. I realized in that moment there was something going on that was much bigger than baseball. After my comeback and fall from the mound, the cancer returned, yet again. The arm refused to get better so I decided to retire from my dream, the game of baseball, in November of 1989. Finally, the arm along with my shoulder blade and the left side of my collarbone had to be amputated for fear the cancer would spread and take my life. Little did I know that the loss of my childhood dream would become a platform to share hope with the suffering around the world. The challenges I’ve faced in the years following have taught me volumes and I now travel the country sharing the lessons I’ve learned—lessons on how to navigate loss and suffering, and how to experience encouragement and hope. More recently I’ve been exploring how we define our true worth, learning that it’s not what you do that matters most—it’s who you are. The experiences of my life have drawn me to discover and share about the value and significance of relationships—relationships with co-workers, family members and anyone else on ‘my team.’ My personal experiences have also taught me to evaluate life—challenging myself as well as others to press on towards our future goals.Currently, my busy schedule takes me all over the country, sharing my story and what I’ve learned to groups of all ages and sizes. My motivational messages are straight from my own experiences with loss and suffering as I seek to inspire through the encouragement and hope I’ve discovered along the way.”Tune in live each week at 8am MST on Wednesdays (re-air at 6pm MST on Fridays) on AM 1220 KLDC for new interviews with amazing guests from across the country as they share their unique stories because…….EVERYONE has a story!#livingitloud #livingitloudradioshow #livingitloudwithtamibandimere #radioshow #radioshowhost #bandimerespeedway #bandimerefamily #coloradoradio #colorado #denvercolorado #tamibandimere #bandimere
