Lost In Translation
by Tess Nguyen-Greaton
Lost in Translation is a podcast and creative research project exploring what happens to stories, memories, and identity when experience moves between languages. Drawing on interviews, personal reflection, and Indigenous literary theory, this project approaches translation not as a neutral exchange of words, but as a site where meaning can fracture, authority can shift, and entire ways of knowing can be made vulnerable.Rather than treating translation as a problem to be solved, this project sits with its limits. It asks what is lost, what remains, and what responsibility we carry when we listen to and retell other people’s stories.
