Maniac With A Machete

Much like any sitcom in the 80's and 90's, Jason and Rachel have a memory episode where they talk about everything they've seen and go through for the past 20 episode, in between discussing their final movie together: Freddy vs Jason. They talk about a lot of other things too, but there is some Freddy and Jason talk in between. It's also the FINAL episode of Van Talk. I know you're sad we're leaving, but think about the journey and not the destination...or something.

When we decided to cover the Nightmare on Elm Street movies, there was one film that Jason was totally not looking forward to, besides Part 2. And that was the very unneeded remake. But here we are. How does Rachel feel about this pointless bland remake? Let's find out!

Things get ultra meta in this episode as Jason and Rachel talk about Wes Craven's New Nightmare, which is a movie about the stars and filmmakers of the Nightmare on Elm Street films, especially Heather Langencamp, coming across a real life Freddy Krueger!

This week of Maniac with a Machete has Jason and Rachel visiting Freddy's Dead: The Final Nightmare, the movie that was suppose to end the Nightmare on Elm Street series once and for all. Clearly, that didn't happen. But they had fun discussing this nonetheless.

In this speedy episode, Jason and Rachel talk about A Nightmare on Elm Street Part 5: The Dream Child and the continuing adventures of Alice. I'm serious, this is a pretty quick episode. You see, Rachel wasn't feeling too good, the movie isn't that long, and Jason needs to go do stuff. So sorry if you like the long ones. Maybe next week.
