Connections and Parkinson's - Working Age

Here is episode four of MBH & Connections: The Podcast. Today I am talking to another participant of ours who attends our Parkinson’s group. Dave was diagnosed with Parkinson’s while he was still working full time, and talks to me about his diagnosis and balancing the condition with a full time job. He went on to set up the Parkinson’s Group for People of Working Age in Hereford, aimed at ensuring that people who are still working have access to a Parkinson’s support group. Today Dave and I discuss how his Parkinson’s affected his work and connections with his colleagues, the connections he has formed since retiring from work, and also the connections that he has formed within his CE sessions. Parkinson’s Café for People of Working Age:https://localsupport.parkinsons.org.uk/activity/parkinsons-cafe-people-working-age-hereford For more information on Parkinson’s and freezing:https://www.parkinsons.org.uk/information/symptoms/motor/freezingTo find out more - About Conductive Education and the Professional Conductors' Association:https://pca-ce.org/about-conductive-education/ About Megan Baker House:https://www.meganbakerhouse.org.uk/ Don't forget to follow us on social media:https://www.facebook.com/meganbakerhouse/?locale=en_GBhttps://www.instagram.com/meganbakerhouse/?hl=en If you have any questions, you can also write to me at:[email protected]
