This podcast is hosted by fabulous Ru Chen, a third-year at Chapman University, where she discusses the extravagant Met Gala. This fundraising, red carpet event is one of the most paid attention to high art events in the world, yet there seems to be little knowledge about the occasion. This light-hearted podcast will deconstruct the Met Gala through its history, philanthropy, theme, and looks. Ru will be focusing on the 2021 Met Gala specifically. The first episode will be an introduction and general history of the Met Gala. The rest of the series will be analyzing specific looks with the charming special guest, Eva Simpao. This show will be coming from a critical perspective of an art history major that will look at the event from a broader, more theoretical lens. When it comes to influencers at the gala to up-and-coming designers, Eva and Ru will talk about it all.
