Two years later, she founded Emprove U as a wellness platform that focuses on how the intersection between mental, emotional, physical, and financial health affects overall well-being. It was at the height of the pandemic that Ms. Davis first noticed how certain underrepresented groups struggled most with their mental health yet lacked the focus and available resources afforded to over other disparaged groups. It is because of these findings that Emprove U focuses primarily on three hubs: men, youth and entrepreneurs. Through Emprove U, Ms Davis kicked off the Men-Too Mental Health series, a roundtable for men's mental health issues in August 2022. The quarterly series pulls together men from different disciplines, age groups, educational levels and walks of life to discuss specific stressors and other affecting men's mental health today like stigma, incarceration and racism. The second installment of the series touched on how media influence and negative stereotypes affects men's mental health. The impact and need for the Men-Too Mental Health series has been unanimous as more support continues to pour in. No matter how difficult or daunting the task, Ms. Davis' passion and drive are the fuel behind her commitment to improving the mental wellness of her community.

Season 3, Episode 9: The P.R.I.Z.E. is Antwan McKenzie-Plez
Welcome to a new episode! Today's guest is Antwan McKenzie-Plez. Hello and welcome! My name is Antwan McKenzie-Plez, Owner & Clinical Director of Its All Grief, LLC, Grief & Trauma Specialist, Author, and bona fide Neuroscience Fanatic. I love the human brain and all of its amazing capabilities, including its ability to access true healing and restoration. I study it intensely and am constantly engaged in perfecting strategies to help people do just that. I consider myself, "Counselor by Profession... Healer by Calling". It's important to know that I practice therapy in a very de-colonized, non-traditional, and non-oppressive manner. By that, I mean that in our relationship, I may be the expert on mental health and healing, but YOU ARE THE EXPERT ON YOUR LIFE! So we both use our best skills to work together in healing and liberating you. I am a mental health counselor located in Broward County, Florida. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), licensed by the State of Florida (currently working on licensure in additional states). I hold a Bachelor of Science in ESE K-12, a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, and a Graduate Certification in Alcohol & Drug Abuse Counseling. I am trained and experienced in providing various types of therapy, including Brainspotting, EMDR, Cognitive Processing Therapy, and Trauma-Focused CBT just to name a few. Clientele I am experienced in treating a myriad of issues, including anxiety, depression, grief, and trauma-related disorders. I work with individuals ages 11 and up, and provide a focus on helping people survive and thrive in the systems they live in, with particular focus on the ever present role that unresolved grief plays in many of our situations in which we feel “stuck”- unable to move forward with life. My clients benefit from learning what it is that is causing them to feel stuck, and then becoming empowered to take effective action in their own lives toward getting “un-stuck”. Sometimes this includes freeing oneself from the bondage of expectations, which can sometimes keep us from living as our truest and most authentic self. I am a strong advocate for all gender minorities, to include cisgender women, women of color, and trans-identified individuals. I am a fierce defender of every child’s right to live and grow in a supportive and loving environment, and a champion for families. I am an advocate for human rights for all people. My therapy office is a safe space for all people.

ABOUT THIS SHOW
Men Are The P.R.I.Z.E. podcast is a safe space for men to be vulnerable, open and emotional. Using the P.R.I.Z.E. mantra, Harvey and guests discuss how past relationships, past trauma and the inability to express emotions have affected the lives of countless men. By making the expression of male emotion commonplace, we hope to create a world of strong, vulnerable men, who realize they are the P.R.I.Z.E.
