Case Study, She-Migrator job seeking in Spain

Sometimes, no matter how prepared you are and interested in working, if the doors are closed, any effort is vain. This is how a week looks for a job-seeking person in Barcelona:How I start my Mondays, opening the email dedicated to job applications in Spain:Hola, Oana:Parece que tu experiencia podría ajustarse bien a este puesto de Actor de Voz (Euskera - masculino)I have many talents, but speaking Euskera is not one of them; I never fantasized about being an actor; and I´m not a man...Technology is nice, but if it helps. Such job-search platform aberrations only waste time and expose your personal data.I have lost lots of weight many times because of the labor inaccessibility and associated dynamics; there is no more energy left for such crap. At less than 40 kg, mobility is affected, believe me. I need a job opportunity, food access, medical access, a roof, and basics, like any person. Whom can I tell?< : >< : >It´s Tuesday. I have already been denied participation at 2 jobs this week, immediately after applying, even though my experience was consistent and my skills were compatible with the job.The only support the Catalan system is providing is sending me emails with proposals I don´t have what to do with, as they are not related to my education, experience, or developmental plan.OANA MAROTI,El día… tienes que renovar tu demanda de empleo en el SOC.From 3 in 3 months, I am obliged (tengo que) to renew the job seeking, unless I´m working. Therefore, from 3 in 3 months, I renew it, so that the system is aware that I am searching for a job, and supports me in doing so.I have been doing my part for years, but there is no support, no formation, no jobs.To whom can I explain this, as it has been a decade now of precarious contracts and incredible associated problems, in the same spot, Barcelona and its surroundings? Each time I open my mouth to talk about what is happening and ask for help, I´m told to leave, or that I´m victimizing…Therefore, I am experiencing direct exclusion and xenophobic reactions that are socially accepted. The only thing I can do right now is to live on the streets, as for months, random people have been feeding me. What kind of developmental opportunity is this?

Work in Progress – Creative Processing

Essay fragment on Creativity and brain processingCreative processing is something of special interest. The previous sketches, the random ideas, notes, and research before the final synthesis are fascinating for a neuroscience researcher. Such mental processing details can be seen step by step in the artistic creation, and it´s a similar processing with invention. The final result might be great, or not, but the steps in arriving there are of max importance. So that an artistic activity can become social, as is the case with mural art, it is first filtered by the personal perspective and implicitly has therapeutic value. When the communication intent the message, it´s processed beyond personal space, and it´s directed to the social realm, it becomes social art.Since we use creativity to stimulate memory, preserve it, and develop and expand language, to be or not creative is not an optional choice. Our existence moves around creative processing, and when we finally find a way of artistic expression, it´s when the language is reaching top developmental levels, and communicates.Closing the doors on creativity means implicitly closing communication and disturbing development. In other words, the more arts and crafts a society has integrated, as healthy the individuals are.An intent of communication, no matter the way, is preferable to an aggressive reaction.

    Crema de Limon

Essay fragment from the She Migrator seriesThe women in my life are leaving Catalonia after decades of resistance, moving from place to place, exorbitant rents, job difficulties, and seeking solitude when they suffer discrimination. Some are expectant mothers, others grandmothers; therefore, people we tend to protect and whose comfort in other cultures we ensure...normally, or conforming to the laws.Neurodivergent women face hardship in many places. We have all left for political reasons and in search of human treatment, a place where our rights are respected and where there is the possibility of raising future generations, in peace. It's not about migrant women adapting, but about society being capable and educated enough to welcome them and make them feel safe.Attacking immigrant women, ridiculing them, cutting them off from communication, not ensuring their medical care, and exploiting them is alarming, especially given all the efforts being made toward integration.Neurodivergent women, pacifists, people interested in the culture of their host country, capable of holding a conversation on any Spanish or Catalan cultural or historical topic, are being expelled from the city, and that is extremely strange.Conforming to the European inclusion planning, the objective is to include women in Spain, not just brag about it.This essay fragment is titled Crema de Limon, not Lemon Curd, because the immigrant women I write about, who are being kicked out of the city, know about international culinary history. This article makes Spain the advantage of referring to the original receipt, implicit publicity, and branding support. What does the host country do for us? Why is there no implicit reciprocity?

    Almonds and Ovaries

A woman´s body has two almond-shaped ovaries, one on each side of the uterus.Nature produces perfect spherical forms and beauty by default.

    Hasta los ovarios

We don't talk enough about the woman's body, yet we celebrate all kinds of eggs.Is time to focus on the woman's body, and the Venusian eggs. Our reproductive mechanism is amazing, yet it needs development conditions. The lack of opportunities and the widespread stress of a misogynistic society affect our system and can even completely eliminate the possibility of reproduction.

    Egg Stories with the Sun

It´s that time of the year when everyone is into eggs, all kinds of eggs. Yet, if you want to have a conversation about the egg mythology, from Pan Gu to Easter Island, passing through all of Christianity, and arriving at the recent bunny implication, there are hardly any who can participate. These days, people know that bunnies lay chocolate eggs, but fail to see the egg interculturality, as it´s not what they are taught. Some dye eggs, others make egg-shaped food, and for all of us, this happens during spring. In the seasonal understanding of the world, the motif of spring is rebirth and transformation, and the egg is the focal point. People are ancestrally connected through their own customs, philosophies, and travel stories. It remains to be seen whether the similarities, to recognize the immigration factor, and to negotiate for peace fairly, as we have for millennia, otherwise, the transformation is not complete.Any development, the egg´s development as well, depends on certain factors. Those factors that sustain development are set and met by us, adult humans. To ecosite, an egg needs conditions.Nothing in nature is random; all is based on an intrinsic adaptive theory of support. Therefore, if nature can organize so many creatures, we could also make an effort to organize ourselves so as not to harm one another, as the egg is connected, and when you harm the nucleus, the shell and all structure adapts, so that it might protect it.What seems fragile is only latent, in a process of development.

    Liquid Collective Memory

Injustice creates imbalance. When this imbalance manifests on a massive scale, it is devastating. As a group, we can use the magnitude of the situation to create balance and seek a just and fast response.Like a wave.

Om cu carte la cap – About housing, books, and discrimination

Since the real estate vampirism is sucking the people´s possibilities to access a home, and the inclusive planning is selectively applied, more and more persons are forced to survive on the streets, and that is imposed by the rudimentary administration and slow inter-country coordination. Before leaving our homeland, our universe, we study interculturality, your languages, colonialism, we watch movies, listen to music, and simply want a better life. When the economic and political environment is collapsing, immigration is just a desperate solution.Ready to travel means for us that we will have to be so prepared that even if we might be robbed and lose everything, the richest part of our identity and presence is the knowledge.By internalizing the gathered ancient knowledge, in which generations manifest, and languages intersect we manage to survive the systemic discrimination. The access to technology is not available to all of us, communication is being cut on purpose, therefore I use it as long as I can to connect with you.To obtain a roof is not as accessible for everybody, even if the laws are saying it should, nor is it to work in decent conditions, or to benefit from social attention, in emergency cases; therefore, many of the most prepared migrants are left unattended, in a grotesque live show of dehumanization, similar to the human zoo.Once left on the street, at the intersection of different countries, you´ll be hunted at every corner. Human traffic, wars, crimes, and prostitution are connected, a chain of parasitic business so flashy that it disturbs the senses, makes the spectrum howl in one voice, which means easy to bring down to pieces.

    Masked Women Blue

Trapped by the patriarchy, women specialized in wearing masks to defend themselves, adapting constantly to social demands.Until recently, nobody asked who they are deep inside, or whether they live a fulfilling life; we assumed that once someone "takes care of them" and has a family, they should simply be happy.Until recently, a woman kissing another woman was a systemic offense, when in fact, once compared to the options, it is the best you can do.Until recently, women were hiding; some still do.Until recently, women were silenced, sold, and robbed of identity, and that´s the truth.Until recently, women were asked to love, to give constantly, and shamed when feeling blue.We play the background, the secondary character, but control the birth and beat, may I remind you!Transmitted knowledge, masked textile patterns from the past, confronting gaze towards the conflictual present, emphatic warriors for justice and truth.

Umbra Feminista pe o Scara de Beton

Women are despised, used, mutilated, and killed often, soldiers of the quotidian. Many incult cultures do not understand women´s nature and blame us for existing, unaware that if we are not here, neither are they.If we fight for women's autonomy, we can prevent this systemic injustice.Feminism is important! It´s a life and death situation. Not only do women join the fight, but anyone with basic common sense does. As many as better!

  18. 151

  19. 150

    Stop Misogyny Install Equity

Correct your books and mindsets to equity, as women are not at all inferior as presented. We can't go on with manipulation and call it love. We need an environment in which we can develop, and that means feeling equal.

  20. 149

    Feminism is Important

Too many women are still lost in trafficking, and if we fight for women´s autonomy we can prevent this systemic injustice.

  21. 148

    Watermelon Umbrellas and Traveler Patterns

Uprooted from their homeland, refugees remain people with specific needs, including the need to develop, which is also a right to be satisfied. For women who have never had adequate access to education, this can be a turning point, as access to education and a sense of equality bring us peace of mind.We want peace! We want a home!International conflicts are leaving people without a roof. Until peace is restored, the refuge is the others.Women support women! When there is a conflict, domestic or international, we react with class and care.

  22. 147

    Window from the Underground

The occurrence of people you get to meet, as an immigrant, who do not have a roof or who pay rent for a precarious room, is enormous, besides the refugee part. The lack of care dynamics is bizarre, socially speaking. It´s in our development planning, as a right to feel protected; so, having a roof is just the basics.People all over the world are dreaming of a place to stay, dissociated from the classic development planning, and probably skipped from the start.Art makes us dream, and that´s a lot when what you have is constant discrimination.

  23. 146

    Street Olympics for Equity -

It is assumed that learning takes you far and that education is a common right, but an unsustainable development process, without continuity, in a corrupt system, instead of preparing and including, it demands sacrifices. Not all of us will put on wigs to please; it´s in vain insisting. The right to education and training, then to have a career and access to a job, are serious, untouchable human rights. Before I left Cluj, I received a flyer on the street. They were looking for foreign language speakers to do an international video chat. After that, I immediately left the country. Business with women is not a post-university opportunity, after a lifetime of learning… Enormous investments are made in our education, and it is remarkably offensive what the labor market prepares for us. With such dynamics, the social realm does not deserve our feminine presence or any future.Women need support towards autonomy because they are responsible for the new generations, and implicitly, they protect. Taking advantage of women, not ensuring their rights, and talking about empty opportunities without active planning only puts our lives in danger. We may be athletic, but not all of us want to impress you with a pole dance. Let's show you our degrees and what we can do, intellectually speaking.

She Migrator and the IT Companies

The last ¨job opportunity¨ in IT, for a company that makes itself publicity of supporting women in tech, was no opportunity for me, but a let´s say opportunity to offend and discriminate for different important persons of the company, who are still there. In my last interaction, where in a group meeting, specially made to discuss operational issues and procedures, I have asked if I can communicate in Romanian with the Romanian clients, knowing that this was already an issue in many companies, to the level of not having the permission to sign in Romanian an email, even if the signature had all European languages in it, just skip this one. My question disturbed me to the level that I was called stupid in front of everyone, and fired after, with the reason of disturbing. The manager who insulted and fired me never launched the formation process, just put me to work directly, after a few days of no coordinated formation, based on other colleagues' teachings, while working...My guess is that the manager had no idea how to launch a training procedure, and I could have shown him how to do it, as I had already showed others managers how to handle the procedure. There is nothing easier, clearer than what a manager has to do, all written down, step by step, in any data knowledge and management system. So, here I am, I have managed to jump into another year dehumanized and with no perspectives, yet I´m alive, despite the declared desire of some Mango shitty colleague that asked me if I´m going to jump out of the window one day, just for the love of the conversation, and he was protected afterwards...Working for this fashion company was as undesirable as possible, from many points of view.In present, each day I´m searching and applying to Mediation, Customer Service and Troubleshooting jobs, or to any job that is related to my studies, only that those are difficult to access, due to the local exclusion layers, and also I check for jobs as a cook, as I have a diploma, experience in it, and have spend the last months cooking for a group of people. If someone offers me a job, I don´t refuse it, I´m used to work from construction, carpentry, cleaning, and agriculture. The worst thing that can happen to me is already happening, and that´s not being coordinated in a continuous activity.Besides the extra energy issues, health matters derived from the lack of work opportunities, losing autonomy, are tormenting, as it means constant fear that basic needs, like paying the bills, are not possible anymore. The idea of having a family, or that a woman has the right to dream of having a child, is totally shot down by the lack of work stability. From where I am standing, my whole interest and effort go to sustain the society, and my skills show an immense will to integrate into any European system and department. Why is there no inclusive planning for people like me?

    Silent since September 2nd part

On the first day, I was ignored, and since the job was far away, in a polygon that smelled like pig manure, the whole situation made it difficult for me to go back. I would have renounced at the moment, but accessing a job was difficult in the last months, and I didn´t have much choice, so I put myself through hell, as by now I had a cat to make happy, and myself I was already too slim and needed to eat properly, and take care of this small body. It´s been more than 3 months, and only now can I write about what happened. I was in shock for a long time, disgusted, left without energy of reaction, as the discrimination keeps repeating, and it affects a simple life to the core.I had my meals mainly in the underground eating room, with other external workers and immigrants, as it seemed safer for us, quieter, and in a certain sense, our place. The integration was just decorative; the whole atmosphere became a little too heavy for immigrants who were badly seen from the start, because of their appearance or ethnicity, and we enjoyed eating together, mainly because each was an incredible character, but the interculturality made every minute charged with curiosity and interesting conversations. The IT and sales companies here have access to geniuses, who you can find eating on an underground floor, working like 5, multilingual, fast brains, and usually super creative. For someone trained as an Inclusive Specialist, like me, the interaction here is priceless. Barcelona area somehow is attracting the top of neurodiversity, which is fascinating to meet, but they are used at max.In 5 months, losing 8 kg, even if you are trying to take care of yourself, is a classic; others develop the reverse eating disorder, or diseases are activated based on fatigue and mistreatment. Colleagues dying at work, diagnosed too late, or committing suicide are a reality in these companies, but the dynamics are toxic, and the workers are abused by the lack of coordination, systemic discrimination, and corrupt management. The lack of work stability is making many victims, especially among migrant workers, whose rights are being ignored; they are unpaid, used as much as possible, and maintained in tension. Nevertheless, the same treatment applies to atypical individuals of Spanish origins or relocated persons. There is this obvious attitude of closed doors, after using the new ones, a very creepy labor system.Anyway, it´s been 3 months since I was fired, and just now I can write about it. The experience traumatized me to the point of losing my voice, as sadness can do such a thing. I have spent the last few months searching and applying in vain. Even if I´m interested in working in almost anything, and have a lot of skills, nobody sees me. The point of fearing for not having a roof or not affording a meal is here, and there is nowhere I can ask for help. The designated institutions, from the consulate to social services, organizations, and the bank that makes herself publicity of supporting women.

    Silent since September

Too many qualified individuals are left stranded by the bureaucratic systems of two or more countries after decades of struggle and closed doors. My life is not my own, it´s a social support matter at this point, and serious closed communication. I have too many diplomas at hand, and I know way too many programs to be unseen, yet I´m invisible to the recruiters and ghosted constantly. There is no formation possible for me, as I´m overqualified; therefore, there´s no support whatsoever for those who have studied all their life like me, yet the constant experience I have is xenophobic reactions at each job or when approaching an institution. I could say that until inclusion planning is applied for people like me, we are out of the system, and it´s a system of discrimination that can be contemplated when checking my CV.A lot of talking about women in technology, but the sad reality is that I saw only 2 women across all the offices, including external workers, in the company that recruited me. As always, in such a job, I was selected for speaking 3 main European languages, therefore to sustain at least 3 markets. I was employed as an external contractor and sent to a company that was about to utilize my services, time, and especially my knowledge, in another town. The company I was directly working for, which sustained its online fashion business, hired me to cover User Account Support and Ticketing incidents in three languages. However, I was informed that the preferred working manner was to respond to each client in their preferred language, whenever possible. For good reasons, instead of training me, the company started asking me to handle incidents from all over the world. Among these incidents, there were a few from Romania and Moldova, and some more from Romanian-speaking shop owners. Their requests were handled in all possible languages, with a preference for French, Italian, English, Spanish, and Russian, but not Romanian.I was a Romanian recruited to sustain businesses all over the world, and to show respect to the clients I´m interacting with, in their own language, except for my native language speakers, and this has kept happening in the last 10 years.Who hired me told me that I was actually replacing another Romanian, French speaker, who was fired in a very bad way, after working for years for the company. In a few days, I had heard different versions of the story. Apparently, the woman I was substituting was accused of robbery and disappeared at once, without saying goodbye. Her colleagues had different versions of the items she might have stolen; some said a dress, others a tablet.I´ve trembled. This situation was not new for me. Whilst I was working in England, in a warehouse, a Romanian was accused of stealing a 3 pounds memory stick, and for this we all received less work. The agencies that contracted us were only programming 3 days of work per week, or we used to have the week full, 7 days from 7, with extra shifts. The lack of dedicated work, as a group punishment method, affected the level of what you would gain from paying rent and utilities. I knew that replacing a Romanian accused of stealing was a delicate situation for me, even if I´m not attracted to material stuff, but in recent years, strange things have happened. I felt in danger. Mr. Tiberiu

I have asked Mr. Tiberiu what happened and why he is on the streets. He started explaining in Spanish, then I realized, while speaking, that his facial characteristics are familiar. He has the name of my adoptive grandfather and a similar dark skin tone. In Romania, we are delivered in different skin tonalities.Mr. Tiberiu is from a rural area near Aiud, Transilvania. He arrived in Spain, specifically in Catalunya, 16 years ago. Initially, he came with his wife, but life took a turn, and he found himself alone, at one point, without work. He is now working wherever he can, primarily in recycling. He received no help in these years, and reactualizing his papers seems impossible, and I know that the challenge is real. It´s impossible to access basic rights like paper reactualization, changing an address, or scheduling an official processing, which became only feasible with external help, paying others, or, if lucky, just giving your personal details to 3rd individuals or groups, which, according to GDPR rules and personal data protection legislation, should never occur. In desperation, Mr. Tiberiu asked for help in different places, but was refused, even mocked when he was trying to explain his situation. He is a mechanic who was trained and worked for years as a specialist mechanic, and speaks 3 languages: Romanian, Hungarian, and Spanish. No formation or guidance towards work opportunities based on his knowledge was initiated for him, in all this time. Nobody from those in charge approached to offer support of some kind, or a jacket, a blanket, something during all the cold weather emergency, even though he is situated on a central street, totally visible. His repetitive attempts to approach the social services were redirected towards scheduling and reactualizing a basic documentation, which he cannot schedule due to the insufficiency of the system, and has no money to pay 3rd parties to solve his papers; therefore is totally blocked and forced to beg, as he does not want to steal. With the Catalan support system closed doors, he tried to approach the Romanian system, but once we pay taxes in Spain, in the other country, they do not care about us, as the responsibility goes where you have paid taxes.Mr. Tiberiu is a mechanic of heavy machinery, plus a person from rural Transilvania, who speaks 3 languages, which for me is a lot of knowledge. In the rural areas from where he is, the basic knowledge goes from construction, to preservation, and constant invention, and this is a personality interested and developed in mechanics. You cannot imagine the skills and potential this means. Overspecialized in so many domains that being unable to find a formation and include such a connoisseur in the society is quite strange.Mr. Tiberiu needs help. He needs a representative, a lawyer. Like many others, I included the basic bureaucracy being inaccessible and closed doors when asking for support, even access problems at the emergency room make life a calvary, that enchains you. No possibility to move. If you reach an institution dedicated to support, they send you home, or where is that home? If for more than a decade you have been in the same area as those sending you home, and for sure, you have been paying more even for a bottle of water.Between Spain and Romania, there is a bureaucratic ping-pong on social cases. The support is slim or nonexistent, even though the work abuse cases and human trafficking cases are significant. We are people too, people who worked in different countries, and for more than 10 years in each of them. You cannot just send us home from one border to another, and pretend we are invisible, and when we show up to explain the situation, imply we are stupid.

    Train Station by Night

One of the people with no roof I had the pleasure of speaking with, Mr. Sergei, explained how he came to Barcelona from Eastern Europe to work, encouraged by acquaintances. When he arrived, no one was waiting for him at the station, and no one answered their phone, so he waited at the train station. He waited for days, weeks, months; none of his friends looked for him, nor did any social support staff ask if he was alright during all that time. At that point, he didn't speak Spanish, and with the 3 Eastern European languages he knew, he had no way of communicating what had happened to him. He tried, for months, to make himself understood, in despair, but in vain. He even said some words in German at one point, yet nothing. Now, Mr. Sergei is telling all this story in Castellano; he also understands Catalan, yet he´s been on the streets for years, and there are no visible signs of social inclusiveness. When people find themselves in a difficult situation, such as being lost in another country, they seek help in city centers, but they remain invisible; they are avoided. They are approached to be expelled or insulted, but not necessarily to be helped.Public transportation is essential to the city's dynamics, as workers rely on it, and its stations are already international hubs by default. In winter, they miss having hot drinks available, and at least soup, showers, and, of course, a safe place to live, since refugees and migrants from all over the world arrive here, and plans from home don't always go as expected, or they are obliged to wait for documentation for a long time, even years. The transportation system must participate in the fight against human trafficking, and for this reason, I urge any administration to consider creating and maintaining a social services department in each major station, staffed by incorruptible individuals who can coordinate and sustain human rights.

    The Impossibility of Communication

The holidays have passed, no attention to the case whatsoever, no phone yet, as it doesn´t rain with phones, no jacket either, or food, or a tent...Ous survived the worst part of the winter, that took various lives around, but he survived out of pure self-control and adaptation to conditions that are worse than prisión conditions as there is no bed to sleep on, no food each day, no basics that a person needs, the Catalonian survival is similar to being in an open war, and these days the racist attack did not missed the occasion, as for a black person even to walk the street in front of the clubs at the beach it´s dangerous, in Barcelona 2026.After repeatedly asking for help, a person was left in the impossibility of communication, and all the doors remained closed, in the cold season, which means, administratively speaking, that the emergency plan was not activated, or if it was, it was not applied. The lack of organizing things even in sOus was physically abused more than once in 3 months, when he was asking desperately for help. The types of aggression are not just verbal; those are daily occurrences, and people just pass by offending. If in doubt, have a walk with him and observe it. I have calculated 5 offenses in 10 min of walking on a central street. Besides verbal offenses, Ous is always in danger when simply walking. A few days back, he was beaten and sprayed for passing by in front of a well-known club, in the beach area. The security guards did not like his presence and beat him.My question is, what kind of security is that that is aggressing people? What is a guard? What is security? What is protection? Why in the touristic beach area are racists working? Why are the institutions and businesses topped with such problematic individuals, and how soon will they be losing their jobs?Justice and human rights are the supreme forces of our interactions. It might seem from a bully's position that by imposing violence and a lack of care, we are dominant, but it´s quite the reverse.Attacking innocent people, as well as putting them at risk, is inhuman. In a social context, we live under different rules.

It´s January 2026. It´s cold, and people are freezing. I´m writing this because it´s a real situation that needs to change. I cannot observe how people are just freezing, so I take them hot tea, warm food, home-made soup, as much as I can, to bring a little comfort.Being outside, in the cold, without a roof, reduces all possibilities of taking care of yourself, and survival depends on creativity and continuous adaptation.I sip from the tea with my friends. They compliment the soup, which warms them up, and the Transilvanian pies, which I managed to bake at minimum of budget. I´m amazed by their resistance and tranquility, how they use humor to overcome the slightest difficulty, how they wash the clothes with their hands, and try to maintain hygiene, even in such a situation. To resist, they use auto-regulation techniques like praying, meditation, exercise, reading, or dancing. The amount of effort on an empty stomach is gigantic. Each of them needs constant food to recuperate; they are underweight as a consequence of the imposed poverty, but nobody cares. For each of them, someone is responsible for taking care of them, yet it's just me checking if they are fine for the past 2 months. The skills most migrants have are impressive. The mental strength is admirable, the culture is absolutely interesting, and yet they are mainly told they do not count, or even called stupid or crazy, as it happened in the last 2 months while searching for help. What I see happening in Spain, Catalunya, where I have observed the migration phenomenon around international conflicts, is a very dangerous lack of seriousness. This is not any place; it is a place where immigrants all over the world are intersecting. The people arriving here have each a story to make a film or series about; they are survivors, yet have to face systemic racism and xenophobia. The social support, terribly coordinated and corrupt, results in imposed vulnerability. Each inadequate response to a cry for help is a criminal act.For years, I have written about what´s happening and how institutional racism is manifesting. Once more, the issue persists, even if the year has changed. This is an open call for action. As adults, we don´t play with human rights; we apply them!

A cup of herbal tea for Collective Memory 1

Our loved ones are dying, while we suffer in silence and distance, trapped between human trafficking and a closed migration bureaucracy. In the meantime, we are asked to wait, ignored, lied to, or offended. Some wait for years, in vain, as the life of an immigrant is not just an individual life; it´s mediated, coordinated. To reach any type of social service, from food to clothing, a shower program, or formation, an immigrant doesn´t function independently. From the start, there is a social integration protocol. The issues that persist and endanger people´s life is the protocol not being activated or pursued, and the inclusion plan not adapted to the individual, or as it happens, the lack of functional guidance. All these aspects and social care characteristics unmet are criminal acts.People do not freeze to death out of pleasure or intent. Each of these cases is a systemic failure, and as observed in the last years´ dynamics, the systemic racism, and I can add the systemic xenophobia, take lifes. Development is stopped, basic needs unmet, and asking for help in an emergency leads to spending money you do not have, and invitations to break the law, such as having a free meal in another town, therefore to use the train without paying the ticket. If you are extremely cold and hungry, in the same spot for years, ignored by your social workers, who keep changing, nobody is approaching, but to observe and criticize you, as you do not have a personal space, and any creep can observe you as they please. Some will verbally attack, others physically. Your things are at their spontaneous rage and disposal. In the meantime, you are asked to wait or redirected indefinitely, offended even.I have shared from my food, reorganizing the low budget I have since last year, and observed the dynamics around how refugees and immigrants, who arrive here usually after being trafficked, are treated. I had hoped that during the many holidays and presents sharing ceremonies, the people without a roof, placed in the city, all over it, would be approached, and at least a basic intent of helping them face the cold of winter outside would be shown, but nothing. Some, even if they try for months, don´t get help, or on a list of support, at least with food, a sleeping bag, and a tent. For many, too many of these people's survival depends on the few citizens. Yet, how absurd this is…

    Festive Survival

It rains constantly, and under the winter cold, people were evacuated or simply sent to "survive," knowing they are by all means unwelcome. Such a measure is contra-indicated in any spiritual book and in any social strategy. But what do we know about the protocol of treating the travelers, new arrivals, immigrants? Well, since the dawn of times, all stories and songs have presented the issue, and the secret is being inclusive, in any of the teachings ever formed. Nobody encourages to exclude the people, to throw them out, or to dehumanize your kind. If supremacy ideas form, that's a teaching problem.Spirituality, regardless of its category or region, is directly connected to protecting both human rights and the ecology. Maybe not all religions have it clear, as in the process they have been copying each other, and forgot why, but for sure, it has already written that one cannot meet spiritual evolution by hating or harming others. So why is the contemporary world, the media, and politics full of hate speech and group manifestations against other humans, and contrary to any form of spirituality? When opinions against life get to form and manifest repeatedly, without repercussions, exactly in a moment of crisis, it reflects the processing capacity and level of education a society has.Can a racist, xenophobe, misogynist, homophobe, and ableist get to heaven? All books confirm negative, so please stop your politicians from using spiritual books for image, when their direct activity, and social implication is assuring hell.I don´t know what Santa had on the list for those manifesting hate these days, but mental health support and common sense are needed for entire groups of people. Those who hide behind the teachings of a book, without understanding its content, need support in acquiring knowledge.

    Corruption devours the Public Toilets

Corruption is so rampant in large cities that even public restrooms have disappeared. It's a European phenomenon with terrible olfactory repercussions.Big cities smell like urine, and we pay to have access to a toilet that is not even necessarily clean.Humans drink, eat, and need toilet access. It's a basic human need. Depending on the city's population, inclusive planning and proactive urban health measures should be considered. On a small street where I used to work, many years ago, in the morning, when opening the restaurant, at first hour, the entrance and the street looked and smelled like a toilet. In tourist and busy areas, corruption is plain to see; it's unhygienic. In one of the central bus stations, there's no designated handwashing station, and in another, access to the restroom requires payment.Stop Corruption!Everyone needs toilet access. It's not optional!

    Amazonas

There are places of beauty, where rivers are passing in their travel, then intersect and make their way to the sea, to the ocean. In those places, people to this day coexist with nature, where nature remains. Many of those places of abundance were corrupted or even destroyed by mining, farming, agricultural exploitation, industrialization, and now the fashion industry, which uses them as trash bins. When nature was marginalized, seen as something parallel to our existence, we began to pollute the waters and endanger species.

    Meme o Memo

What´s memory? What´s language? Are words unnecessary?I just checked which memes related to memory and language are being used on two well-known platforms:Memes about forgetting are the most common memory-related memesand¨Mind your, language¨ is the most used expressionThe vocabulary used online and conceptual comprehension are extremely poor in English and Spanish. We don't live, express, or coordinate without language and memory, so this affects us all.Degenerative processing is present in every developmental plan. The implications of memory and language are considerable, and if language is not stimulated, memory begins to lose information. Traumatic events can lead to memory loss, and the overlapping of language systems, without adequate transfer, can create a memory and language blockage.Neurodegenerative affections are mainly age-related, but not only.Seeing that ageism and ableism issues are increasing, I wonder if we are capable of supporting those loved ones, or anyone confronting a degenerative condition when the time comes, or if we are going to complicate even more memory processing because the language we mainly use is a bullying type, therefore, dangerous to health and memory? The theory of reactivating past episodes and how our brain controls the times we are using is based on literature, on Marcel Proust's description of eating a cookie, and the culinary journey, the time travel which shows in just a few pages how affective memory works when stimulated with comfort food.My memory works with salted pies and now probably with tapas, if someone wishes to stimulate me at one point. The cookie was Proust´s thing.Which one is yours?During our lives, we tend to look for the simple things we love, as they make us feel great. Having the chance to enjoy those little things brings comfort, and comfort is good for mental health.

Poetry in The Garden with Adrian Pic

Water, waters…everything is welcome in the universe of watereverything becomes depersonalizedall contradictions dissolveonly oil remains alienform is the great enemy of waterequalizing and standardizing watersadvancing toward marine unitymassthe sea: the consumptionI went into the garden to relax by reading poems from a 2001 poetry magazine I had at home. It's called La alegria de los naufragios (The Joy of the Shipwrecked), published in Madrid.By chance, I ran into a Romanian-born author, a poet-lawyer, whom I didn't know: Adrian Pic, a painter, art theorist, and poet who settled in Barcelona after fleeing interwar Romania to escape anti-semitic, fascist, and then pseudo-communist persecution. He lived for a time in Paris and was friends with Brâncuşi and other surviving migrant intellectuals. He wrote poetry and essays in French, then moved to Barcelona, guided by Pau Casals, a musician friend, to pursue the same approach: art theory, poetry, abstract painting, and minimalism.Pic managed to be a minimalist, like many others, until his art met AI, to make a technological joke. Minimalism in writing, the abstraction of language allows the writer to change the phrasing and challenge grammatical rigidity. There is an entire associated theory and poetic interwar manifesto, which I´m expecting the artificial intelligence to get, and not change the small letter to an upper case letter, when the content of the text is minimalist flow.I used to do book proofreading for Dacia Publishing House, with Romanian, specialized in poetry, and I´m insisting that the text remains as the author intended it to be. The form is a part of the manifesto. The poet has total power and control over the esthetics of the writing, its own style, and can challenge as might please the formal language. Therefore, changing a poetic text that starts with small letters into upper case letters, in the obsession of being grammatically correct, is absolutely unacceptable in universal poetry, and considered rigid thinking, opposite to what art implies.Poetry and sound are connected, and Adrian Pic had a vivid interest in music. The influence of Mediterranean culture and sound stands out in his works. He wrote "L'univers sonore" (The Universe of Sound) in 1955 and collaborated with Josep Mestres Quadreny, who composed music based on Pic's minimalist painting. The art and literature of the interwar and postwar periods were an international effort, a collaboration among survivors, aimed at overcoming the trauma caused by conflicts and genocide.Survivors from around the world united in a common rhythm. What is happening today was never meant to happen again.Poetic language is not optional. It is the most complex version of understanding and creation. By understanding the emotions of others and being able to express our own, we become stronger, more united, and more effective because we no longer struggle in vain.

    Levitation with Bread

Colonialist countries, do your job, and educate your people. Slavery was abolished. We are engaged in a new plan centered on equity, and your countries have a lot of work to do to rectify the social inequity formed by misjudged ideas and superficial impressions. The first thing to do, if you have international contracts and receive workers from all over the world, to help you maintain a proper lifestyle, is to ensure that the people receiving the workers are educated and can interact properly. Some of the bosses still behave like slave owners, and that should not be the workers' problem, as it's a mental health issue at the social level. Any worker interacting with a slave owner mentality is in danger, besides not being respected. Stop abuse!Immigrant workers are already paid the minimum wage or under minimum, as this is how the working abroad works. The least the host country could do is to make sure those people are respected. We work abroad in inhuman conditions and are surrounded by hate and instability. This should stop, and it is an emergency situation.Entire societies have a comfortable life with the help of others, and without them, frying an egg seems difficult. It's not easy to imagine colonialist populations working in agriculture or a kitchen without air-conditioning, food, and breaks, but let's hope they can. Who yells "migrants go home" usually is an owner and is renting flats as a job, totally depending on foreigners, whether from other countries or other regions. Those particular people need educational and mental health support. Besides local issues, those managers that are profoundly xenophobic, in international business, like so many I had the unpleasure of working with, have no place among the people, and by all means, regardless of their technical skills, are not suited to coordinate groups.Colonialism effects are still visible. Lower those effects, make them disappear, and, in the meantime, provide justice for the workers. We are not puppets. We are not here to be offended, and we have rights. Inclusion matters, and so does respecting the people working for you or interacting with you. It's August. Who do you think is working out there to serve you while enjoying your vacations?

    Procesul

Tratand muncitorii emigranti ca pe niste intrusi, pe propria cheltuiala si efort multiplicat, jignindu-i in mod constant si blocandu-le orice acces bazic, in zilele noastre, cand suntem obligati sa includem nu-i cea mai buna afacere...suntem tratati execrabil. Tre´ negociat!
