In this week’s episode of Misfit Confidential Radio, the fearless Angel Truesdale joined me in the studio to discuss Black women in film and everything #BlackGirlMagic. Angel is currently hosting a film series titled Scenes of a Black Woman at the Main branch of Charlotte Mecklenburg Library every first Friday of the month. This series is so important because it explores films about black women that are made by black filmmakers. It was a true privilege to sit with Ms. Truesdale, and she gave a thorough response as to why the proper representation of Black women in film is so vital to our society as a whole.
