Bus driver fired over “Lolita Line” outfit

This week on Off the Record, a male school bus driver was fired after wearing a Japanese-style schoolgirl outfit on the job with a sign calling his bus route the “Lolita Line.” Ontario Premier Doug Ford called for Canada to adopt a U.S.-style “castle law” and slammed the federal bail system after an attempted carjacking at his home. Conservative MP Andrew Lawton exposed the Liberal government for adjourning the justice committee in under 30 minutes without discussing crime or bail reform. And the Canadian Taxpayers Federation revealed Calgary spent $65,000 on an art project that lets people phone the Bow River, even though the number doesn’t work. Most finance ministers fail taxpayer report card | Off The Record

This week on Off The Record, the Canadian Taxpayers Federation releases its annual report card—and most provincial finance ministers flunk.  The federal NDP hits its lowest support in years, with new polling suggesting Canada is creeping closer to a two-party nation. Meanwhile, Canada’s Chief Justice issued politically charged comments about Donald Trump, raising concerns over the neutrality of the Supreme Court. Plus, closing arguments in the Hockey Canada sexual assault trial have wrapped up, with True North’s Alex Zoltan in court over the last few days sharing his expectations as the trial concludes. Ford gushes over Carney as pipeline plans crumble

This week on Off The Record, Ontario Premier Doug Ford  praised Prime Minister Mark Carney, calling him "Santa Claus" after the First Ministers’ meeting. B.C. Premier David Eby later threw cold water on Alberta’s hopes for a pipeline through B.C., shattering the consensus among premiers only a day later. Ford’s praise came despite rising U.S. tariffs on Canadian aluminum and steel, which are set to hammer Ontario manufacturers. Ford’s government also faces a $14.7-billion deficit, raising questions about his fiscal credibility as a self-described conservative. In Ottawa, Carney’s government suffered its first defeat as Parliament passed a Conservative motion demanding a spring budget. The non-binding motion underscores growing opposition to Carney’s plan to add $225 billion to the federal debt over four years — even more than Trudeau was set to spend. Meanwhile, Air Canada faced backlash over promoting its first all-LGBTQ flight. The airline had to disable comments on its post after widespread criticism that identity politics are being prioritized over basic service and safety. Finally, a True North exclusive revealed that an Ontario school board trained staff that the term “family” is “harmful” and “racist.” The training sparked outrage over the spread of divisive critical race theory in Canadian schools. Trump’s Choice for Canada’s Prime Minister

This week on Off The Record, US President Donald Trump went on the Laura Ingraham show and said he would “rather deal with a Liberal.” Pierre Poilievre doubles down on axing the carbon tax while Mark Carney remains evasive about his own carbon tax agenda. The automaker Tesla has been barred from the Vancouver Auto Show after a rash of protests and vandalism across Canada and the United States. And NDP politicians recently enjoyed $57 sandwiches during an B.C. NDP political event. What could possibly be in them? Join guest host Kris Sims, Isaac Lamoureux, and Alex Zoltan for these stories and more on this week’s Off The Record!

    Carney's cringe factory tour

Canada’s new Prime Minister, Mark Carney, held a press conference at a steel mill awkwardly donning a hard hat—without any workers present. He also took no questions from reporters, quickly leaving the scene. It's a common occurrence for Carney, who has not allowed independent media at his events, with True North being barred from several. Meanwhile, Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre held a press conference where he scrutinized Carney’s record, highlighting past controversies and misleading statements. Poilievre accused Carney of "selling out Canada." Amid the ongoing tariff dispute, provincial premiers have taken the lead in the absence of the federal government. Ontario Premier Doug Ford initially clashed with U.S. President Donald Trump over electricity tariffs but later backed down. At UBC Okanagan, the student union denied the formation of a Conservative club, despite allowing a Liberal Party of Canada club to exist. The union cited concerns that Conservative views on the Black and LGBTQ communities made students feel "excluded or unwelcome" but failed to provide specific examples. All this and more on Off the Record with Cosmin Dzsurdzsa, Noah Jarvis, and Isaac Lamoureux!

    The Tariff War Begins

Retaliatory tariffs imposed by Canada on the U.S. might cause more economic damage to Canadians than Americans. The trade war has also evolved into a war of words as Prime Minister Justin Trudeau called U.S. President Donald Trump’s tactics a “very dumb thing to do.” The Liberal Party of Canada’s leadership election will end on Sunday Mar. 9 and Mark Carney is the expected winner. His victory will also make him the next prime minister of Canada. And the Trudeau carbon tax will be hiked by 20 per cent on Apr. 1. Backbench MPs will also get around a $6,000 raise and the prime minister will get an approximately $16,000 raise on Apr. 1 as well. It seems this year the only April fools will be Canadians taxpayers footing the bill. These stories and more on Off the Record with guest host Kris Sims, Noah Jarvis, and Isaac Lamoureux!

How does Carney really feel about the carbon tax?

Mark Carney has all but abandoned a significant pillar of carbon pricing in his bid to become the next leader of the Liberal Party of Canada, but Carney also once tried to convince the world to adopt carbon taxes. How does he really feel about this unpopular tax? Plus, as the DOGE reveals some of the most outrageous examples of government waste, Canadians are starting to wonder where exactly are our taxpayer dollars are going. And a surge in Canadian pride is taking place across the country due to the threat of U.S. tariffs. These stories and more on Off the Record with Kris Sims, Isaac Lamoureux and Cosmin Dzsurdzsa!

What exactly does Jagmeet Singh want?

Is he going to prop up the government again in order to “support workers?” Or is he going to force an election in the spring? It’s becoming increasingly unclear what NDP leader Jagmeet Singh wants. Could Singh’s theatrics have anything to do with his gold-plated pension? Plus, after months of politicians telling Canadians of alleged traitors in Parliament, the foreign interference inquiry released its long-awaited final report, concluding there was no evidence that anybody “acted in bad faith.” What is happening? And Ontario residents will head to the polls in February, but why did Doug Ford call an early election? Despite already having a majority, Ford claims he needs a “stronger mandate” to fight U.S. tariffs. Tune into Off the Record with Rachel Parker, Isaac Lamoureux and Cosmin Dzsurdzsa!

    Does the U.S. need Canada?

President Trump doubled down on his criticism of Canada this week, arguing that the U.S. doesn’t need Canadian oil, auto or lumber. He said if Canada becomes the 51st state, it wouldn’t face tariffs. Does the U.S. need Canada? Plus, Pierre Poilievre weighed in on the gender debate and says there’s only two genders. Meanwhile, Jagmeet Singh wants Canada to provide refuge for trans individuals from the U.S. And Steven Guilbeault has endorsed Mark Carney for Liberal leader and seems to be backing down on the carbon tax after years of defending the tax a the only viable climate plan. These stories and more on Off the Record with Isaac Lamoureux, Cosmin Dzsurdzsa and Rachel Parker!

Will Canada survive the Trump tariffs?

It’s only a matter of days before President Donald Trump is inaugurated and the threat of U.S. tariffs on Canadian products is becoming more real. Meanwhile, the Trudeau government is in the midst of a leadership change and Alberta isn’t buying into Prime Minister Trudeau’s “Team Canada approach.” Does Canada even have a plan? How will we respond? Plus, former Bank of Canada governor Mark Carney threw his hat in the ring to replace Trudeau as Liberal leader. This is the same guy who told a crowd at the World Economic Forum that he identifies as a European. And Conservative Party of British Columbia Leader John Rustad announced his party has discovered alleged voting irregularities in one of the 2024 provincial election’s closest ridings – Surrey-Guildford. The BC NDP won the riding by a margin of just 22 votes after a judicial recount. These stories and more on Off the Record with Isaac Lamoureux, Cosmin Dzsurdzsa and Noah Jarvis!

Trudeau bails at a critical moment for Canada

Canadians entered 2025 with the breaking news of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's plans to resign, sparking widespread reactions from politicians across the political spectrum. As Trudeau prepares to step down, the Liberal Party of Canada is gearing up for a leadership race to choose his successor. Donald Trump's threats to annex Canada and impose looming 25% tariffs dominated headlines, raising concerns as the country faces a leadership vacuum and lacks a voice at the negotiating table. In other news, Ottawa has unveiled a new plan to combat climate change: banning vehicle idling year-round, with significant fines for offenders. Tune in to Off the Record with guest host Kris Sims, alongside Isaac Lamoureux and Cosmin Dzsurdzsa.

2024 was full of naughty politicians

A number of politicians in Canada likely got a lump of coal for Christmas this year. From Calgary Mayor Jyoti Gondek’s various scandals to Prime Minister Justin Trudeau doubling down on the carbon tax, 2024 had no shortage of naughty politicians. But it wasn’t all bad news in 2024 as the rise of the conservative movement was seen in provinces across the country. Tune into Off the Record, guest host Kris Sims, Noah Jarvis and William McBeath.

  13. 45

    Canadians want an election NOW

Canadians are witnessing the fall of Justin Trudeau as even his own MPs are starting to call for his resignation. To make matters worse for Trudeau, latest polling shows an overwhelming majority of Canadians want an election now. Luckily for Trudeau, NDP leader Jagmeet Singh seems to really want his pension. Despite constantly complaining about Trudeau, Singh continues to prop up the government. Of course, to nobody’s surprise, Singh says he will trigger an election in the new year – after he qualifies for his taxpayer-funded pension. Plus, President-elect Trump continues to troll Canada about becoming the “51st state” and some Canadians just can’t seem to take a joke. These stories and more on Off the Record with guest host Kris Sims, William McBeath and Noah Jarvis!

  14. 44

    How low can Trudeau go?

It’s been a heck of a week for Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. First he mocked critics of the carbon tax by claiming only those with mansions and indoor swimming pools feel the effects of the punitive tax. Then he insulted President-elect Donald Trump amid tense trade relations between Canada and the U.S. by strutting his self-proclaimed feminism. Plus, taxpayers are funding the tab for a federal department’s real estate portfolio to the tune of $186 million over the past decade. And Trudeau’s desperate attempt to bounce back in the polls is falling flat with Canadians, with many believing the government’s “tax holiday” and $250 rebate won’t help with the sky-high cost of living and will just add to the federal deficit. Tune into Off the Record with guest host Kris Sims, Noah Jarvis and Isaac Lamoureux!

  15. 43

    How woke is our military?

A True North exclusive revealed that a survey, organized by “anti-hate” researchers at Ontario Tech University, was sent to all Canadian soldiers asking them if they have purchased extremist merchandise such as a ‘Make Canada Great Again’ hat, all in an effort to root out extremists inside the Armed Forces. Should this really be a priority for our military? Is it any wonder there’s a recruitment crisis? Plus, amid dozens of Christian churches in Canada being burned down in recent months, politicians across Canada are finally standing up for Christians. And after a human rights commission fined a rural township for “discrimination” after voting not to recognize June as Pride Month, its mayor is refusing to capitulate to the sanction he called an act of “extortion.” These stories and more on Off the Record with Harrison Faulkner, Isaac Lamoureux and Cosmin Dzsurdzsa.

  16. 42

    This is all Trudeau’s fault

U.S. President-elect Trump’s pledge to impose a 25% tariff on all products from Canada and Mexico has many Canadians on edge. While many want the Trudeau government to address Trump’s concerns, mainly as it relates to our immigration system, one thing is abundantly clear – this is all Justin Trudeau’s fault. Plus, despite concerns from economists and business groups, the Trudeau government is moving forward with its emissions cap on the oil and gas sector. In response, Alberta has invoked the Sovereignty Act. What will happen next? Can’t afford your groceries or heat your home? According to the feds, it’s not because of the country’s lagging economy, but rather a lack of vibes – or as Finance Minister Chrystia Freeland put it –a “vibecession.” Tune into Off the Record with Rachel Parker, Isaac Lamoureux and William McBeath!

  17. 41

Is Trudeau trying to bribe Canadians?

The Liberals have unveiled a two-month GST/HST tax break and a $250 working Canadians payment. Is Justin Trudeau trying to bribe Canadians amid his lagging poll numbers? Wouldn’t it just have been easier to scrap the carbon tax instead? Plus, while at another international junket, Trudeau lectured Canadians about prioritizing paying the carbon tax over feeding your kids. How out of touch is this guy? And the re-elected NDP government in BC unveiled its cabinet earlier this week, showing BC residents that they can expect more of the same radical leftist ideas that have plagued the province for the last few years. These stories and more on Off the Record with guest host Kris Sims, Cosmin Dzsurdzsa and Noah Jarvis!

  18. 40

    Guilbeault wants ANOTHER carbon tax

Hold on to your wallet, folks – Environment Minister Steven Guilbeault is at COP29 and has proposed yet another carbon tax. Guilbeault said the Canadian government is “very supportive” of the concept of creating a new levy on emissions caused by maritime transportation. Here we go again… Plus, the DOGE is coming! President-Elect Trump and X owner Elon Musk have unveiled more details about the Department of Government Efficiency. How will this all work out? And mama mia! A teacher’s union in Ontario is calling for the resignation of a group of four trustees after they spent $50,000 in travel expenses on a trip to Italy over the summer to procure artwork for St. Padre Pio Secondary School in Brantford. These stories and more on Off the Record with guest host Kris Sims, Isaac Lamoureux and William McBeath!

Canadian lefties MELT DOWN after historic Trump win

Donald J. Trump was elected as the 47th US President – and the leftist activists in the media and in politics became unhinged. From a CBC panelist accusing Trump of using “Hitler’s playbook” to Deputy Prime Minister Chrystia Freeland reassuring Canadians that “Canada will be absolutely fine,” the left just can’t handle Trump winning again. Plus, Indian unrest is spreading onto the streets - and not just the streets of Mumbai or Delhi. Canadians just need to travel to Brampton and Surrey to see Hindu and Sikh activists battle it out over a foreign conflict. And Ryerson University (or TMU) backtracks on its racist DEI policy for its medical school after prioritizing only “racialized” or “equity-deserving” applicants. These stories and more with Harrison Faulkner, Cosmin Dzsurdzsa and Isaac Lamoureux!

  20. 38

What is Jagmeet Singh so afraid of?

Despite pulling out of the coalition agreement between the Liberals and the NDP, Jagmeet Singh says he will continue to prop up the government and will not trigger an early election. What is he so afraid of? It’s becoming increasingly clear that it’s not only the Conservatives and Bloc Quebecois that want an election, Canadians do too. Plus, the Canadian Taxpayers Federation revealed that dozens of federal departments have launched podcasts at the expense of taxpayers. Once salary expenses are factored in, these podcasts that nobody listens to have cost taxpayers millions of dollars. And Joe Biden called Trump supporters “garbage.” Did Biden just help seal a win for the Republicans? We make our predictions for the US election! Tune into Off the Record with guest host Kris Sims, Isaac Lamoureux and Noah Jarvis!

  21. 37

How “strong and united” are the Liberals?

Despite an attempt by several Liberal MPs to oust Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, the prime minister insists the Liberal Party is “strong and united.” Is this really the case or is it just a matter of time before Trudeau is gone? Plus, CBC CEO Catherine Tait shows how out of touch she is with Canadians. Appearing in committee this week, Tait defended the millions in bonuses to CBC executives and refused to say if she’ll accept a bonus this year as well. We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again, it’s time to defund the CBC. And the Trudeau government is rolling out a formal Indigenous apology tour at national parks across Canada beginning with the wildfire-ravaged Jasper National Park. These stories and more on Off the Record with guest host Kris Sims, Cosmin Dzsurdzsa and William McBeath!

  22. 36

    Liberal MPs want Trudeau OUT!

Are we witnessing the end of days for the Trudeau government? It certainly seems that way with cabinet ministers announcing they won’t be running again and reports indicating that Liberal MPs plan to call on Prime Minister Justin Trudeau to step down at their next caucus meeting. Despite Trudeau clinging onto the carbon tax, this punitive tax is one of the reasons the Liberals are so unpopular right now. Plus, Trudeau claimed that former and current Conservative officials are implicated in foreign interference. But Pierre Poilievre says Trudeau is “lying.” Who’s telling the truth? Why won’t Trudeau just release the names of the alleged traitors? And is Alberta Premier Danielle Smith’s leadership at risk? United Conservative Party members will have an opportunity to oust Smith at the party’s upcoming annual meeting. These stories and more on Off the Record with guest host Kris Sims, Rachel Parker and Noah Jarvis!

  23. 35

    Trudeau appeased Hamas supporters

This week, House Speaker Greg Fergus censored Conservative leader Pierre Poilievre for a day because Poilievre accused Foreign Affairs Minister Melanie Joly of appeasing supporters of Hamas. Unsurprisingly, Joly demanded an apology – but Canadians just need to look at the government’s actions since the deadly October 7th attack to judge for themselves if the Trudeau government has abandoned Canada’s traditional pro-Israel stance to appease terrorist sympathizers for political purposes. The leader of Hamas certainly thinks so – he even thanked Canada for its public stance. Plus, the BC Conservatives seem to be gaining momentum as voters head to the polls in a little over a week. Leader John Rustad has proposed policies that are resonating with voters, including a push to deport pro-Hamas extremists and lifting the de facto ban on developing nuclear energy. And it’s becoming increasingly clear that it wasn’t climate change that caused the Jasper wildfire, but rather massive incompetence and negligence on the part of the federal government. These stories and more on Off the Record with Harrison Faulkner, Cosmin Dzsurdzsa and Isaac Lamoureux!

  24. 34

Canadians say NO to electric vehicles

In a desperate attempt to reach their unattainable net-zero goals, the Trudeau government wants to ban the sale of new gas and diesel vehicles by 2035. Despite all the corporate handouts by all levels of government, it’s becoming increasingly clear Canadians don’t want to drive electric vehicles. In fact, a new Leger poll commissioned by the Canadian Taxpayers Federation reveals that the majority of Canadians oppose the Trudeau government’s electric vehicle mandate. Plus, the Trudeau Liberals have become so desperate to convince others that the carbon tax is sound policy, two Trudeau government ministers have offered a briefing to NDP leader Jagmeet Singh to once again get his support for the punitive tax that does nothing for the environment while pushing up the cost of living. And the scandal involving Sustainable Development Technology Canada, a green organization founded by the government and accused of funding projects closely tied to its board of directors, continues to worsen. This week, House of Commons Speaker Greg Fergus ruled that the government defied the authority of Parliament by refusing to hand over documents pertaining to the scandal. These stories and more on Off the Record with guest host Kris Sims, Rachel Parker and Noah Jarvis!

  25. 33

CTV News shows its true colours

This week, CTV News was caught red-handed manipulating an interview of Pierre Poilievre to make it look like he wanted to trigger an election over dental care. In reality, Poilievre said he wanted a “carbon tax election.” This shouldn’t come as a surprise for those of us who know the legacy media can’t be trusted to report the truth. Plus, surprise, surprise – the NDP and Bloc propped up the Trudeau Liberals again by voting against the Conservatives’ non-confidence motion, which would have triggered an election. Unsurprisingly, the legacy media would rather talk about a supposed “homophobic remark” made in the House of Commons. And Premier Doug Ford didn’t mince words when talking to the homeless in his province, telling them to “get off your A-S-S” and get a job. Tune into Off the Record with William McBeath, Cosmin Dzsurdzsa and Isaac Lamoureux!

  26. 32

    A carbon tax REVOLT?

Canadians aren’t the only ones sick of the Trudeau government’s carbon tax. Even Jagmeet Singh and David Eby are pulling their support from the punitive tax that does nothing for the environment and has cost Canadians thousands of dollars. But don’t worry – Environment Minister Steven Guilbeault made a cringey video defending the tax… Plus, Jagmeet Singh confronted a protester who appeared to call him a “corrupt bastard,” and NDP MP Charlie Angus says it’s all the Conservatives’ fault. And the Canadian Armed Forces faces their toughest challenge since World War II: missing tampons mandated in men’s washrooms. These stories and more on Off the Record with guest host Kris Sims, Isaac Lamoureux and Cosmin Dzsurdzsa!

Are they actually eating cats and dogs?

Donald Trump and Kamala Harris faced off for the first and possibly last Presidential Debate this week and the most-talked about moment was when Trump accused Haitian migrants of eating cats and dogs. Many users online insist that this is true despite fact checks from various media outlets claiming otherwise. What is happening in Springfield, Ohio? Is this a consequence of leftist mass immigration experiments? Plus, has online gambling taken over the NHL? It certainly seems that way as gambling ads have dominated broadcasts and now, to make matters worse, the Edmonton Oilers announced that player jerseys and helmets would be emblazoned with gambling ads. And after acting tough and pulling out of the coalition agreement with the Liberals, Jagmeet Singh has rejected Pierre Poilievre’s challenge to support a non-confidence vote and trigger an election. These stories and more on Off the Record with Harrison Faulkner, Isaac Lamoureux and Noah Jarvis!

  28. 30

How can it get any worse for Trudeau?

Lagging poll numbers have made Prime Minister Justin Trudeau one of the most disliked prime ministers in Canadian history. But things got significantly worse for Trudeau this past week. First, his political ally Jagmeet Singh broke up the NDP’s coalition agreement with the Liberals. While it still seems like Singh is going to prop up the government for the foreseeable future, the likelihood of an election has increased significantly. Then a group of LGBTQ activists turned their backs on Trudeau, saying he has to step down in order to stop a Poilievre government from being elected. And then Trudeau lost his own national campaign director, who allegedly told the prime minister that he can’t win a fourth term. Tune into Off the Record with guest host Kris Sims, William McBeath and Cosmin Dzsurdzsa!

  29. 29

    The collapse of BC United

This week, BC United leader Kevin Falcon shocked the province by suspending the party’s campaign and endorsing the BC Conservatives. While the collapse of the party was likely caused by Falcon’s own actions, this move may stop the BC NDP from being re-elected in the next election. “We’ll plant 2 billion trees over the next ten years. That’s it. That’s the tweet.” This is what Trudeau tweeted during the 2019 election. And surprise, surprise – the government isn’t anywhere close to fulfilling that promise. Plus, does the Trudeau government want more people to smoke? It certainly seems that way after they banned nicotine pouches from convenience stores and gas stations across the country this week. Tune into Off the Record with Rachel Parker, Isaac Lamoureux and Sue-Ann Levy!

  30. 28

Canada’s state broadcaster is obsessed with Kamala Harris

It’s Kamala-mania over at the CBC! They just can’t get enough of the Democratic Presidential nominee. Despite its mandate to cover Canadian content, a True North exclusive revealed the CBC’s coverage of Harris has been so extensive, it reached a rate of over two stories per day, or 68 stories in the past month. Plus, how “independent” is the Senate actually? Over the weekend, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau appointed one of the loudest critics of Pierre Poilievre and a failed Liberal candidate who donated to the Liberals over 220 times to the upper chamber. And Global Affairs Canada is defending its purchase of a $9 million New York City condo for consul general Tom Clark, who also happens to be a former legacy media reporter. Is this a good use of taxpayers money? Tune into Off the Record with guest host Kris Sims, Harrison Faulkner and Noah Jarvis!

  31. 27

Liberals blame Stephen Harper for everything

An alleged ISIS terrorist entered Canada at some point after 2015, obtained Canadian citizenship and then was apprehended last month for planning a terrorist attack in Toronto. Instead of taking responsibility for this fiasco or even revoking the alleged terrorist’s citizenship, the Trudeau Liberals are – once again – blaming former Prime Minister Stephen Harper. Is anyone surprised by this desperate tactic any more? Plus, despite declining viewership, advertising revenue and mass layoffs, CBC executives believe they deserved $18.4 million in bonuses. It’s no wonder the majority of Canadian taxpayers want to defund the CBC entirely or in part. And shots fired! Governor of Floria Ron DeSantis mocked Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s Stanley Cup record. Tune into Off the Record with Rachel Emmanuel, William McBeath and Isaac Lamoureux!

  32. 26

Where on Earth is Justin Trudeau?

It’s Friday! Kick back, grab a drink and enjoy the latest episode of Off the Record with William McBeath, Sue-Ann Levy and Noah Jarvis! After Prime Minister Justin Trudeau wrapped up his two-week vacation, Trudeau appears to be popping up at random events in Canadian cities unannounced. His office has been initially releasing his public itinerary with “no public events scheduled” and then updating it later in the day with a swath of events. Why doesn’t Trudeau want Canadians to know where he’s going? Why isn’t the media more upset about this? Plus, what is Toronto Mayor Olivia Chow dressing up as today instead of doing her job? A Carabana dancer? A conservative Muslim woman? An Indian woman? It seems like Chow is taking a run at Trudeau’s “best costumes” title. And William really, really, really hates the Olympics – or at least the idea that Canada should host the Olympics. Tune into Off the Record now!

  33. 25

Guilbeault tries to be hip and cool

There’s poop everywhere, it appears. After an Ontario woman claimed people were pooping on the beaches of Wasaga, a photo of a man apparently pooping at a Brampton gas station sparked outrage online. What is happening in Canada? Plus, how do you do fellow kids? Environment Minister Steven Guilbeault got ratio’d after he posted “Affordable housing IS brat.” So cringey. And the CBC is very upset that Elon Musk shared a parody video of presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris. Why didn’t they include his response in their coverage when he referred to “Professor Suggon Deeznutz?” These stories and more with Rachel Parker, Isaac Lamoureux and Noah Jarvis!

  34. 24

    Too many immigrants in Canada?

Canada’s immigration system used to be renowned worldwide and Canadians took great pride in the country’s welcoming attitude towards newcomers. However, after the Trudeau government opened the floodgates, a new poll shows Canadians now believe immigration numbers are too high. How did we get here?Plus, Canada’s women soccer team is accused of using a drone to spy on New Zealand’s soccer practice. Is this the most embarrassing sports moment for Canada? And everything and anything seems to be racist for activists at the University of Alberta these days.Tune into Off the Record with Andrew Lawton, Noah Jarvis and Isaac Lamoureux!

Trudeau buys $9m luxury condo for former journalist

As Canadians struggle with the high cost of everything, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s governmente decided to use taxpayer money to purchase a $9 million luxury condo in New York City for the consul general to New York, former legacy media journalist Tom Clark. Honestly, is anyone surprised by this government’s complete disregard for taxpayers any more? Plus, while the Liberals hope former Bank of Canada governor Mark Carney is their saviour, a new poll reveals only 7% of Canadians recognize him. And after the attempted assassination of former U.S. President Donald Trump, the American legacy media continue to do President Joe Biden’s dirty work. These stories and more on this week’s episode of Off the Record with Andrew Lawton, Noah Jarvis and William McBeath!

    An unhinged Elizabeth May

It’s Friday! Kick back, grab a drink and enjoy the latest episode of Off the Record with Andrew Lawton, William McBeath and Isaac Lamoureux! She took great offence when a MP dared to say the word ‘fart,’ but Green party leader Elizabeth May has no qualms about dropping f-bombs when she’s ranting about the so-called climate crisis. The self-proclaimed “70-year-old Greta Thunberg” went even further into the deep end this week during an Ottawa press conference. Plus, despite the fact that Lebanon allows child marriages and women are still treated like second-class citizens there, a Canadian diplomat lauded the Trudeau government for bringing “intersectional transformative feminism” to the Middle East country through its foreign policy. These stories and more on Off the Record! Tune in now!

    John A Macdonald gets memory-holed

Historica Canada, an organization once dedicated to documenting Canadian history, has quietly deleted its 'Heritage Minute' about John A Macdonald's role in Confederation, citing "feedback from educators" and his supposed "controversy" as an historical figure. Meanwhile, the United Kingdom Conservatives were decimated in yesterday's election while President Joe Biden seems to mistake Independence Day for Christmas. Plus, Justin Trudeau is skipping this year's Calgary Stampede – perhaps to avoid another pancake blunder like last year – and University of Toronto anti-Israel protesters cut and run before police had a chance to remove them. These stories and more on Off the Record with Andrew Lawton, Harrison Faulkner and Rachel Parker!

    Liberals in panic mode

Since their embarrassing defeat in the Liberal stronghold of Toronto—St. Paul’s, Liberal MPs are scrambling to blame everybody but themselves. After accusing Canadians who vote Conservative of being “cold, cruel and small,” the Liberals now believe they lost the by-election because Canadians are “angry at the world.” Meanwhile, it’s not only Canadians who are souring on Justin Trudeau. He is getting roasted by people around the world. Plus, there’s only one politician in Canada who’s as unpopular as Trudeau – Calgary Mayor Jyoti Gondek. Calgary’s water crisis continues and it’s clear Calgarians really dislike their mayor’s handling of the situation. These stories and more on Off the Record with Andrew Lawton, William McBeath and Isaac Lamoureux!

Singh continues to prop up Trudeau

It’s Friday – kick back, grab a drink and tune into Off the Record with Andrew Lawton, Rachel Emmanuel and Isaac Lamoureux! NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh says he’s very concerned Justin Trudeau’s leadership and yet the NDP’s coalition agreement with the Liberals is the only reason Canadians aren’t heading the polls right now. This week, after reading the NSICOP foreign interference report, Singh was confronted by reporters and asked why he continues to prop up the government despite his concerns that democracy is at stake. Plus, how do you do, fellow kids? The favourite to become the next Liberal leader, Mark Carney, wants Canadians to know he loves hockey and a cold one. So hip and with it! And let’s review Joe Biden getting lost at the G7… These stories and more on Off the Record! Tune in now!

Do the Liberals care about treason?

It’s Friday – kick back, grab a drink and enjoy the latest episode of Off the Record with Andrew Lawton, Rachel Emmanuel and Noah Jarvis! Select MPs are suspected of aiding foreign states to interfere in Canadian affairs. The Liberal government’s response? “Boo-hoo!” After the government refused to release the list of MPs who are suspected of committing “wittingly” collaborating with hostile foreign actors, Liberal MP Jennifer O’Connell mocked the Conservatives’ concerns. Shouldn’t Canadians have a right to know which MPs are working against Canada? Plus, it’s Pride month, which means it’s time for the CBC to shine! With its $1.4 billion annual handout courtesy of taxpayers, the state broadcaster is promoting “the horniest newsletter” in Canada and wondering whether D-Day commemorations glorify war. Quality journalism right here. And comedian Rob Schneider is apparently in hot water for being a comedian and making jokes. Welcome to Canada, Rob! These stories and more on Off the Record!

    Liberals attack…road trips?

The latest unhinged attack coming from the Trudeau government appears to be on Canadian families who enjoy a summertime road trip. Health minister Mark Holland unleashed a completely unhinged rant in the house of Commons when asked about the Conservative proposal to eliminate fuel taxes for the summer months when families take road trips, because that somehow will cause the planet to burn. Also on the show, Andrew, Harrison and William discuss the latest residential school myth, a new Liberal attack ad featuring Andrew Lawton and the latest craze in Ottawa which happens to be “Menstrsual Hygiene Day”. So crack open a cold one and enjoy the latest episode of Off The Record, with Andrew Lawton, Harrison Faulkner and William McBeath.

Liberals resort to abortion scare tactics

It’s Friday! Kick back, grab a drink and enjoy the latest episode of Off the Record with Rachel Emmanuel, Noah Jarvis and William McBeath! Conservatives are up in the polls and everybody knows what that means – abortion scare tactics! This week, Liberal MPs hosted a press conference and accused Pierre Poilievre of infringing on women’s bodily autonomy. Usually the legacy media would eat up these desperate attacks but this time, even Trudeau-friendly reporters called out the Liberals for crying wolf once too often. Sad! Plus, a new study reveals that the Online News Act, which forces big tech companies to pay legacy media outlets, is a complete failure. Despite Meta’s continuing ban on news content, Canadians are still using Meta platforms like Facebook and Instagram and the law has negatively impacted local news outlets. And a Calgary judge has ruled that a northwest Calgary home can continue hosting group sex parties, but the organizers aren’t allowed to call it a club. …So that’s interesting. These stories and more on Off the Record! Tune in now!

Taxpayers on hook for “climate disinformation” rap

It’s Friday – kick back, grab a drink and enjoy the latest episode of Off the Record with Andrew Lawton, Rachel Emmanuel and Isaac Lamoureux! “Climate disinformation, get that immunization, the vaccine for bad meme infiltration!” This was the type of hot fire that was being spat at the Canada Pavilion at the COP28 summit — and taxpayers had to pay for it. We think Canadians would’ve enjoyed a rap about defunding the CBC instead. Plus, while this show is supposed to be fun and light, Isaac wants to talk about how angry Canadians are. Also, how do you feel about volunteering to work for Shoppers Drug Mart? These stories and more on Off the Record! Tune in now!

Cities clash with province over Alberta’s election reform bills

True North’s Alberta team has taken over! Kick back and enjoy the latest episode of Off the Record with Rachel Emmanuel, Isaac Lamoureux and William McBeath! This week, Alberta’s proposed local election reform bills continued to be a contentious issue in the province, as mayors and critics blasted Bill 20. The bill would grant the provincial government the ability to remove councillors and repeal local bylaws. Is this an affront to democracy? Plus, mandatory breath tests are becoming the norm for policing on Canada’s roads, but are they legally sound? These stories and more on Off the Record! Tune in now!

    Is Jagmeet Singh delusional?

It’s Friday! Kick back, grab a drink and tune into the latest episode of Off the Record with Harrison Faulkner, William McBeath and Sue-Ann Levy! Forget their terrible polling numbers, forget their constant need to appease pro-Hamas protesters and forget the fact that they’re propping up the Liberals, NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh says he’s going to win the next federal election. According to the latest polls, if an election were held today, Singh’s New Democrats would remain in fourth place. Is this guy serious? Plus, Sue-Ann wants to know where are all the parents of the kids taking part in the anti-Israel encampments at Canada’s universities? And the Liberals’ latest desperate attack to smear Pierre Poilievre by linking him to the fictitious group Diagolon falls flat as the Conservatives continue to rise in the polls. These stories and more on Off the Record!

Media goes into OVERDRIVE to attack Poilievre

It’s Friday, so kick back, grab a drink and enjoy the latest episode of Off the Record with Andrew Lawton, Rachel Emmanuel/Ms. Emmanuel and Noah Jarvis! Fu** Trudeau flags? Using unparliamentary language? “Extremists?!” This week, the legacy media obsessed over the fact that Conservative leader Pierre Poilievre had the audacity to meet with anti-carbon tax protesters in Atlantic Canada. In the now-viral video of the meeting, Poilievre can be heard accusing PM Justin Trudeau of lying about “everything” and calling the carbon tax “bulls**t.” Legacy media are apparently shocked that a widely-hated tax is, well, widely-hated by actual Canadians. Plus, desperate to make gains in the polls, NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh has been accusing Poilievre of wanting to dump “toxic waste” into waterways. There’s only one problem – Singh’s claim is false. Poilievre has never said anything remotely close to what the NDP leader is saying. These stories and more on Off the Record. Tune in now!

Trudeau gives MORE money to CBC

It’s Friday, so kick back, grab a drink and enjoy the latest episode of Off the Record with Andrew Lawton, Harrison Faulkner and Noah Jarvis! This week, the Trudeau government unveiled its massive budget, which included a $40 billion deficit and $115 billion in new spending over five years. And of course – despite the CBC’s declining viewership, dwindling revenues and massive mismanagement, Justin Trudeau gave the state broadcaster even more money. Plus, a True North exclusive reveals a Royal Military College chaplain who was hailed by the Canadian military as an LGBTQ champion on Transgender Day of Visibility has been suspended following an alleged groping request. And Harrison and Noah take over to talk about about Andrew’s most dreaded topic: sports. This week, Toronto Raptors player Jontay Porter was banned for life from the NBA after violating the league’s gambling rules. These stories and more on Off the Record! Tune in now!

Foreigners voting “compliant with Liberal Party’s rules”

It’s Friday! Kick back, grab a drink and enjoy the latest episode of Off the Record with Candice Malcolm, Andrew Lawton and Harrison Faulkner! As the foreign interference inquiry continues, the Liberal party doesn’t seem to have an issue with international students, who aren’t citizens or even reside in Canada most of the time, voting in its nomination races. In fact, bussing foreigners to voting stations is “compliant with the Liberal party’s rules.” Plus, as Canadians gathered over the weekend the celebrate Easter, one of the most important dates for Christians, the Left tried its best to cancel the holiday. While Veteran Affairs Canada wished Canadians a happy “March Holiday Season,” some leftists went as far as trying to replace Easter with “Transgender Day of Visibility.” And to end of on a rather unusual note, the president of Botswana has threatened to send 20,000 elephants to Germany in a dispute over conservation. Tune into Off the Record!

The CBC tries to be funny

It’s Friday – kick back, grab a drink and tune into the latest episode of Off the Record with Candice Malcolm, Andrew Lawton and Harrison Faulkner! CBC’s This Hour Has 22 Minutes attempted to be funny and took on Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre and Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. For Poilievre, they crashed his rally and confronted him during a photo line up. And for Trudeau, they mocked him for his low polling numbers in a music video. Do you think this is funny or is this just another CBC program that should be defunded? Plus, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau says he thinks about quitting every day and that his job is “boring” and “challenging.” Will Trudeau take a walk in the snow? These stories and more on Off the Record! Tune in now!
