Olobo means town or village square. It is a place where people gather and socialise usually in the evenings. It is often an avenue for knowledge transfer and staying up to date with happenings in the community, and is open to everyone regardless of age or social standing. Here, we will explore and preserve renditions of Ozuitem customs and traditions including folklore, idioms, wise sayings, oral history and general knowledge with the aim of preserving our customs for the future generations, as well as those interested in learning about the Ozuitem people of Abia State, Nigeria.

Proverbs and idioms (ilu la akpaali okwu)
In this series, we have Elder Chima Onubia from Obuofia, Isiegbu, Ozuitem, explaining the concept of proverbs (ilu), idioms (akpaali okwu) and the difference between both. He them gives many examples, their meanings, and when to use them. Comrade Iroham Ndubueze tells the riddle about three rats.
