001 - Everything You Ever Wanted To Know About Silence
First episode. Supposedly uploaded on Good Friday here on the PI, hence the mismatched times for the Converge single release, etc. I really had a busy Holy Week, driving, driving, driving...I'm tackling one of the most controversial albums of the 21st century, Glassjaw's major label debut on Roadrunner Records - right after I watched an hour long nonsensical YouTube video from an artist and album review/commentary/discussion channel who only covered the band and the album in less than 5 minutes out of that hour. Truly punyetamazing.I also wanted to put a spotlight on Chuck Johnson and Ted Hansen as the two low-key but highly regarded names in audio engineering. I know I missed Steve Evetts here but he'll be highlighted on other albums in other episodes. Same with Ross, he's more producer than an engineer in my eyes.Rest in Power James Lollar and Bo Lueders.
