    #PODCASTBLACKOUT

    Release Date: 6/5/2020

    Duration: 4 Mins

Description: Hey everyone, Corey here. This has definitely been a week that it’s time to do something more, other than just drink to. Our podcast is about being able to talk about the bullshit that goes on in the world, and today, there is some real bullshit going on. For many people, it has been a wake up call… AGAIN that black lives matter. Whereas some people only think of it when we hear or see another news story about a black man or woman dying or being unlawfully detained, those black men, women and all other poc (people of color) think about it daily. How they should or shouldn't talk to someone. Where they can or can not walk. What they can or can not wear. I, myself,  take for granted running into the gas station for milk with sunglasses and a hoodie on. Or walking with my hands in my pockets. I take for granted that if I go out drinking and have any friction with anyone I'll simply be asked to leave. I am not white. But I am light skinned enough that society has shown I don't have to think of simple actions of everyday living or how my actions could be threatening to someone. I understand how some people want to say “all lives matter”. Which is true, but poc from Indians, Aboriginals, African Americans, Mexicans, Asians..... They all are systematically exploited. We are at a point in america’s history that all people should be recognized for their merit and accomplishments. Their personality, their morals. No one should be scared to be pulled over. Or to walk alone. Or to be wearing a jacket. Until all can live without fear there is no true freedom. That is for all poc and all lgbtq+. That is for all the children who are told they can't do something because their parents fear for their lives. I don't want to live in fear. Moreover I don't want others to live in fear. I am saddened that americans have become so accustomed to hearing about another poc has died or has had the cops called on them for doing EVERYDAY things. I HATE that america has made people feel okay that they can take the lives of poc in their own hands... Because they have a "gut feeling" or a moment of fear. That they "sensed" a danger and wanted to prevent it. Im angry. I am angry that these people can chase down a black person with their trucks and murder him in the streets and say it was self defense. I am angry because there is NO justice for him. He will not go home ever again. He will not see or speak to his family. The only justice is to bring a new america that takes action to stand up and say it is not okay. It is not okay to kneel on a person after he is no longer resisting. It is not okay to shoot a person because he's out walking with a hoodie. It is not okay to kill a person because he has his music turned up too loud, it is not okay to kill a person because he looked at you and you assumed he was going to hurt you. So to the cops. To those georgian boys. To the "neighborhood watch" to those doing "their job" to those who dont want to hear that “nigger music" to those that dont know what floor they live on, all i can say is fuck you. White america is no longer relevant. This is for everyone that should have pride in who they but can't for fear of consequence.

    Fuck You Jessie!

    Release Date: 5/24/2020

    Duration: 61 Mins

Description: On this episode of Pabst and Tell, we take a look at Women's health and the healthcare system and why it's SOOO important! It is at times incoherent and probably somewhat incorrect, but we talk about how the healthcare system has benefited each of us and how it has failed. We are definitely not journalists, doctors, etc. but we are people, we are women and we have health concerns and issues. In politics today, people are trying to get facilities shut down that are here to help keep costs low for women that can not other wise afford the care they need. In Wisconsin, alone, STI's have gone up 28% and in the county which we live... 45%!!!  Condoms are THE ONLY STI/STD protection there is. And with some STI's becoming antibiotic resistant, it is so important to be able to have access to healthcare we can ALL afford! Condoms AND birth control measures are both great preventatives from an unwanted pregnancy in a relationship or not, but what happens when the unwanted pregnancy was from unwanted intercourse? Others think they have the right to tell you if you should carry a baby to term or not no matter what the circumstance. This opinion does not just affect the women. It affects every citizen out there. Maybe not first hand but in a ripple effect, it affects us all. So, join us this week as we drink to getting through another week and on a path to better health and understanding.
