Preacher: Dr Medi Volpe, Lecturer in Systematic Theology and Ethics, Cranmer Hall, DurhamMedi (“Meeda”) Ann Volpe is a theologian whose work stands at the intersection of Christian formation, theological anthropology, spirituality and ethics. Currently, she is Lecturer in Theology and Ethics at Durham University (UK). Her work brings contemporary theological themes into conversation with voices from the classical Christian tradition. She also has a special interest in what the Church can learn from the lives of those with intellectual disabilities. Her first book, Rethinking Christian Identity: Doctrine and Discipleship was published by Wiley-Blackwell in 2013, and her essays have appeared in Modern Theology, the International Journal of Systematic Theology, and the Journal of Moral Theology (forthcoming, June 2017). Volpe’s new book project is entitled Resurrecting the Body: An Essay on the Life of the Church.
