On Poland’s Baltic coast, it rose from a small fishing village into one of Europe’s most remarkable modern ports. Often called the “Port of Dreams,” and became a symbol of ambition, freedom, and connection to the world after Poland regained independence in 1918. Built in record time during the 1920s the port transformed the city into a vibrant maritime gateway linking Poland with global trade, travel, and culture. We talk about the Polish National Theatre which turns 260 in November!

This year marks the 30th anniversary of Christchurch's HERITAGE FESTIVAL. It provides an annual platform to share & celebrate us as a community & us within the community.
