Accreditation Visit
COVID really did a tune on many clubhouses, especially Potter Place. Since, we have had a lot of work to do to get our clubnhouse up to snuff so we can be accredited. Back in July, we had our turn toproove ourselves. It was hard work and we still have room for improvement but we are now happy to report, we are an accredided clubhouse by Clubhouse International

Having Fun
It isn’t always all work no play at the Clubhouse. We love to have fun as much as we can. We do that by having weekday and weekend socials where we go out in the community to cool places and other times we stay in and make fun food, watch a movie or make arts and crafts. Enjoy!

Employment Services
Clubhouses like ours offer Supported and Independent Employment Programs. These programs are effective strategies for helping Clubhouse members return to paid employment, which is a gateway to recovery. Rounding out the month of October here’s the latest featuring some of folks finding work and utilizing employment service. Just like Mike, shown here enjoying his job.

The Pilot
Welcome to the first of many podcasts from our Clubhouse in Waltham, MA. A Clubhouse is a community-based service dedicated to supporting and empowering people living with mental illness. Our Clubhouse offers a collaborative, restorative environment where Clubhouse members can recover by gaining access to opportunities for employment, socialization, education, skill development, housing and improved wellness. Organized around the belief that every individual has something valuable to contribute to society, Clubhouses effectively help people build self- confidence and end the social and economic isolation so often associated with mental illness. This podcast highlights those efforts and is recorded and produced by Clubhouse members.
