Amanda Escaped a CULT Part 2
PART 1 IS LIVE Today's a doozy of an interview! I spoke with the fabulous Amanda Graham about so many things including but not limited to, her cult experience, her relationship with religion and spirituality, and her experience as an autistic woman. Amanda's story grabbed me right away, not only with an interesting past, but also what she's been able to do with it as an adult. We also dive into working in TV production and comedy, and how she managed to navigate barriers while existing on the spectrum. As an interviewer, I was moved by this conversation. Amanda represents a lot of what I'm interested in accomplishing with my own life and I greatly admire her as a role model to inspire me and I hope you feel inspired as a listener. Rejection Sensitivity & Authenticity Culture
Rejection is a part of life—but for many of us, especially entrepreneurs, it can feel personal, overwhelming, and even paralyzing. In this episode, I explore rejection sensitivity: how it shows up in our lives, how we sometimes reject ourselves before others get the chance, and how we can navigate business setbacks without losing ourselves.I also dive into authenticity culture—what it really means to "be yourself" in a world that demands different versions of us in different settings. Is total authenticity realistic? Or is there a balance between honoring who we are and adapting to life’s circumstances? This episode is a personal reflection on embracing rejection as redirection, finding confidence beyond external validation, and showing up as your best self—without the fear of being misunderstood. Let’s talk about it!🎙️ Tune in, reflect, and join the conversation—I'd love to hear your thoughts on Instagram!Helpful links:Website: https://cofellow.my.canva.site/Marketing Mastery program: cofellow.podia.com/Instagram: @cofellow Email: [email protected] (business inquiries only)

Creativity in Business - RELEASING fear through creativity INTERVIEW ft. Chad Hopson
Today we discuss creative businesses and boy did we cover a lot! We discuss the nuance with authenticity culture and creating boundaries around your unique energetic fingerprint that allows you to step into new environments by augmenting the way you express authenticity without abandoning yourself. We discuss ethical marketing and sales practices through value based business that cuts through the fluff, gets to the point and doesn’t prey on peoples emotional responses to fear tactic marketing that weaponizes FOMO to close the sale. We discuss imposter syndrome and the ways it shows up as creatives. We offer insight on how we can doubt ourselves sometimes as humans and sometimes that's a call from within that we must continue growing before we can complete our goal. We discuss how creating environments that support you to thrive is the number one best way to nurture creativity in the long term, conversely, being stuck in environments that don't support you to release creative energy can lead to feelings of depression and isolation. We discuss the experience of depression as a creative, how its like a ball of kinetic energy that requires outlet for release. Creative entrepreneurship is an excellent outlet for release of that creative energy. We discuss dealing with anger and how leaning into your rage by way of finding outlets that allow you to express and process your anger is far more conducive to nurturing creativity rather than suppressing it. You make me feel... mighty real. Releasing triggers and insecurity.
Have you ever used or received Jonah Hill boundaries? Like the, don't do this, you can't do that, I'm feeling insecure and it's your fault kind of boundaries? I think we've all had a brush with the type of person who at the drop of a hat, puts the pedal to the metal in their - red hot - no touch - boundaries. I'd like to discuss the lingering feelings we get after trauma. In this profound and insightful episode, I delve into the complex subject of trauma, its lingering effects, and the power of healing and release. Please be aware that I will not delve into explicit traumatic experiences, but I encourage you to consider your own emotional well-being before listening. As the host, I'm a passionate advocate for personal growth. Please remember that I'm not a mental health professional, but I offer valuable insights based on my personal beliefs, opinions, and experiences. Disagreement is welcome, and I encourage open dialogue. Fault and Responsibility: I explore the distinction between fault and responsibility in the context of trauma. While it's essential to acknowledge the external causes of our pain, it's equally crucial to understand that we are responsible for our healing journey. Using a powerful analogy, I discuss how emotional injuries can be likened to physical injuries and emphasize the importance of taking ownership of our emotions. Understanding Emotional Wounds: I dive into the hidden emotional wounds that often linger beneath the surface, affecting our behavior and relationships. We explore how unprocessed emotional wounds can manifest as physical ailments and discuss the importance of addressing these hidden scars to live a fulfilling life. We discuss unprocessed emotions that taint your life regardless of your cognizance and acknowledgement of the emotion. We discuss migratory feelings that live in the body and manifest as tension. Breaking Cycles: Trauma often leads to the development of repetitive patterns and cycles. I examine the "why me" mindset and the detrimental impact of getting stuck in these cycles. I offer guidance on how to break free from these cycles and embrace personal growth and healing. Setting Boundaries: Learn about the significance of setting healthy boundaries in personal relationships. I provide practical advice on establishing boundaries and fostering open communication to build trust and understanding. The Release Process: I share a powerful ritual for emotional release that I do during full moons. This practice provides an opportunity to process and release accumulated emotional stress, promoting emotional well-being and preventing future triggers. I highlight the importance of patience and rest in this process. The Role of Forgiveness: I discuss the concept of forgiveness as a personal choice rather than a mandatory step in the healing process. Understanding the role of forgiveness in releasing emotional baggage is explored. When someone else owns the control for closure our process for release is reliant on someone else's timeline. Conclusion and Empowerment: In closing, I offer words of encouragement and support for those on a healing journey. Trauma is not the end of the story; it's a chapter in your life. This episode aims to empower listeners to take control of their emotions, break free from cycles, and release the emotional burdens they carry. Join me in this enlightening conversation about trauma, healing, and personal growth. Remember, you are not alone in your journey, and there is hope for brighter days ahead. Cheers for now! Overthinking, a scale between intrusive thoughts and creativity | with special guest Nasir Awale
Hi! I'm so flippin excited to present this interview. I absolutely love Nasir, he is so full of wisdom and insight and I loved having him on my show. Nasir and I spoke about overthinking and how it relates to intrusive thoughts, creativity, building relationships, developing a sense of self. As always, I try to find a positive aspect to this perceived flaw that many of us carry. Through this interview we've discovered that certain qualities such as overthinking can lead to preparedness, attention to detail, and living life protected from surprises. We've also discovered that these same traits that help you through school, and in certain career paths, it's not always the best quality to have in other situations such as making friends, or being creative. We discuss the difference between augmenting your personality to suit the environments you're in, while also paying homage to times in our lives where we've had to augment too much and end up abandoning our true selves in the pursuit of belonging. Please keep in touch with Nasir, he's an artist and entrepreneur and you can admire and even buy his beautiful works of art on his instagram: @awaleartinc Other helpful links: Buy me a coffee: ko-fi.com/procrasturbationstation Marketing Mastery program: cofellow.podia.com/ Instagram: @cofellow Tiktok: @procrasturbationstation Email: [email protected] (business inquiries only)

What are creative blocks? Where does creativity come from? Is it a spiritual practice? Interview with Liv
With today's episode I bring you something new! Firstly, check out my sick intro with background music and sound effects :) I also have a returning and still special guest with today's episode, Liv Arcangeli the creativity coach and we're discussing creative blocks. Follow up to our first interview together titled: Cultivating Sustainable Creativity with Special Guest Liv Arcangeli We're back with more to say on creativity, Now that we've covered how to cultivate more of it, we discuss how to keep it from slipping away. Our subtopics for this episode include, creative blocks, where creativity comes from and what's the stem, thorn and rose bud to our respective current creative journeys. We discuss real fears as a creative person as well as an entrepreneur and where the blocks seem to stem from like the fear of whether or not you can succeed transforms into a fear of your success being taken away. Did you know creative blocks are a taboo topic? I didn't. We also have a make a major right turn towards genetics and biology before going back to our regularly scheduled programming. Liv helps people move through creative blocks and embody their creative potential, she covers what exactly a creative block is and how she helps her clients move through it with her system within this episode, get your pencils out ✏️ Her system moves you through your foundations, your vision, your mindset, your practice that helps you feel connected, a system of inspiration and your community. We discuss how her system resembles a hierarchy of needs yet she sees it as a circle, which I love because it allows you to look at the pie chart of your life and address more slices than one at a time. If you want a quick and dirty way to unblock your creativity: Liv says look at your foundations. Address your needs with sleep, food, social time, rest, your friggen posture, all of these little things that keep you human are the best medicine to inspire your creativity. When you're feeling blocked it's likely because your needs aren't being met. Where does creativity come from? Identify where you find new ideas, like in the shower or going for a walk, you can start to notice your ideas. Or, perhaps you're like me and you have no issue with having ideas, but you struggle more with executing your ideas, How do we nurture ourselves in order to cultivate a creative career, in order to ensure we have enough inspiration and execution juice to consistently produce effective work? Liv says make an effort to live in a rest and digest state, as in the anti-fight or flight or some may call somatic state. Make time for the things that bring you joy so that you can tap into a space of stillness in order to find the impulse within that drives us to create. When you are more rested and you have inspiration, your execution flows from the nourishment of your rest. As a creative mind we rework things, we problem solve. I go on a tangent about reinvention, creative entrepreneurs are reinventors, constantly innovating the status quo in order to evolve the norm, whereas recreational creation is a journey to tap into the soul. How creation is like boot camp for a rogue narrator dictating the story of your life, where you teach your narrator to be gentle within the process of reworking your creation. We discuss energy and flow and routine, and how creativity can live within the boring mundane, and it can also live in disrupting routines. It can be anything, it's the life force that runs through us, we access it through nature and through our breath. If you're working through your creative droughts, chill on it and allow the process to take course, and allow yourself to explore new mediums of creation. How to Start a Podcast: Nurturing your Community
On the final episode of the how to start a podcast series we'll be discussing the essential aspects of building a community around your podcast. Choosing the Right Hosting Platform: There are so many options when choosing a hosting platform. Popular options include Anchor, SoundCloud Rumble, among others. Consider factors such as ease of use, pricing if any, and the features offered when making your decision. Ensure that the platform you choose allows for easy distribution to major platforms like Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and Google Podcasts. Anchor, is my choice as it offers free distribution to major platforms and allows for post-publishing edits. Availability on Major Platforms: Your hosting platform is different than where you distribute your show. Prioritize major platforms like Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Amazon Music, and Audible to ensure easy access for your audience. Each platform has its own submission process, so it's essential to follow their guidelines and requirements. Distributing your podcast widely can reach broader audiences, but can be daunting when you're starting out. Start witht the 2 foremost mentions in my list. Launching Your Podcast: A well-executed launch plan can help your podcast gain traction and attract listeners. Consider creating a launch strategy that includes promoting your show on social media, networking with other podcasters and being a guest on their shows. Your friends and family can provide an initial boost, but it's crucial not to rely solely on them for ongoing support. Understanding Your Audience and Their Phases: Your audience will go through phases as they engage with your podcast. It's your responsibility as the creator to make it easy for them to decide to subscribe and become loyal listeners. Understand why someone would want to follow your show and create content that resonates with their interests and needs. You can make your audience feel seen, help them overcome obstacles, inform and entertain them, or offer unique perspectives on various topics. Tap into what matters to them and provide value consistently. Networking and Nurturing Your Community: Building a network is essential for cross-promotion. Join podcasting groups on social media, attend events and conferences, and reach out to other podcasters to build relationships. Networking extends beyond friends and family. Engage with your audience online, respond to feedback, and create a social media presence for your podcast. Encourage comments and feedback to foster a sense of community. Networking to pitch your cause and to build connections around shared interests. Nurturing Your Audience: Engaging with your audience and responding to feedback is crucial for nurturing your community. Create a social media plan and manage your social media presence. Create social media videos and graphics that highlight the most shareable aspects of each episode. Manage your social media accounts efficiently by using templates and batching likes with likes. Cater your content to the feedback you receive, and trust yourself to stay true to your vision. Nurture yourself by taking breaks and maintaining a consistent, sustainable schedule. Social Media and Digital Marketing: Use platforms such as YouTube and Patreon to compliment your podcast. Start with one platform at a time and ensure you have a good grasp on the basics before branching out. Develop a launch plan and market your show through various channels, including social media, email lists, and websites. Consider managing an email list to inform your subscribers about new updates, summaries, and engage with their feedback. Marketing your show aims to expand your reach, ask questions, and integrate your audience's knowledge into your content. Thank you for joining me on this journey, and I encourage you to watch the previous episodes if you haven't already. Stay tuned for my next tutorial series, where we'll dive into the world of marketing your podcast. Cheers!

How to start a podcast: Collaborations, Interviews and Sponsors
Welcome back to the second to last episode in the How to Start a Podcast series! In today's episode, I dive into the exciting world of sponsors, interviews, and collaborations. Whether you have a solo show or co-host, it's crucial to learn how to showcase your podcast to a wide audience and engage in meaningful partnerships. This episode is all about nurturing relationships, developing your pitch, and making the process easy for everyone involved. I begin by exploring the different types of collaborations, including true collaborations, interviews, and sponsorships. A true collaboration occurs when you and your guest share the same audience, bringing diverse expertise together to delve deep into a topic relevant to both of you. An interview, on the other hand, involves hosting a guest with expertise different from your own, allowing you to learn and inform your audience about new topics. Sponsorships are a common way to monetize your show, where brands pay you to promote their products or services to your audience. Discover the benefits of working with others in your podcasting journey. Collaborating with like-minded individuals allows you to borrow audiences, tap into diverse skills, and potentially earn monetary compensation. Building relationships and engaging in collaborations are essential steps to gain notoriety and grow your listener base. Learn why nurturing relationships is key, even with a small audience, and how becoming a micro-influencers can have a significant impact on obtaining partnerships for your show. Getting collaborators, interviewees, and sponsors to reach out to you is the ultimate goal. I discuss strategies to make that happen, including providing contact information in your podcast description and encouraging listeners to engage with you. However, if you're not getting enough response, I share tips on how to reach out to potential collaborators yourself. Building relationships, engaging with like-minded individuals, and gauging interest before asking for an interview are essential steps to avoid constant rejection. Crafting a compelling pitch is crucial when reaching out to potential collaborators and sponsors. I provide a framework for developing your pitch, highlighting the benefits for the other party, and tailoring your message to their specific needs and audience. Whether you're cold calling or targeting big-name guests, personalizing your pitch with industry data and showcasing your knowledge about their brand will increase your chances of success. Lastly, I emphasize the importance of making the collaboration process easy and enjoyable for everyone involved. How to Start a Podcast Tutorial: Creating Media and Marketing
On this episode of the "How to Start a Podcast" tutorial, I break down the essential media you need to create to support your show. From eye-catching episode covers and thumbnails to informative descriptions, clickbait titles, social media strategies, branding, data analysis, and cross promotion, I cover it all. Episode covers and thumbnails and visual components are the first impression for potential listeners, so it's crucial to make them engaging and informative. I share my approach of using fun and attention-grabbing thumbnails, ensuring they align with the episode topic and podcast name. Consistency in visual style across all covers helps establish recognition. While descriptions should be informative, catchy descriptions are not necessary since most people tend to skim through them if they happen to read them at all (hello rulebreaker). Including relevant keywords is key to help platform algorithms understand your content and connect you with listeners. I share how I convert my scripts into descriptions, adding contact links and specific information to the end that might be sought by viewers. When it comes to clickbait titles, we discuss the importance of avoiding misleading or irrelevant information. However, I share my method of using titles that elicit emotion and curiosity, as long as they accurately represent the content. This approach acts like a cliffhanger to create a sense of intrigue. Social media plays a crucial role in reaching your audience. Although I have reservations about social media, I acknowledge its power to foster community engagement. I suggest using thought-provoking questions, polls, video snippets, and eye-catching graphics to engage with listeners and promote your show. Creating unique content before and after each episode helps generate excitement and drive traffic. We explore other ways to stay connected with your audience with websites, blogs, and email lists. I emphasize the importance of websites as digital business cards that can provide direct links to your show. Blogs can be used to describe episodes, while email lists allow you to send updates, release dates, and summaries. Crafting a well-structured email campaign can nurture different segments of your audience, providing tailored content and seeking feedback. Branding is a fundamental aspect of podcasting. I discuss the process of developing a brand persona by listing words that represent your style and personality. Consistency in visual style, color schemes, and tone of voice across episode covers, social media graphics, and websites helps establish a cohesive and recognizable brand identity. Analyzing data and insights provided by social media platforms is essential for understanding your audience. I encourage paying attention to the episodes that receive more attention and leveraging that information to replicate success. Even in the absence of engagement, analyzing the data can provide valuable insights for improvement. Cross promotion through collaborations can expand your reach. While collaborations are discussed more in-depth in a future episode, I touch on their significance. Appearing as a guest on other shows allows you to tap into their existing audience. Cross promotion through sharing episodes and giving shoutouts on social media can also be beneficial. Pitching collaboration as a mutually beneficial arrangement helps both parties grow their listener base. By incorporating these marketing strategies, you can enhance your podcast's visibility and attract a larger audience. Remember, podcasting is not only about creating great content but also effectively promoting it to reach the right listeners. Join me in the next episode, where we'll delve into collaborations, sponsors, and interviews. Your Big Dreams are hiding behind your instincts: Do you need to fire your coach?
In this episode, I delve into the concept of reverse engineering in entrepreneurship. My story begins with a major life shift as I get fired and drop out on the very day I start my business. Taking a leap of faith, I put all my eggs in the proverbial entrepreneurship basket and immediately start networking, using the raw skills I acquired in college and from a year of industry experience. However, I quickly realized that I was not fully prepared for the journey ahead. Before even knowing what I offer people, I jump into starting my business, which leads me to the topic of reverse engineering and trailblazing. Throughout this episode, I guide the discussion with subtopics such as instructions, guidance, and examples, knowing what you bring to the table and the trout that swam upstream. I emphasize the value of going beyond the conventional mentorship approach and embracing the opportunity to develop my own instincts. Personally, I have had mixed experiences with mentors in the past. While some have provided valuable guidance, many have led me astray due to miscommunication or a lack of understanding of my business goals. As a result, I've discovered the importance of being open to new solutions and not relying solely on the words of others. I challenge the notion that extensive experience is necessary to succeed as a consultant and advocate for trying new ideas and weighing the time commitment to their potential outcomes. Another aspect of my entrepreneurial journey is the realization that trial and error is a significant part of the process. It involves making mistakes, facing imposter syndrome, and gradually gaining confidence and security. Entrepreneurship has been a long case study in personal development, where I've worked to create a system that aligns with my strengths rather than forcing myself into predefined molds. Knowing what I bring to the table is crucial. With the help of a spiritual mentor, I discovered that I am a trailblazer who desires to carve my own path in my career. Initially, I took on any project that came my way, but I later realized the importance of developing a specific offer and focusing on consulting. This shift allowed me to help others make an impact with their marketing while staying true to my own style and expertise. The episode also emphasizes the significance of owning your year. Setting big goals and creating a blueprint is essential, but it's equally important to remain flexible and adaptable to seize opportunities that may arise unexpectedly. While having a plan of action is valuable, it should not restrict you from capitalizing on new opportunities or learning from past failures objectively. Lastly, I discuss the challenges and rewards of swimming upstream, going against the advice and expectations of others. Although it can feel isolating, embracing my desire to deviate from the norm has allowed me to connect with like-minded individuals and find my tribe. I encourage listeners to prioritize their own growth and disregard the opinions of those who do not contribute positively to their lives. In conclusion, this episode encourages listeners to challenge traditional advice and find alternative paths to success. It emphasizes the importance of personal growth, being true to oneself, and embracing the journey of entrepreneurship. How to start a podcast tutorial: Recording and editing
In today's tutorial, we'll be discussing the process of recording and editing your podcast. As we dive into this topic, I'll be sharing my personal experiences and tips. The video begins by highlighting the ease of the recording phase once you have your microphone, software, and scripts ready. I emphasize the importance of planning and preparation, as they make the recording process much smoother. I provide step-by-step instructions, encouraging viewers to hit the record button on their chosen software and confidently present their scripts. During recording, I suggest a technique to handle slip-ups gracefully. Instead of stumbling through a sentence, I recommend starting again from the beginning of the sentence, giving yourself options during the editing process. This approach allows for improved audio quality and the editing process. For those incorporating video into their podcasts, I acknowledge the additional effort required when recording oneself on camera. I discuss different options, from placing a script under the webcam to utilizing stock footage or b-roll related to the topic. I mention that although I focus primarily on audio quality for my podcast, there are resources available for those interested in creating visually captivating videos. When it comes to recording interviews, I explain that using platforms like Zoom is beneficial. I mention the importance of ensuring that the guest's microphone input is connected to their mic and touch on recording the meeting to be able to invite guests. Moving on to the editing phase, I acknowledge that it can be time-consuming, but developing an editing process over time can increase efficiency. I provide various editing tips and techniques, such as removing background noise using noise reduction functions and converting video files to audio files for editing in software like Audacity. I address the importance of removing filler words and unpleasant mouth noises, which can be distracting for listeners. I share my own experiences with filler words and caution against removing too many stutters, as it can sound unnatural. Additionally, I mention other audio tricks, such as adding bass or reducing S whistles, which can be achieved using Audacity or other software. Scrubbing through the audio carefully during editing is emphasized, as it helps catch mistakes or issues and ensures the best possible quality. I mention that I personally edit at 2x speed to expedite the process, but viewers are encouraged to find the editing speed that works best for them. I discuss the simultaneous process of scrubbing for marketing media while editing, aiming to find compelling phrases to use in promotional reels and shorts. This approach helps attract attention to the long-form content of the podcast. The video concludes with instructions on exporting the edited podcast, including file format selection, and highlights the importance of backing up files to an external hard drive for data security. Throughout the video, I emphasize the value of careful planning, preparation, and utilizing available tools to enhance the audio quality and overall listening experience. Join me in the next episode as we explore creating media for your show. Thank you for watching, and I look forward to sharing the conclusion with you soon. In this video, we delve into the crucial aspects of creating and structuring a podcast. Building upon the previous tutorial, we now focus on the contents of your podcast and how to effectively deliver your message to your audience. The discussion is guided by several subtopics, including picking your own subtopics and content pillars, episode structure, research, being authentic, and breaking down information. We explore the importance of choosing a topic that allows for endless discussion from multiple angles in order to avoid common pitfalls that lead to running out of content. Strategies for staying consistent and connecting related topics emphasize the importance of narrowing down your focus. Content pillars are a useful organizational tool to provide clarity and consistency for your audience. These pillars are broad subtopics within your main topic that serve as a reference point throughout your podcast. This episode provides examples of content pillars related to entrepreneurship and creativity, highlighting the need for balance between broad and specific topics. Research is emphasized as a critical element for creating an accurate and informed podcast. We discuss the importance of staying updated with the latest trends, practicing social listening, and being aware of the content your audience engages with. What if it all goes right? A personal update about creativity and healing
In this video, I open up about where I am in my personal journey and share insights into my healing process. I begin by offering a trigger warning as I discuss self-harm, but I invite those who struggle with it to stay and listen as I share how I have healed that wound within my heart. This episode doesn't follow specific subtopics but rather focuses on my plans for the show, what I find interesting about myself, and what I've learned along the way. Initially, I started this show to explore entrepreneurship as a creative practice and delve into the self-development required to sustain a creative flow. I express my anticipation for upcoming changes, highlighting that I won't be announcing every little change but rather allowing my audience to experience my growth and evolution alongside me. I emphasize the value of documenting my journey and avoiding dwelling in the energy of past changes, seeking validation for each decision. As I anticipate these changes, I admit to feeling both nervous and excited simultaneously. I use this episode as an opportunity to cryptically vent and share the lessons I wish I had learned earlier. While I'm engaged in entrepreneurial projects, I explain that I'm still in the learning process and hope to share more about my entrepreneurial journey in the coming months. Before being an entrepreneur, I identify myself as a creative individual. I express my love for painting and how creativity permeates all aspects of my life, from financial struggles to emotional challenges and relationships. I emphasize the importance of creativity as a source of joy and innocence that allows us to build, explore perspectives, and find solutions. I discuss the shift from a mindset of fearing what could go wrong to embracing the possibilities of what could go right. Sharing more about myself, I describe my intelligence and sensitivity during my childhood. Despite being academically advanced, I explain how I wasn't emotionally and socially at par with my peers. I turned to books, writing, and math and science as sources of comfort and understanding. I reflect on the social conflicts I faced during my educational journey, which affected my attendance and academic performance in my final years of elementary school, high school, and college. This pressure to finish what I start continues to influence me in adulthood, but I have learned to determine if I can see projects through before starting them. Regarding my recent discoveries about myself, I talk about my past struggles with self-harm. I express gratitude for outgrowing this behavior but acknowledge that the urges haven't completely disappeared. Through self-reflection, I have realized that the root of these urges lies in feeling misunderstood. With this newfound understanding, I can now seek more understanding and address this underlying issue. While I acknowledge that I'm not an expert in everything I discuss on the show, I emphasize that I'm an expert in my own experiences and feelings about them. I want the show to be a gateway for healing the heart, rather than focusing solely on the brain as traditional healing approaches do. I encourage viewers to embrace their worthiness of love and explore their coping mechanisms and self-sabotaging traits with compassion. I urge them to fixate on joy, address limiting beliefs, and develop a relationship with their past selves to make conscious choices aligned with their inner guidance. In conclusion, thank you for being with me on this journey. Healing is challenging and uncomfortable but essential when feeling stuck. It's not something to hyperfixate on but rather to be felt, as it involves healing the heart rather than just the brain. Thank you for being here and sharing this experience with me. Does the silent treatment help or harm? How avoidance creates a pressure cooker that's waiting to explode.
In this episode, we explore the topic of avoidance, hoe it creates a pressure cooker that leads to explosions. We are examining the differences between shutting down and stonewalling. Avoidance can come in many forms, some from a place of malice and others from a place of necessity which poses the difference between the silent treatment and stonewalling. However, it ultimately delays healthy communication in flourishing relationships. We also discuss the process of working through avoidance and how change is born from realizing that both options suck, and asking ourselves which one sucks less. Although it may not be a sustainable or healthy long-term strategy, avoidance can sometimes provide temporary relief or protection and has a silver lining. We also examine the question of whether we should outgrow our avoidance and conclude that in reality, it’s a grey area and the goal is not to stop avoidance but to manage it. Some silver linings to avoidance is the ability develop emotional and physical endurance when experiencing pain, change, uncertainty, lack of control, and risk. By managing avoidance and honouring our feelings in a relationship, we can maintain resilience in the face of challenges and adapt to adversity. How to Start a Podcast: Thematics - Episode 1
Welcome to the first episode of Procrasturbation Station’s podcasting series. In this episode, we discuss the first steps to starting your podcast. Our subtopics include choosing a name and logo, understanding your audience, selecting a category, picking music, researching competition, and reverse engineering your value proposition. Choosing a name and logo can be daunting, but it's not the most important step when starting out. Your name and logo should be memorable, catchy, and easy to recognize. I recommend considering descriptive words or phrases that convey the tone or theme of your podcast, or using a clever pun or play on words to create a unique and attention-grabbing name. Understanding your audience is crucial in developing your content ideas and descriptions. While it's important to tailor the meat of your content towards your listeners, I believe in targeting lookalike audiences, who have overlapping problems and concerns to people whose lives look completely different to our own. When selecting a category for your podcast, think about what type of content you want to create and who your target audience is. Choose a category that aligns with your goals and interests, and also consider whether it will appeal to your audience. For selecting music, you should consider the tone and vibe of your show but be aware that music can be expensive. Look for license-free music that you can use legally without infringing on anyone's copyright. Actual Description: In this video, we explore the concept of being a chameleon person, someone who creates a persona to suit their circumstance. While this quality allows one to blend in and reflect the light of others, it also limits them from sharing their own light with the world. As a chameleon person, it can be exhausting to hide one's true self long term and to walk on eggshells to avoid slipping up. However, being a chameleon person also has its beauty. It allows one to create space for others to feel seen and accepted for their uniqueness. By knowing the right things to say and being adaptable in any environment, a chameleon person can work a room and make everyone feel valued. But what happens when a chameleon person allows their own spark to shine while still creating space for the spark of others? The alchemy of differences happens, where relationships become rich with diversity in knowledge and skill. Ultimately, as a chameleon person, it's important to find release and allow one's freak flag to fly. This could be through hobbies or safe friends to talk to about one's latest fixation. And if hiding who you are is necessary for safety, remember to keep yourself safe and know that you deserve to feel seen and accepted for your uniqueness. Today's episode is guided by the topics, reap what you sow, controlled reaction, toxic positivity, lean on the bright side, your own feelings and thoughts feelings and truth. With all of these buzzwords, how can we remain neutral, diplomatic, and dancing in the grey area. In my past I've struggled with Chicken Little Syndrome, meaning, the sky is always falling... When something bad happens in the world it feels like its happening directly to you. When we focus on the negative side of things, it reinforces our negative mindset by proving to ourselves that there's a reason to be negative. You can change your negative mindset to be more positive by finding more positive examples. Our minds think in absolutes, the only way to combat a negative mindset is to find the exception to the rule. Perhaps you have a reason to be negative, your feelings are valid. I want to challenge you to find the brightside even when it feels impossible. Not to cherry pick only the positive things in life, but to balance your past of cherry picking the negatives. Everyone would prefer sweet cherries over bitter and when you're older and look back at the basket of your life, you'll want to see a higher majority of sweetness than bitterness. Why Should You Care? | If you're asking: So what she has a marketing course? | Who I help and how I help
Hi! With today's episode I tell you about how my marketing course is designed to support creative entrepreneurs. Today's episode is guided by the topics, what is creative entrepreneurship, how exactly I intend to help creatives with their marketing and what about this course makes it tailored to creatives. Creatives are passionate people, occasionally bulldozing past the planning phases and unable to overcome unforeseen roadblocks... due to the lack of planning. These roadblocks and perceived failures can translate to a disconnect from their inspiration and worst of all giving up for the fear of not being good. Entrepreneurship is a creative practice, it's your mission to develop a message that speaks to people, and gets them to consider working with you by getting them talking. Creatives and entrepreneurs have one major thing in common; they're both innovators. I help entrepreneurs develop their business foundations to see evidence from their hard work. I help them settle into one cohesive strategy to test their methods for enough time before moving on to another strategy. I help entrepreneurs warm their customer so that they're ready to receive their message by showing them you're aware of their desires, including the desires they're less willing to share with you, so that pitching your offer feels authentic, not pushy. Your tender care and attention to detail are admirable qualities, they're also the qualities that prevent you from seeking expert advice from any old guy who claims to know business but knows nothing about your experience as a creative. I've built my course to help you develop your strategy without feeling restricted to the way it's always been done. Why should you care that I have this course? Well, you shouldn't. Not unless you feel I've been speaking to you throughout this episode and episodes of the past. Entrepreneurship is very rewarding, it also comes with challenges. You shouldn't care because I told you to, you should care because you want to. If you are a creative and you're putting things out there, even if you're not seeing results or being seen, I hope you know that it's still worth it to tell your story. I hope this plants a seed within you to start thinking and taking small actions towards entrepreneurship. This channel will continue to have themes of entrepreneurship however, it's meant for creatives as a whole to develop sustainable creative practices. Please share your feedback with me. Competition | an episode about collaboration, gamification and living by your own set of rules.
Useful links: Buy me a coffee: https://ko-fi.com/procrasturbationstation Marketing Mastery program: https:/cofellow.podia.com/ Instagram: @cofellow Tiktok: @procrasturbationstation Email: [email protected] (business inquiries only) With today's episode we discuss competition among entrepreneurs, artists, and among our individual selves. By getting in touch with your superpowers, you get to compete in unique ways by being collaborative and original. I encourage you to make hard things feel softer by making your to-do list more fun with gamification. To me this looks like building a life modeled after a video game, with benchmarks, achievements and levels to compete with myself and consistently make improvements. I will tell you about my process to making things more fun and how this concept comes into play in my daily life. I encourage you to toss your instruction manual to the wind and create your own rules. You're the architect of this life, you're capable of living it to your absolute fullest with honour for the what things have been built in the past AND with honour for the way you want your future to be. Creativity, artistic projects and entrepreneurship all have one thing in common: Innovation. When we innovate we're standing on the shoulders of the giants who came before us and we cannot discredit their influence on the way things have evolved to be how they are. As creatives, we are also innovators. When we innovate, we have the opportunity to build on the way things have always been done. In doing so, we are standing on the shoulders of giants who came and innovated before us. By looking to the past, we can develop a sustainable, stable future in our infrastructure. I hope after hearing this episode you come out the other side with a new perspective on what it means to be competitive. I hope that although competition can be intimidating, you also understand that it arms consumers with choice and that no one can do what you do with the special care and attention to detail that you have. You do it exactly in the way that special to you. Thank you for being with me, I do hope you subscribe, and that you tune in next week when we discuss negativity and creating positive shifts in our mindset.

What's What | How things have changed around here | What happens on the business side of things | I have something special for you
Today’s episode covers what’s been cooking in Procrasturbation Station and Cofellow. I've launched a course titled Marketing Mastery: A Self Study Program for creative entrepreneurs. This course is designed to help you work hard towards the right things so that you’re not caught up with vanity metrics so that you can see results and reap the rewards of your work. Lots has changed over the years within my business Cofellow, a lot of time and research has gone into developing my skills so that I could create this offer. I started this podcast when I was feeling disconnected from my business, this is no longer the case. By creating my course I’ve been able to develop more connection between my services and the topics I touch on in this podcast. When I started my business I lacked important foundations to help me stand strong in my strategy, as a result I was operating out of obligation and going wherever the wind blew, landing in programs that offered band aid solutions to my everlasting problem. I want you to complete my program and never need another program in order to be successful in your business. With today’s episode I’ve highlighted the topics included within my course and how you can interact with it including tiered packages to suit your budget. Procrasturbation Station is meant for creative entrepreneurs like me. I invite anyone with a creative spark to follow along with this channel, perhaps if you do you’ll eventually be ready to start your own journey with entrepreneurship. All or Nothing Mindset: with Hayley Coates
I am SO FREAKING HONOURED to have had the opportunity to host the incredible Hayley Coates. Hayley is a nutrition coach who helps women balance their hormones and grow a booty (I know right)?!?! If you're interested in connecting with her, please use the links below. I have worked with Hayley in the past and she was the one who introduced me to the idea that I might have an all or nothing mindset. We will talk about swapping the term motivation, an outward source of drive, for dedication, an internal commitment to drive. All or nothing has many names including black and white thinking and labeling everything great or terrible. In today’s episode we talk about black and white thinking as a self sabotage mechanism that contributes to overthinking and perfectionism. Although this mindset isn’t inherently wrong, it negatively impacts your power to dream big and be creative. From todays topic my wish for you is to practice dancing in the grey area and making healthy choices for your well being. Team Self Care
Hello and welcome, today we are talking all things self care. I have broken this huge topic into the following categories: the types of self care, the theory and execution, the problem, the solution, and my personal practice and wish for you. We will discuss the difference between marketable self care that we're sold online and the accessibility of radical self care practices. Self care comes in introspective and extrospective forms and can serve us in many ways when practiced consistently. Self care is key to maintaining nervous system regulation which creates feelings of safety in the body, even throughout times of discomfort. When we practice self care on a daily basis we can create new pathways in the brain to help you find your happy place, develop your process and self awareness. Your self care practice is personal to you, you have the chance to offer your inner child the sense of belonging they've been looking for. It's my job to be an example of how accessible self care is to you even if you're not ready to go on a spa retreat. Self care is a self defined practice of doing things that make you feel fulfilled and purposeful. Self care is hugging trees and screaming in your car. It's also painting your nails and changing your sheets. It's also having hard conversations and cutting people off when your needs aren't being met. Self care is a righteous act of fulfilling your needs in response to a culture that leans on externally sourced affirmation. Radical self care is offering yourself compassion and fierce self acceptance while you navigate your mistakes and shortcomings. Self care is the solution to a stress addicted culture that perpetuates binge and restrict ideals. Cultivating Creativity with Structure
Today we're talking about creativity and structure... Because art can change the world!!!!! Cultivating creativity in your day to day routine can support your memory and your mental health, it can help you articulate how you're feeling and process dreams. When we do art for the process, we can develop a deeper connection with ourselves. Today I honour artists who inspire me, past and present. I know many artists and if there's one thing I know they both crave and avoid structure. If I know another thing, it's that they're quick to give credit to their fellow artists, but they tend to struggle with extending the same energy for their own art. How can we develop a creative practice that's sustainable? Both sustainable within our bandwidth, (we're not crafting for the criticism), and sustainable with our resources. We will talk about cultivating a craft and the process of practice to improvement. We're talking about motivation and inspiration and how we can create more often, with ease, by bringing harmony between the free flowing world of art and structure. You can find creativity in the most mundane tasks by setting the mood, especially when you want to accomplish something that makes you uncomfortable. How often you practice will determine the level of motivation you require each time you want to jump into something new. The length of time you dedicate to practicing will determine how deep you develop your personal style. In the art world, there's little that isn't subjective to the audience... much like business... That's the beautiful thing about it; we will talk about the balance between feedback and boundaries. With this episode I ask you to create more... Make time to practice and do it to understand your process. Paint your life and make it as colourful as the canvas asks. And lastly, I ask you to offer yourself grace in times of creative drought. I have some exciting news on its way for you, keep an eye out on my @cofellow Instagram for dates and details.

Why and All That Junk
Today we talk about my origin story... We dive into my past and the problems I've faced within my professional career that have driven me to start a business that advocates for inclusivity and sustainability. I will go deep into my past and the struggles I faced as a kid into my young adulthood. I will talk about how I aim to honour where I've come from while also carving a new path that's authentic to me. I will also highlight how I apply what I've learned to practice my skills in marketing on a daily basis and how I aim to improve on the setbacks I've faced by practicing honouring my feelings with vulnerability and toughening up. Lastly, I will talk about my goals and aspirations for the future and how I aim to get there from where I am right now. I would like to add another thank you, genuinely, from the bottom of my heart, I appreciate all the love and support I've had in getting this far and for that, I will never stop doing what feels right.

Perfectionism and Pressure
In this episode we will discuss perfectionism and it's dangers towards your well-being, relationships and your future. We will discuss the narrative around standards, fears and dissecting how we define good and bad. Perfectionism perpetuates a pressure to avoid looking at clear and apparent negatives in your life in fear of other's opinions. This creates a negative narrative that contributes to high expectations and a competitive nature. Perfectionism isn't all bad either! If you have an eye for perfectionism, you can manage your expectations and give yourself grace to motivate yourself and others from a place of love. Sustainable, repeatable action is key to cultivate productivity and leverage your time to combat task paralysis. I leave you with the following questions: What does perfect look like to you? How do you fall into a perfectionist mindset? How does this impact you and your relationships? How do you give yourself credit around your successes and failures? What gifts have you discovered about yourself from the "negative" experiences you've had in your life?
