Ep 1: The State of Long-Form Journalism Today
In this first episode, I speak with journalist-turned-author Shevlin Sebastian about the current state of long-form writing and whether feature writing is sustainable as a career. We also discuss his journey into publishing, beginning with his debut book, The Stolen Necklace (HarperCollins). Shevlin reflects on the challenges of entering the publishing world, even for those with an established journalism career. He also explains how writing for a newspaper differs drastically from writing a book, and how he had to unlearn many habits along the way.
