Ep. 35 - Why I Walked Away From Astrology & Why I’m Returning
Ep. 35 - In this episode, I open up about my relationship with astrology, how I found it when I was 13 years old during a huge life shakeup, why I fell so deeply in love with it, how it became my full-time work, why I eventually walked away, & why I am now feeling called to return to it from a very different place inside of myself.I share what I believe astrology actually is: not a belief system, not a fixed identity, & not a tool that was ever meant to box us in or flatten the depth of who we are. To me, astrology is an archetypal language. It is a symbolic language that can meet us at whatever level of consciousness we bring to it.I also speak honestly about what turned me off from astrology for a season, especially the ways I saw it being used through meme culture & pop culture astrology as a reductive, dismissive, or victimizing framework. I share why that felt so disheartening to me, what I had to wrestle with in myself, & what has helped me come back into relationship with astrology now with more humility, reverence, trust, & respect for the mystery. This episode is really about symbolism, consciousness, free will, archetypes, mystery, & what it means to engage something sacred without reducing it.In this episode, I explore:* why the tools meant to help us know ourselves more deeply were never meant to box us in* how astrology first supported me during one of the hardest seasons of my childhood* the journey from private study to full-time professional readings* why I stepped away from astrology for a period of time* why astrology is not a belief system* astrology as an archetypal + symbolic language* the difference between using astrology as a trap vs using it as a mirror* why consciousness matters in how we engage archetypal tools* the chart as a seed, blueprint, & pattern of potential* how free will, agency, embodiment, & consciousness shape how our cosmic blueprint gets livedKey reminder from this conversationAstrology is not here to tell you who you are in a fixed, lifeless way.It is here to help you enter into a deeper relationship with your own symbolic language, your own inner world, & your own unfolding.Sometimes what is calling us back is not asking us to return unchanged, but to return with more of ourselves intact.Ways to go deeperIf you feel called to explore this archetypal language through your own cosmic blueprint, I am opening the door to readings again.Booking link: [insert link]I have also partnered with Ignite Your Aura to bring you monthly horoscopes blended with aura exploration. You can sign up for those newsletters here: [insert link]There are some beautiful new offerings coming that weave together astrology, aura, color, & the living language of archetypes.Support the podcastThank you for being here & for supporting my creative expression. If this episode resonated with you, I would love for you to subscribe, leave a review, or share it with someone who would enjoy this conversation.Within Love,Ash Brouwer Booking Link → Book A Reading With AshCONNECT WITH ASHInstagram: @reclaimwithin Substack @reclaimwithinEmail: [email protected] Get full access to Reclaim Within: Remember You are Sacred at reclaimwithin.substack.com/subscribe

Ep. 34 - How to Stay Rooted When Life Asks Everything
Ep. 34 - My prayer for you is that you learn how to stay rooted in yourself when life asks everything of you, and that you build a relationship with your inner Kingdom so strong that even in the storm, you do not lose yourself. In this episode, I share about the last 10 days of being in and out of the ICU with my husband’s father while my husband and I are also in a rebuilding season of life. It was intense, layered, & confronting on every level. And through all of it, I have never been more grateful for this work. This is a real-time reflection on what it actually looks like to live these tools when life gets hard. Not to avoid the storm, but to stay connected to yourself within it.We talk about staying grounded in your body, orienting back to prayer, holding compassion & accountability in relationship. And learning how to stand shoulder to shoulder instead of turning on each other when pressure rises.Because building your inner kingdom does not remove challenge. It changes how you meet it.As Pluto in Aquarius unfolds, we are being asked to grow in our capacity to stay in integrity, hold complexity, and remain connected even when things feel uncertain. If you are at ease in life right now or you are traversing a hard season, this episode is here to remind you to come back to yourself.IN THIS EPISODE:* Staying connected to yourself in high-stress moments* Using somatic tools instead of old coping patterns* Navigating pressure in relationships* The role of prayer and community support* Why this work matters when life gets realCONNECT WITH ASHInstagram: @reclaimwithin Substack @reclaimwithinEmail: [email protected] Love AshBooking Link → Book A Reading With Ash Get full access to Reclaim Within: Remember You are Sacred at reclaimwithin.substack.com/subscribe

Ep. 33 - Choose Respect, Even When It Costs You
Ep. 33 - In this episode, I share what it means to choose honor, dignity, & respect as a lived practice, especially when it costs you.I talk about the difference between knowing something intellectually & embodying it in real life, the grief of outgrowing self-abandonment, & the painful clarity that comes when Life asks you to stop negotiating with what your body, heart, & spirit already know is not aligned. This is a conversation about boundaries, truth, self-respect, radical responsibility, & what it means to walk through the fire without becoming hardened, just more true.In this episode:* honor, dignity, & respect as foundational skills* the cost of no longer abandoning yourself to keep connection* grief, clarity, & the death of the old self* “Why is this in my movie?” as a tool for radical responsibility* what it means to hold the gates of your own inner kingdomReflection question:Where are you being asked to tolerate less & trust yourself more?Within Love- Ash Brouwer CONNECT WITH ASHInstagram: @reclaimwithin Substack @reclaimwithinEmail: [email protected] Link → Book A Reading With Ash Get full access to Reclaim Within: Remember You are Sacred at reclaimwithin.substack.com/subscribe

Ep. 32 - Grief Is an Initiation
Ep. 32 When Loss Becomes an InitiationIn this deeply personal episode of Reclaim Within, Ash reflects on moving through a profound season of grief & what it has revealed about the human experience.Grief is something our culture often asks us to hide, move past quickly, or carry alone. But what if grief is not simply something to survive? What if grief is actually an initiation, a sacred process that reshapes us and reconnects us to the deeper truths of life?Ash explores how grief strips away illusion, invites us into greater humility, and ultimately deepens our capacity to love, to praise, and to live with more presence.Drawing inspiration from Martín Prechtel’s book The Smell of Rain on Dust, this episode reflects on the relationship between grief and praise, and how allowing ourselves to fully feel loss can reconnect us to the sacredness of life itself.Rather than resisting grief, Ash invites listeners to consider what might happen if we let it move through us, allowing it to soften our hearts and reveal a more honest way of being alive. This episode is a meditation on surrender, courage, and the quiet transformation that grief can bring. In This EpisodeAsh explores:• Why grief is not just personal but also collective• How modern culture isolates people in their grief• The relationship between grief & praise• Why bitterness can feel easier than vulnerability• The invitation hidden inside grief• How grief can soften our hearts and deepen our humanity• What it means to allow life to humble us• Why surrendering to grief can lead to a deeper connection with the sacredness of lifeA Reflection from the Episode“Grief expressed out loud for someone we have lost is the greatest praise we could ever give them. Grief is praise, because it is the natural way love honors what it misses.”A Gentle InvitationIf you are moving through grief right now, you are not alone.Grief is not a sign that something has gone wrong. It is often a sign that you have loved deeply.May you allow the waves of grief to soften your heart rather than harden it, and may you discover within the unraveling a deeper connection to the sacredness of life.Connect with AshSubstack: ReclaimWithinInstagram: @reclaimwithin Get full access to Reclaim Within: Remember You are Sacred at reclaimwithin.substack.com/subscribe

Ep. 31 - Synchronicity & The Mystery of What’s Next
Ep. 31 -In today’s episode, Ash returns from an unexpected, synchronistic break (thanks to a month-long computer repair) to explore the mystery, magic, and meaning woven into the fabric of our lives. This conversation is an invitation to notice the ways Life is speaking to you — through timing, through signs, through intuition, and through the little synchronicities that feel too aligned to be random.Ash shares her personal journey of surrendering into the unknown, shedding identities, and walking through a year marked by transformation. She weaves in numerology, astrology, Human Design, and Chinese astrology — not as predictions, but as weather patterns pointing toward a collective shift we can all feel. This episode is a gentle reminder that synchronicities are not just signs…They are invitations. They are relationship. They are intimacy with the sacred. When we learn to co-create with the unknown instead of resisting it, we remember that we are guided, held, and always connected to something greater. In This Episode, We Explore:* What synchronicities really are + why they matter* How Ash’s month-long creative pause was divinely timed* The collective “end of an era” we’re all sensing* Why this moment in history feels so uncertain — and so full of potential* How astrology, numerology, Chinese zodiac + Human Design all point to massive change* The difference between faith and fear (and why both require belief in the unknown)* How to notice the signs Life is sending you* Misconceptions about synchronicities (and what they aren’t)* How to interpret synchronicities without giving your power away* How to live in conversation with God, the Divine, the Field — whatever you call the MysteryReflection Questions for You:* Where have synchronicities been showing up in your life lately?* What is Life inviting you to trust more deeply?* How can you be in co-creation with the mystery instead of resisting it?* What identity, pattern, or belief is shedding right now? Key Quote From This Episode:“Synchronicities aren’t just guidance; they are intimacy with Life. They invite us into relationship with the sacred.” If You Love This Work…Thank you for listening + supporting my creative expression and devotion to the sacred. If this episode resonates, share it, heart it, or leave a comment — it truly means the world.Paid subscribers on Substack are invited into my monthly live community call, where we gather to navigate the mystery together. Many blessings to you.Within Love,Ash Get full access to Reclaim Within: Remember You are Sacred at reclaimwithin.substack.com/subscribe

Ep. 30 - Moving Beyond Distortion
🕊️ Episode Summary:This episode was inspired by a recent retreat where Ash and her community gathered to remember the sacredness of Life & the truth that we are the medicine.Through storytelling, reflection, and lived wisdom, Ash unpacks the nature of distortions: how they shape our perceptions, limit our capacity to live in flow, and ultimately reveal where love is still waiting to land. You’ll hear how distortions, whether inherited through collective agreements or born from personal wounds, are mirrors showing us where healing and integration are ready to occur.By bringing awareness, compassion, and presence to the moments we feel most reactive, Ash invites us to see distortion as an invitation rather than a punishment. When we take responsibility for our perception, we begin to walk with the sacred again—more whole, more human, and more alive.🌿 Key Themes Covered:* The difference between distortion and truth* How collective agreements shape perception* Why distortions are teachers, not punishments* The connection between distortion and unresolved trauma* How awareness turns tension into compassion* Four core tools to illuminate distortion: awareness, healing, authenticity, and presence* Remembering that Life is a gift from G.O.D.—the Gift of Divinity💎 Key Quotes:“A distortion is like looking into a pond and believing the rippled reflection is the truth of your face.”“Distortions become teachers instead of prisons when we take radical responsibility for our inner world.”“Self-awareness, healing, authenticity, and presence are not just practices; they are ways of bowing back to Life, ways of saying, ‘I remember.’”🪞 Reflection Questions for the Listener:* Where in your life do you feel stuck, reactive, or disconnected right now?* What story or belief might be distorting your perception in that moment?* What might that distortion be trying to protect in you?* Can you soften into curiosity instead of shame when you notice tension?* How might awareness, compassion, and authenticity transform the way you meet distortion in your daily life?🌸 Takeaway Practice:This week, when you feel emotional activation or judgment arise, pause and ask yourself:“What am I believing right now—and is it the whole truth?”Then, take a breath and listen for what your heart reveals. This simple practice turns self-witnessing into a pathway back to compassion and the sacred flow of Life.💫 Closing Message:Distortions will always exist, but they do not define you. When you take responsibility for how you perceive and respond, you reclaim your power to live from wholeness. This episode is a reminder that Life is always whispering, “I remember.”And your choice to listen, to meet distortion with love is what opens the door to deeper connection, inner freedom, and sacred alignment.🕯️ Mentioned in This Episode:* Rumi’s quote: “The wound is the place where the Light enters you.”* G.O.D. = Gift of Divinity — Donna Maria Camps🤍 Join the Circle:If this episode resonates, subscribe to Reclaim Within on Substack or wherever you listen to podcasts.Paid subscribers are invited to Ash’s monthly live Zoom calls, where we gather in community to practice reclaiming within together. Many blessings to you.Within Love Ash Get full access to Reclaim Within: Remember You are Sacred at reclaimwithin.substack.com/subscribe

Ep 29. - Why “Self-Made” Is a Lie
This week’s reflection comes straight from the heart, a gentle yet potent reminder that none of us are self-made.We live in a culture that loves to glorify independence, hustle, + the idea that we rise solely through our own grit. But when we slow down + really look at life, we see something deeper: that everything we are has been shaped by generations, communities, ancestors, + unseen hands of love.Because we are not self-made.We are earth-made, mother-made, ancestor-made, community-made, love-made.When we remember this, gratitude becomes our natural way of being. In this episode, we explore:* The myth of the “self-made” story + how it disconnects us from each other* The sacred truth that life is always a co-creation with the Creator* The invisible threads — ancestors, angels, + community — that hold us* How remembering our interdependence brings humility, reverence, + belongingSo Many Blessings to you on your Journey,Ash Get full access to Reclaim Within: Remember You are Sacred at reclaimwithin.substack.com/subscribe

Ep. 28 - Discomfort as your Teacher
🌿Ep. 28 - My prayer is that today’s episode helps you reframe discomfort not as something to fear or avoid, but as a sacred teacher guiding you deeper into your own growth.Discomfort shows up in many forms: physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual, and while it often feels unsettling, it’s also one of the most powerful catalysts for transformation. In this episode, I share personal stories of navigating discomfort & how learning to sit with discomfort has become one of the most important practices of my life.Together, we’ll explore:✨ Why discomfort signals that something is out of alignment✨ How emotional discomfort can deepen intimacy + self-awareness✨ Why avoiding discomfort prolongs suffering while leaning in creates growth✨ The ways discomfort serves as both a compass and a spiritual teacher✨ How to embrace discomfort as an initiation into resilience, authenticity, and sacred transformationDiscomfort, when welcomed with curiosity and courage, becomes a gateway into your wholeness. It breaks us open, awakens us to new possibilities, and helps us appreciate the beauty of comfort when it does come. This is the medicine of discomfort: it reminds us that growth isn’t always easy, but it is always sacred and always worth it. Ep. 27 - Putting Yourself at the Center Doesn’t Make You Selfish
Ep. 27 - In this episode, I explore the profound difference between being self-centered & placing yourself at the center of your own life.So many of us carry a deep fear of being seen as selfish. We learn to self-sacrifice, to put others first, and to abandon our own needs in order to belong. Our culture even celebrates this kind of self-erasure. But what if there is another way?Through my own lived experiences and decades of guiding others, I’ve come to see that much of the heartache we face stems from confusing martyrdom with love. True service doesn’t come from self-abandonment. It comes from being rooted in our center — aligned with our truth, our values, and our integrity. We’ll talk about:✨ The cultural fear of selfishness and how it drives self-sacrifice✨ Why identifying your own needs often brings up shame or guilt✨ The difference between self-centeredness and centering-in-self✨ How trauma plays into narcissism, projection, and distorted service✨ A simple embodied practice to help you reconnect with your inner compass✨ Why over-service leads to burnout, resentment, and disconnection✨ How honoring yourself first allows you to serve others sustainablyAt the heart of this conversation is a reminder: putting yourself at the center of your life is not selfish — it is sacred. When you live from that center, you give from overflow, not depletion. You embody service rooted in love, authenticity, and true alignment. If you’ve ever wrestled with guilt for prioritizing yourself, or wondered how to balance caring for others without losing yourself in the process, this episode is for you.
