Self-Efficacy & Being Your Own CEO

Kicking off season 2 with discussing self-efficacy as the key to start being the CEO of your career and ultimately your life. Self-efficacy is your confidence in your ability to succeed at a specific task or achieve a specific goal. It isn't a static thing, it grows as you do and can vary by situation, and the higher your self-efficacy the more likely you are to apply effort to a situation and the more resilient you will be to setbacks. Recognizing the moments in which an obstacle isn't a real barrier, just a perceived barrier due to low self-efficacy is key to taking informed risks that can push your career forward. The more you know, the more you try, the more your self-efficacy grows and you can start embracing the idea of being the CEO of your career.  If you have questions, thoughts, or a story you want to share you can email me at [email protected] or follow the podcast Instagram @rubithoughtspodcast
