Estoy muy emocionado de abrir por fin este espacio y compartir un pedacito de mi mundo con todos ustedes, donde las teclas del piano y el aprendizaje constante son los verdaderos protagonistas de mi día a día y de mi crecimiento personal. A través de este blog, quiero mostrarles lo que honestamente considero la parte más gratificante de mi trabajo: dar clases de piano a jóvenes con muchísimo talento. Para mí, enseñar va mucho más allá de transmitir técnica; se trata de ver cómo cada estudiante descubre su propia voz a través de este instrumento. Mi día comenzó con una sesión junto a Wuinller. Ha sido un viaje genial acompañarlo en este proceso, especialmente al ver cómo ha evolucionado su técnica en primera persona. Si comparamos sus primeros videos con su forma de tocar actual, el cambio en su fluidez y confianza es realmente increíble. Más tarde, la actividad continuó en la iglesia Dios de Abraham con Isaac y Jirbi. Son unos niños de 10 y 11 años que están empezando esta aventura con muchísima energía. Honestamente, mi objetivo principal con este blog es servir de impulso para todos esos jóvenes que sienten que se han estancado con la música. Lo entiendo perfectamente; a veces el piano puede parecer un desafío abrumador o incluso frustrante en ciertos momentos del aprendizaje. Si sientes que no estás avanzando en este momento, quiero decirte esto con total sinceridad: por favor, no dejes que tu instrumento se quede en silencio. El secreto es simplemente retomar la práctica con mucha paciencia, entendiendo que cada pequeño ejercicio nos acerca un paso más a la maestría. Deseo de todo corazón que practiques con disciplina y que hagas las cosas lo mejor posible. Porque cuando la música se estudia con verdadera dedicación, las notas dejan de ser simples sonidos y se convierten en una expresión genuina del alma. ¡Me despido por hoy! I'm so excited to finally open up this space and share a bit of my world with you all, where piano keys and endless learning are the real stars of my daily life and personal growth. Through this blog, I want to show you what is honestly the most rewarding part of my day: teaching piano to some incredibly talented kids. For me, giving lessons goes way beyond just teaching hand placement or reading sheet music; it's about watching each student find their own unique voice through an instrument that has the power to inspire us all. My day started with a session alongside Wuinller. It's been such a cool journey working with him, especially seeing his technique evolve firsthand. If you put his early videos next to how he plays today, the difference in his fluidity and confidence is just mind-blowing. Later on, I headed over to the Dios de Abraham church to work with Isaac and Jirbi. They’re 10 and 11 years old, and they are bringing so much energy to this new adventure. Watching their eyes light up with curiosity as they explore the keyboard is a beautiful reminder that music truly is a universal language that knows no borders. During our time at the church, we focused on some fundamental techniques to build a solid foundation for their playing. I couldn't be prouder watching them improve step by step. Their progress just goes to show that no matter how young you are, mixing a little discipline with a lot of enthusiasm leads to some seriously amazing results. Honestly, my main goal with this blog is to encourage anyone out there who feels like they’ve hit a wall with their music. I get it—sometimes the piano, or any instrument for that matter, can feel completely overwhelming and frustrating when you're trying to learn. If you feel like you're stuck in a rut right now, I want to say this from the bottom of my heart: please don't let your instrument collect dust. The secret is to just keep showing up and practicing with patience. Every tiny, repetitive exercise is secretly pulling you one step closer to playing the way you've always dreamed of. I genuinely hope you keep at it with dedication and always try your best. Because when you put real heart into learning music, the notes stop being just random sounds and turn into a true expression of your soul and hard work. That’s all for today! Por acá les saluda @samueldiaz, contentísimo de estar de vuelta con esta familia tan linda del Hive Music Festival. Hoy vengo con las emociones a flor de piel, porque lo que les voy a compartir nació directamente del corazón y de las ganas de dejarles algo con verdadero sentido. Escogí una de mis canciones favoritas. Tiene una letra de esas que te mueven la fibra, porque habla sobre la muerte y la vida de Jesucristo. Es un mensaje de victoria total —ese triunfo sobre la muerte— que me llena de una fuerza increíble cada vez que la escucho o la canto. Y para una ocasión así de especial, quise salir un poquito de mi zona de confort. Ustedes saben que mi mundo es el piano, pero esta vez me atreví a agarrar la guitarra. Con toda la humildad les confieso: sé que no soy el mejor guitarrista, sigo aprendiendo y me falta bastante recorrido con las cuerdas. Pero tenía unas ganas inmensas de interpretar este tema así, porque siento que la guitarra le da un toque súper íntimo, personal y sincero. Quería mostrarles mi progreso y hacerlo con todo el cariño del mundo para ustedes. Aprovecho para decirles a los que me están viendo: ¡no dejen de practicar! No se imaginan lo feliz que estoy de poder saludarlos por fin y unirme a esta comunidad llena de tanto talento y buena vibra hoy es mi gran debut aquí, y la verdad es que siento una mezcla loca de nervios y pura emoción. Es mi primera presentación, y me encanta la idea de romper el hielo con un tema tan honesto como "Mi Tesoro". Para mí, un tesoro no es algo material, sino eso que nos salva en nuestros días más grises por eso elegí una canción de Marcos Brunet que me llega directo al alma. Sinceramente, cada vez que le doy play a este tema, cierro los ojos y viajo en el tiempo me trae recuerdos hermosos que guardo como oro puro en mi mente. Me hace recordar con muchísimo cariño esos años en los que iba a la iglesia eran momentos de una paz increíble, donde la música era mi forma de hablar con Dios. A veces la vida nos lleva por caminos diferentes, pero volver a estas letras es como regresar a casa. Cuando leí que el tema era "Mi mayor tesoro", de inmediato supe qué canción debía compartir con ustedes hoy: "Digno" de Marcos Brunet. Para mí, esta pieza va mucho más allá de un simple cover; es como una máquina del tiempo me lleva directo a mis raíces, a mis inicios en la música y a esos años en los que asistía fielmente a la iglesia fueron tiempos que marcaron profundamente el camino de lo que soy hoy. A veces, con todo el ajetreo de la rutina diaria, uno se desconecta un poco de su esencia pero es sentarme frente al piano, tocar los primeros acordes de esta canción, y sentir que vuelvo a casa cierro los ojos y puedo recordar el eco del templo, las voces unidas y una paz inmensa. Esos momentos de adoración son, sin duda, de los tesoros más grandes que guardo en la memoria. Más que una simple tarea, esto es un avance real en nuestra creatividad cada nota, cada ritmo y cada cosa que practicamos hoy nos acerca un poco más a la meta no hay nada más gratificante que darse cuenta de que estamos avanzando y construyendo algo sólido desde cero. De verdad, es un orgullo tremendo dar este paso con ustedes. Qué gusto estar de nuevo por aquí compartiendo con ustedes en este rincón que nos une por el amor a la música y a crear cosas nuevas hoy ya estamos en el Día 2 de este camino que empezamos juntos seguimos firmes con el reto y esta vez nos toca ensuciarnos las manos con nuestros primeros ejercicios prácticos les soy sincero, ver cómo van plasmando sus ideas y dando esos primeros pasitos es lo que más me motiva. Más que una simple tarea, esto es un avance real en nuestra creatividad cada nota, cada ritmo y cada cosa que practicamos hoy nos acerca un poco más a la meta no hay nada más gratificante que darse cuenta de que estamos avanzando y construyendo algo sólido desde cero. De verdad, es un orgullo tremendo dar este paso con ustedes. Compartir lo poco o mucho que sé y ver cómo le sacan provecho es la mejor recompensa le estamos poniendo todo el corazón a este material para que sea súper claro, útil y fácil de digerir, sin importar si recién empiezan o si ya tienen algo de experiencia. Cero teoría pesada por hoy; vengo a hablarles desde el corazón sobre Wuinyer, mi alumno de piano. Acompañarlo en este proceso, de pana, me ha recordado por qué elegí enseñar música. Si leyeron mi post anterior, seguro se acuerdan de que estábamos batallando durísimo con las primeras notas. Bueno, el cambio que ha dado en estas últimas semanas es de otro planeta verlo hoy sentado frente al teclado es una vibra totalmente distinta. No les miento, al principio fue rudo. La frustración se nos sentaba al lado en el banquillo; a él le costaba relajar las manos y las partituras parecían chino mandarín. Pasamos por esas tardes de silencios larguísimos, de esos donde los dedos simplemente no hacen caso. Pero ¿saben qué? Sus ganas de aprender siempre fueron más grandes que cualquier tranca. Hoy, la historia es otra. Se me infla el pecho de ver cómo la música ya le empieza a fluir de forma natural. Ya no toca por tocar o por salir del paso; sus dedos por fin encontraron su propio ritmo y su propia voz. Lo más brutal es que ya se toca canciones completas, de principio a fin ustedes no se imaginan la cara de felicidad y alivio que pone cuando termina una pieza sin pelarse ni una sola nota. Esa cara es mi mejor paga. Pasó de estar súper tímido a darnos una sorpresa increíble a todos. Y ojo, esto no cayó del cielo. Es puro sudor, disciplina y esa terquedad bonita de no rendirse. Wuienller no se conforma con lo que hacemos en la clase; siempre llega a la siguiente sesión demostrando que practicó en su casa hasta que la canción salió porque sí. A veces me quedo mirándolo y me sorprende la seguridad con la que ahora marca cada acorde. Ese miedo a equivocarse se esfumó, y en su lugar hay una confianza que solo te da el amar lo que haces. Es, literalmente, ver nacer a un músico en tiempo real. You can't imagine the look of happiness and relief on his face when he finishes a piece without missing a single note. That face is my greatest reward. He went from being incredibly shy to giving us all an incredible surprise. And mind you, this didn't just fall from the sky. It's pure sweat, discipline, and that beautiful stubbornness of not giving up. Wuienller isn't satisfied with what we do in class; he always arrives at the next session showing that he practiced at home until the song just flowed naturally. That fear of making mistakes has vanished, and in its place is a confidence that only comes from loving what you do.
